MASONRY ANCHOR
An exemplary masonry anchor includes a plate and a tube extending from the plate. The plate has a first end, an opposite second end, and a pair of edges extending between the first and second end. The tube is defined by a circumferential sidewall surrounding a central opening of the tube. The tube has a first end portion secured to the plate and an opposite second end portion. In certain embodiments, the first and second ends of the plate are curved. In certain embodiments, the second end portion of the tube includes a cutout operable to receive a dimple of a channel member. In certain embodiments, one or both of the edges of the plate are bent in the direction in which the tube extends from the plate.
Male and female gasket coupling for a window frame
Embodiments described herein may be directed towards a male and female gasket coupling for securing adjacent window frames. In accordance with the present disclosure, the male gasket may comprise a head portion that creates a seal inside a cavity of the female gasket. The female gasket may further be enabled to collapse on itself as it engages a surface of the male gasket. The seal may be maintained when the male and female gaskets move toward each other or when the male and female gaskets move away from each other due to fluctuations in temperature.
Support Element for Supporting a Window Frame
A strip-shaped support element for supporting a window frame comprises an intumescent material such as expandable graphite or sodium and/or potassium silicate. In particular, the support element comprises intumescent material on at least one surface, optionally on all surfaces, in a thickness of at least 0.25 mm.
Window frame protection system for use in areas prone to storms
A window frame protection system, for holding an exterior and an interior protective panel against a window, includes an extruded lineal having a first stacked screw boss, an exterior protective panel and a groove with covering cap. Anchoring screws driven through the exterior panel and into the stacked screw boss hold the panel to the lineal. A chamber for a second stacked screw boss, and a part of the extruded lineal, is to attach an interior panel to the window frame when additional window protection is needed and when the exterior of the window frame is not accessible. The second stacked screw boss may be inserted into the chamber during construction or, if the chamber is left open, may be added only when needed. A sash support on the interior of the window frame receives a sill riser for meeting higher design loads on the window sash.
INSTALLATION FEATURES FOR FENESTRATION UNITS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Features and methods for use in connection with the installation of fenestration units. Embodiments include an installation bracket and method of use, pre-installed flashing tape, and a shim that can be broken to a desired length during shimming procedures.
EXTENDABLE WALL-ENCLOSED DOOR FRAME
An extendable wall-enclosed door frame includes: at least one extended decoration board, where an extended decoration board clamping surface of the extended decoration board is provided with an extended decoration board surface tooth buckle, one end of the extended decoration board is provided with an extended decoration board clamping part with a C-shaped groove, an extended decoration board clamping edge of the extended decoration board clamping part is provided with an extended decoration board internal tooth buckle, the external decoration board surface tooth buckle of the external decoration board clamping surface of the external decoration board is clamped with the extended decoration board internal tooth buckle of the extended decoration board clamping edge of the extended decoration board clamping part of the at least one extended decoration board; and a door frame body, where each of two side edges of the door frame body is respectively provided with a door frame body clamping part with a C-shaped groove, a door frame body clamping edge of the door frame body clamping part is provided with a door frame body internal tooth buckle, the extended decoration board surface tooth buckle of the extended decoration board clamping surface of the at least one extended decoration board is clamped with the door frame body internal tooth buckle of the door frame body clamping edge of the door frame body clamping part of the door frame body.
MODULAR ARCHITECTURAL WALL SYSTEM
A modular, lightweight, nonload bearing, space dividing architectural wall system. The architectural wall system configured to be installed in an opening defined by one or more studs of an interior wall and to interlock with one or more at least partially surrounding panels of sheet rock adhered to the one or more studs. The architectural wall system including one or more modular panels, each modular panel including at least a three sided extruded metal perimeter frame having a cross-section including a rectangular tubular portion and a pair of opposed sheet rock accommodating brackets, each defining a channel configured to receive an edge of the one or more at least partially surrounding panels of sheet rock, thereby interlocking the perimeter frame with the at least partially surrounding panels of sheet rock to secure the perimeter frame to the interior wall and to provide a finished appearance to the opening.
