Triple pane window spacer, window assembly and methods for manufacturing same
A spacer, window assembly, method of manufacturing a window assembly, and method of manufacturing a spacer is described herein involving window assemblies having three sheets of material, which will be referred to as a triple pane assembly. Two interior spaces are defined within the window assembly: a first air space between the first sheet and intermediary sheet and a second air space between the second sheet and the intermediary sheet.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR THERMAL BARRIER INSTALLATION
An insulation system including a first retention member having a first channel, a second retention member having a second channel, and a thermal bridge. The thermal bridge includes a first finger and a second finger. The first finger is received into the first channel and the second finger is received into the second channel. The system further includes a first locking tab associated with the first channel for securing the first finger and a second locking tab associated with the second channel for securing the second finger. The thermal bridge substantially reduces conductive heat transfer between the first retention member and the second retention member.
COMPOSITE PROFILE FOR DOORS, WINDOWS OR FAÇADE ELEMENTS
A composite profile for doors, windows, or other facade elements includes a first and second metal profile between which at least one intermediate metal profile is provided. The first metal outer profile is connected to the intermediate metal profile in a first insulating web zone via one or more insulating web(s), and the second metal profile is connected to the intermediate profile in a second insulating web zone via one or more insulating web(s). Both the first and second insulating web zones have different shear strengths orthogonally in relation to the cross-sectional plane of the composite profile.
DOOR/WINDOW FRAME STRUCTURE AND THE METHOD FOR MAKING SUCH A DOOR/WINDOW FRAME STRUCTURE
A door/window frame structure for making door/window casing such as doors and/or windows intended to be anchored to a supporting wall, said structure comprising at least one metal end element (2) suited to define the external surface (3) of the door/window frame and a substantially straight insulating element (4) suited to promote thermal insulation between the environments respectively located inside and outside with respect to the door/window frame structure. At least one pair of straight metal profile (13) is provided, which have a first end (16) intended to be directly coupled with the insulating element (4); at least one of the profiles of said pair has a second end (19) suited to be directly anchored to the metal end element (2).
Insulated portal
A method of assembling a portal can include obtaining a stile, wherein the stile can include a first stile and a second stile; arranging a thermal strut and insulative bar between the first stile and the second stile, wherein the insulative bar can define a lock groove; arranging a lock assembly within the lock groove, wherein the lock assembly can include a fastening plate rotatably coupled to the lock assembly; and coupling the lock assembly to the stile by rotating the fastening plate and, thereafter, engaging fasteners to provide friction between the fastening plate and the insulative bar.
ASSEMBLED DOOR AND WINDOW FRAME PROFILE AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS THEREOF
An assembled door and window frame profile and a manufacturing process thereof include a profile frame connected to a heat insulating strip, the profile frame includes a main frame and a fitting body, the fitting body is in snap-in connection with the heat insulating strip, and the fitting body is configured to be detachably connected to the main frame.
Fenestration thermal break design
A profile for a fenestration system includes first and second members, and a thermal break extending between the first and second members. The thermal break is coupled to the first member at a thermal break interconnection that includes a tab extending laterally from a body, the tab including a head extending from the body and a stem extending from the head. A channel is defined between upper and lower flanges of the first member and provides a first chamber sized to receive the head, and a second chamber extending from the first chamber and sized to receive the stem. The head is larger than the stem, and the first chamber is larger than the second chamber. The thermal break is temporarily secured to the channel by advancing the tab into the channel, and permanently secured to the channel by crimping the flanges against the tab.
