DOOR COMPONENT AND METHOD

A door component for pivoting a movable door of a motor vehicle has a drive with an electric drive motor in order to influence a pivoting of the door between a closed setting and an open setting. A position measure for an angular setting of the door leaf and a speed parameter for an angular speed of the door leaf are detected by a position sensor. During a pivoting of the door leaf with the speed parameter, an electrical setpoint current intensity for the electric drive motor is ascertained, and an associated setpoint voltage is set. Then the current intensity flowing through the drive motor is ascertained. The setpoint voltage is increased if the current intensity is lower than the electrical setpoint current intensity, and the setpoint voltage is decreased if the current intensity is higher than the electrical setpoint current intensity.

VEHICLE DOOR OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE

Provided is a vehicle door opening/closing device. Given that a door is in an initial fully-open position, a storage unit stores: a target speed map for defining a relation between the door position and the target speed of a motor; and information indicative of an arbitrary fully open position set by a user. A map speed computation unit calculates a map speed based on the target speed map, whereas a gradually decreasing speed calculation unit calculates a gradually decreasing target speed for decreasing at a prescribed deceleration rate as the arbitrary fully open position gets closer so that a prescribed terminal speed is reached at the arbitrary fully open position. A speed sequence control unit switches a set target speed to the gradually decreasing target speed from the map speed at a door position where the gradually decreasing target speed becomes slower than the map speed.

VEHICLE DOOR CONTROL DEVICE

A vehicle door control device applied to a vehicle including a swingably supported door and a door braking unit applying a braking force to the door includes: a braking control unit that executes a first braking processing of holding the braking force at a reference braking force for stopping the door and ending when an external force acting on the door is larger than the braking force, and a second braking processing of gradually increasing the braking force from the reference braking force after the first braking processing. The braking control unit executes, during execution of the second braking processing, a processing of eliminating the braking force when a situation where the external force is larger than the braking force continues, and executes a third braking processing of holding the braking force to be equal to or larger than the reference braking force when the situation does not continue.

POWERED DOOR UNIT WITH IMPROVED MOUNTING ARRANGEMENT

A powered actuator for moving a motor vehicle closure panel from a closed position to an open position and method of construction thereof. Powered actuator includes an electric motor configured to rotate a driven shaft and a gearbox coupled to the driven shaft. An extensible member extends through the gearbox to a proximal end on one side of the gearbox for attachment to one of a vehicle body or the closure member and to a distal end on an opposite side of the gearbox. Extensible member is configured to move between retracted and extended positions in response to rotation of the driven shaft. A contamination cover enshrouds the extensible member between the gearbox and the distal end of the extensible member. Contamination cover moves between an axially extended state and an axially retracted state while the extensible member moves between the respective retracted position and the extended position.

TRUCK BED SYSTEM WITH RAISABLE PLATFORM

The present invention provides a truck bed system with a plurality of powered actuators which can raise a raisable platform above the truck bed floor to create a second platform in addition to the truck bed floor surface. The additional or second truck bed platform allows the truck user to use the upper platform for carrying tools and other goods or materials, with the space between the truck bed floor and platform for storing or moving large flat items like lumber and plywood or drywall sheets without displacing or disturbing the contents stowed on the upper platform. The present invention also allows the upper platform to be used for stowing large items like lumber and plywood or drywall sheets, with the space between the truck bed floor and upper platform for carrying tools and other goods or materials. The present invention allows the space between the truck bed floor and the upper platform, when in a raised position, to be used as secure storage when the tailgate is locked. The plurality of actuators can be attached to the truck bed floor, the truck bed walls or integrated into the space within the truck bed side walls.
