Locking arrangement and panel system
09896839 · 2018-02-20 · ·

The panel system includes lower and upper guides and at least one panel located between and connected to them, to move the panel on the lower guide. The panel system includes a hinge element fixed to the panel and allows the panel to be opened by turning essentially around a rotation axis. The panel system further includes at least two locking housings positioned successively on the upper guide. The locking housings include two opposite locking recesses, defining a circle with radius R3 and between which remains a passage with width P2. The hinge element can travel from one locking housing to another through the passage. The distance between the locking housings is distance P1, configured to be less than two times radius R3. The hinge element may include two locking cams and in addition a guiding edge remaining between them. The panel system locking arrangement includes the hinge element.

Telescoping door with swing clear breakout hinge

A door system includes a track spanning a doorway defined by a trailing jamb and an opposing lead jamb, a sidelite panel coupled to the trailing jamb by a swing clear hinge, and first and second slide panels moveable within the track. The trailing jamb includes a jamb face facing in a first direction. The swing clear hinge includes a fixed portion engaged with a revolving portion. The fixed portion is offset from the jamb face in a second direction and secured by a jamb attachment member to the jamb face. The first and second slide panels have an open configuration in the track with the revolving portion offset from the jamb face in the second direction. The panels are configured to pivot out of the track into a breakout configuration. The sidelite panel is offset from the jamb face in the second direction in the breakout configuration.

MOVABLE CLOSURE SYSTEM

Improvements to movable closure systems which aid installability and reliability of said systems can include wheels running along the top and bottom of individual slidable elements, the wheels oriented horizontally and disposed within a track configured for receiving the horizontal wheels. The horizontal wheels reduce the vertical profile of the track-engaging portions of the slidable elements, enabling more of the slidable element to be used for glass or other aesthetically-preferable transparent materials. A track leveling system enables installers to more easily deploy and properly tune the system between floors and casings which are not perfectly flush. A compression jamb permits closure of the system via slidable elements pressing into the jamb to deflect it in order to better seal the closure comprised of the individual slidable elements. A durable hinge mechanism permits the sliding elements to rotate in order to stack the sliding elements at one end of the system.

A combination door assembly includes a frame that may be coupled to a wall of a building. A door is hingedly coupled to the frame such that the door is positionable between an open position and a closed position. The door comprises a first half that is slidably coupled to a second half. The second half is positionable in an open position when the door is positioned in the closed position. Thus, the second half is configured to allow egress and entry to the building when the door is in the closed position.

Sliding device for vehicle door

A sliding device for a vehicle door includes a lower rail extending straightly and mounted on an exterior of a vehicle. A lower slider is coupled to the lower rail to move along the lower rail. A gear device is mounted on the lower slider to move with the lower slider. A linkage has one end connected to the gear device to transmit a torque and another end rotatably engaged with a lower portion of the vehicle door.

Convertible door system and method of operation

The present disclosure is generally directed to a method of operation for a convertible door system including a door accessible compartment having a moveable dividing wall that substantially divides the compartment into a first and a second sub-compartment. A first door assembly, configured to allow access to the first sub-compartment, is disposed between a first of two opposing sidewalls and the moveable dividing wall. A second door assembly, configured to allow access to the second sub-compartment, is disposed between a second of the two opposing sidewalls and the moveable dividing wall. A first and a second hinge assembly are adapted to rotationally join the first and second door assembly to respective opposing sidewalls. A third hinge assembly is adapted to rotationally join the moveable dividing wall to either the first door assembly or the second door assembly.

Slide and pivot fenestration unit

A fenestration unit is disclosed. In various examples, the fenestration unit includes a plurality of panels, including first and second panels. In some examples, one or more of the plurality of panels is configured to slide relative to a frame of the fenestration unit to provide an opening in the fenestration unit. In various examples, each of the first and second panels are also configured to be pivoted relative to the frame such that the first and second panels can be hinged or otherwise pivoted open to increase the size of the opening in the fenestration unit.
