Universal window banding clip
A universal clip assembly for use in restraining in position two window frame members post-assembly until sealant applied to the frame members fully cures. The universal clip assembly includes an upper panel, a lower panel and a hook plate disposed between the upper and lower panels. Each panel includes one or more protrusions extending outwardly from an interior surface of the panel. Interior surfaces of the upper and lower panels are positioned to face one another and the one or more protrusion from each of the upper and lower panels passes into an opening in the opposite panel as well as openings in the hook plate to secure the hook plate in position therebetween the panels.
DOORS COMPRISING GLAZED UNIT, AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A door include a first skin, a second skin, and a glazing unit. The first skin includes a first skin body portion, and a first flange portion extending inward from the first skin body portion. The first skin body portion has a first tip. A second skin includes a second skin body portion, and a second flange portion extending inward from the second skin body portion. The second skin body portion has a second tip. A glazing unit has an edge disposed adjacent to and between the first tip and the second tip. The first flange portion and the second flange portion provide an interlocking structure.
Doors comprising glazed unit, and method of making the same

LAMINATED GLASS RETENTION SYSTEM
A laminated glass retention system for securing a laminated glass subassembly within a window sash or frame member or door panel or similar component includes a retention member applied to the laminated glass subassembly. The retention member generally can include a leg portion that engages of the laminated glass subassembly, and can further include a base portion that is coupled to the frame member in which the laminated glass subassembly is seated. The retention member helps retain the insulating glass subassembly within its frame member when subjected to high winds and wind-borne debris.
Glazing system for high wind area
A glazing system that facilitates protecting windows from damage caused by high winds. The glazing system, for use with windows in doors, transoms, and in windows adjacent to doorways is an extruded polymeric frame that surrounds and supports and seals the window in place. The frame includes a stacked screw boss accessible from the exterior after removing a lineal cap. The screw boss receives screws use to hold a panel in place over the window during high winds to protect the window and which panel may be easily and quickly removed when the high winds pass. The interior side of the frame also has a screw path usable for attaching brackets for blinds to the back of the frame.
Metal frame and glass pane door element, window element, systems including same, and method for making same
An element, having an insulating glass unit mounted in a metal frame assembly, may include an outer frame assembly comprising a unitary outer frame member, a plurality of mounting studs projecting from said outer frame member in perpendicular relationship in a first pattern aligned with a first complementary pattern of mounting bores defined in an insulation body assembly when the outer frame member is disposed in common alignment with the insulation body assembly, an inner frame assembly including a multi-part inner frame member having a set of discrete inner frame side members, a plurality of mounting studs projecting from the inner frame member in a second pattern aligned with a second complementary pattern of mounting bores in a rear surface of the insulation body assembly, each mounting bore having a respective mounting bore sidewall spaced from an aligned mounting stud received therein, and a curing connection medium in the plurality of mounting bores to define a plurality of mounting connections from the inner and outer frame assemblies to the insulating body assembly.
Glazing retainer for impact rated doors
A door includes a plurality of door panels hingedly connected. At least one of the plurality of panels includes a frame, a glazing member, and a retainer member. The frame defines an opening and includes a lip extending into the opening. A front side of the glazing member is disposed adjacent the lip. The retainer member is disposed adjacent a rear side of the glazing member. The retainer member includes a body member, a first leg, a second leg, a third leg, and a fourth leg. At least three of the first, second, third, and fourth legs are configured for receipt into corresponding channels in the frame to secure the retainer member to the frame.
Press-fit window insert
A press-fit window insert configured to provide secondary protection to an existing window, having a carrier, a fin, and a fastening clip. The carrier includes a substantially rigid framework having channels within the framework configured to securely accept one or more attachments. The fin extends from the carrier and includes a substantially flexible blade extending from a base portion of the fin. The base portion of the fin is configured to interlock the fin to the carrier. The fastening clip includes a substantially rigid brim extending from a base portion of the fastening clip. The base portion of the fastening clip is configured to interlock the fastening clip to the carrier.
Structural offset adaptor for installing glass in a door frame
A structural offset adaptor formed as a unitary body for installing glass in a door frame includes snap-in connecting portions extending along each side of the structural offset adaptor, configured to retain the structural offset adaptor on an inner perimetral surface of the frame. The adaptor is configured with an inner wall and an unenclosed space adjacent the inner wall which allows the glass pane to be installed offset from the center of the door frame and flush to the push surface of the door frame. A glass-paned door with the adaptor installed on the inner perimetral surface includes the glass pane installed in the unenclosed space and flush to the push surface of the door frame. A method of installing a glass pane in a door frame includes mounting the glass flush with a push side of the door frame via the adaptor.
