An opening/closing body control device for a vehicle is provided with a drive section configured to drive an opening/closing body of a vehicle, and a controller configured to control the drive section. In response to detection of an external force input intended to accelerate the opening/closing body in operation, the controller controls the drive section to increase the operating speed of the opening/closing element. The drive section determines that the external force intended to accelerate the opening/closing body has been input if, as one example, the acceleration of the opening/closing body in an operation direction reaches a predetermined value or higher.

A second stop controller causes the switch unit to be in the on-state and stops the control of the motor drive circuit, in a case where the manipulation target object moved in the predetermined direction stops at an intermediate position or in a case where the manipulation target object moves in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction.

A door is coupled to a door operator that includes a motor operable in a predefined power assist mode to open the door from the closed position toward the open position. The assistance provided by the motor is reduced relative to the assistance in the power assist mode in response to the door opening angle being more than a threshold amount, and further in response to a speed of the door exceeding a threshold amount as the door is being opened.

It is provided an adjustment system for a vehicle, comprising an adjustment element adjustable along two mutually opposite adjustment directions, an adjustment drive with at least one electric drive motor for generating a drive force for adjusting the adjustment element, and an electronic control unit for controlling the drive motor by specifying a motor current for generating the drive force in a height required for an adjustment operation, wherein via the electronic control unit at least one control variable is specified for setting the motor current. The control variable is based on a torque constant for the electric drive motor and an efficiency parameter characterizing the efficiency of the adjustment drive, which in the regular operation of the adjustment system can be updated via an adaptation routine.

The target assisting power computer calculates, based on the opening and closing velocity of the door obtained by the information obtainer, a standard assisting power which is assisting power required to maintain the opening and closing velocity, makes a correction by decreasing the calculated standard assisting power according to a predetermined rule, and sets the standard assisting power after the decrease correction as the target assisting power.
