Press-fit window insert
A press-fit window insert configured to provide secondary protection to an existing window, having a carrier, a fin, and a fastening clip. The carrier includes a substantially rigid framework having channels within the framework configured to securely accept one or more attachments. The fin extends from the carrier and includes a substantially flexible blade extending from a base portion of the fin. The base portion of the fin is configured to interlock the fin to the carrier. The fastening clip includes a substantially rigid brim extending from a base portion of the fastening clip. The base portion of the fastening clip is configured to interlock the fastening clip to the carrier.
THERMAL DAMPENING DEVICES FOR WINDOW SYSTEMS
A window system includes a frame, a glazing assembly held within the frame and including a glass stop attachable to the frame, wherein attaching the glass stop to the frame defines an air pocket between the glass stop and the frame, and a thermal dampening device positioned within the air pocket and defining one or more discrete cavities.
Retention clip assemblies, retention systems and methods
Retention clip assemblies, retention systems, and methods of using the same. The retention clip assemblies, retention systems and methods described herein may be used to retain glass lites and, potentially, other panels, in frame openings provided in fenestration unit frames.
WINDOW FRAME SYSTEM, THERMALLY INSULATING ELEMENT, METHOD, WINDOW FRAME STRUCTURE, FLEXIBLE PROFILE, CONTROL SYSTEM AND SUN PROTECTION SYSTEM
A window frame system for fixing at least a first panel, includes at least a first window frame structure which includes at least a first window frame profile having at least first and second holders, and at least a first thermally insulating element with sixth and seventh holders. The second holder and the sixth and/or the seventh holder of the first thermally insulating element include at least one internal corner with a radius smaller than 0.5 mm. In this way, the dimensions of the window frame profile may be smaller than in the known window frame profiles. This may be advantageous for the total insulation value of the window frame system and the quantity of material required/used for the window frame profiles. Also disclosed is a thermally insulating element, a method, a window frame structure, a flexible profile, a control system and a sun protection system.
FRAME PROFILE OF AN OUTER FRAME AND/OR LEAF FRAME, AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention relates to a frame profile of an outer frame and/or leaf frame of a window or of a door, with a core profile of plastic, wherein a casing shell is arranged on at least one of the oppositely situated outer walls of the core profile, wherein at least one of the outer walls has at least one fastening groove which extends in the longitudinal direction of the core profile, wherein the casing shell is fastened to and/or in the fastening groove and covers the fastening groove. The present invention also relates to a method for producing a frame profile.
IMPROVED SLIDING WINDOW OR IMPROVED SLIDING DOOR AND GLAZING BEAD SUPPORTS APPLIED THEREBY
Improved sliding window or sliding door with a leaf with a leaf frame that is composed of leaf profiles which each comprise two half-shells which are thermally connected to each other by an intermediate thermal insulator, whereby in the leaf frame a rebate is provided for a panel which is supported by one or more glazing bead supports in the rebate and whereby the leaf frame is supported by one or more roller cassettes with rollers, wherein at least one glazing bead support comprises a feed-through section for transmitting the weight of the panel or a part thereof to at least one concerned roller cassette and that this feed-through section extends through a bottom leaf profile of the leaf frame up to a roller cassette.
WINDOW ASSEMBLY HAVING FRAMELESS APPEARANCE AND REMOVABLE GLASS PANEL
A window assembly for installing in a window framing (also referred to as a “window casing”) of a wall of a building. The window assembly is configured to have a frameless appearance when installed with the finish surround installed around the interior and/or exterior of the window. The window assembly also allows the glass panel to be removed with a minimum of removal of the finish surround, such as without removing any of the finish surround, or only removing the finish surround around several sides of the only one of the interior or exterior of the window. For example, in most cases, only the interior finish surround around the right side and left side of the installed window frame needs to be removed to remove and replace the glass panel. Furthermore, the window assembly includes an integrated drain for draining moisture which leaks into the window assembly.
ADJUSTABLE JAMB EXTENSION
Disclosed is a window or door frame assembly having a jamb extension coupling a window or door frame. The window or door frame has a longitudinal member having a surface defining a channel formed along the length of the longitudinal member. A jamb extension having a first face and a second face, a plurality of spaced apart grooves formed on the first face and extending along the length of the jamb extension, with the jamb extension configured to matingly engage the channel. A tooth coupled to the longitudinal member and configured to engage one of the plurality of grooves for coupling the jamb extension to the window or door frame. Also disclosed are kits and process for the window or door frame assembly.
Customizable Window System for Coastal Weather Protection
A window system for use in windows, sliding glass doors, skylights, casement windows and other openings in a building. The window system enables different windows of the same building to be individually customized for different impacts of coastal area weather and security concerns and also have the same external appearance despite employing various window protection steps. Panels, interior or exterior, are secured to the header and sill. Windows may be covered with exterior panels or include interior panels or impact resistant glass when the window is high on the building, or where security is a concern Windows including casement windows and other building penetrations may also accommodate interior panels, in combination with exterior protection. The window framing may have a uniform exterior appearance, notwithstanding different levels of protection.
Jacking screw for adjusting a window frame
Embodiments described herein may be directed to the functional application and method of use of a jacking screw for adjusting a window frame. In accordance with the present disclosure, adjusting the jacking screw may cause a first portion of the window frame to be lifted or lowered with respect to a second portion of the window frame. In doing so, a desired alignment of a window installed in the window frame may be achieved. This process may eliminate the use of shimming the underlying surface, thereby making it easier to install the window frame on surfaces that are not perfectly level.
