SPACER FOR INSULATING GLAZING UNITS
A spacer for multipane insulating glazing units includes a polymeric main body having two pane contact surfaces running parallel to one another, a glazing interior surface and, an adhesive bonding surface. The pane contact surfaces, and the adhesive bonding surface are connected directly or via connection surfaces. The spacer also includes an insulation film, which is applied on the adhesive bonding surface.
Laminated pane
A laminated pane has at least two panes running, for example, parallel to one another, in which case the panes are joined together in an edge area of the laminated pane, at least in sections, with the help of a transparent mass and/or one that becomes transparent after hardening, preferably in form of glue.
FACADE ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FACADE
Disclosed is a facade element having a first glass unit, in particular insulating glass unit, and at least one second glass unit, in particular insulating glass unit, arranged adjacently thereto, wherein the two glass units are connected to one another via their edges adjoining one another in an abutment region, preferably exclusively with the aid of an, in particular transparent, adhesive connection, wherein the adhesive connection is preferably formed by a two-component silicone material. The invention further relates to a corresponding production method.
Vacuum insulating glass unit with viscous edge seal
Vacuum insulating glass (VIG) units, edge seals for VIG units and methods for forming the edge seals are provided. The VIG units include an edge seal that includes a viscous material, which serves to restrict the rate at which gas permeates into a vacuum space defined between the glass sheets of the VIG unit. The edge seals are configured to allow the glass sheets to move laterally relative to one another when the glass sheets experience differential thermal strain and further configured such that viscous shear occurs within at least a portion of the viscous material when there is relative lateral movement between the glass sheets.
GLASS PANEL UNIT
The glass panel unit includes a first glass panel, a second glass panel, a seal, an evacuated space, and a spacer. The second glass panel is placed opposite the first glass panel. The seal with a frame shape hermetically bonds the first glass panel and the second glass panel to each other. The evacuated space is enclosed by the first glass panel, the second glass panel, and the seal. The spacer is placed between the first glass panel and the second glass panel. The spacer contains polyimide represented by chemical formula (1):

Refrigerator
A refrigerator for storing food includes a multiple-glazed refrigerator door which is configured to be pivotable or slidable, and an access opening which is configured to be closed by the multiple-glazed refrigerator door. The multiple-glazed refrigerator door comprises edge-side spacer elements, a transparent vertical edge, a vertical transparent spacer element comprising a transparent material arranged at the transparent vertical edge of the multiple-glazed refrigerator door, at least one of a horizontal frame element and a vertical frame element configured to have the multiple-glazed refrigerator door be mounted thereon, and at least two transparent glass panes which are spaced apart from each other via the edge-side spacer elements. The access opening is arranged in a vertical plane. No supporting vertical frame element is arranged at the transparent vertical edge of the multiple-glazed refrigerator door.
VACUUM INSULATED GLAZING, VALVE, FLEXIBLE SEAL, AND METHOD FOR MAKING VACUUM INSULATED GLAZING
A vacuum insulated glazing includes first and second spaced apart glass panes having perimeter portions defining a vacuum space between the glass panes. A vacuum valve is positioned at the perimeter portions of the glass panes and includes a valve body extending between the perimeter portions of the glass panes, and having first and second ends and a fluid conduit extending from the first end to the second end of the valve body and in fluid communication with the vacuum space. A one-way valve in the fluid conduit permits fluid flow from the vacuum space, and prevents fluid flow into the vacuum space. A suction fitting is provided for connecting the valve body to a suction device. An end seal between the perimeter portions of the glass panes is provided for hermetically sealing the vacuum space. A valve for a VIG and a method of making a VIG are also disclosed.
PROCESS FOR OBTAINING AN INSULATING GLAZING
A process for obtaining an insulating glazing including first and second glass sheets that are held parallelly spaced apart with a transparent glass spacer adhesively bonded to the periphery of the glass sheets to make a gas-filled interlayer space, includes providing the spacer that is substantially parallelepipedal and including two rough faces opposite one another, and two smooth faces opposite one another, assembling the spacer between the glass sheets so that each rough face of the spacer is positioned close to an edge, and against an inner face of each glass sheet, the interstitial width between the rough faces of the spacer and the inner faces of the glass sheets being less than 0.01 mm, depositing, at the external joint lines between the rough faces and the inner faces, a transparent adhesive, the adhesive moving by capillary action to cover the surface of the rough faces, then curing the adhesive.
GLASS UNIT
A glass unit according to the present invention includes a first glass plate, a second glass plate that is arranged facing the first glass plate with a predetermined interval therebetween and forms an internal space with the first glass plate, a sealing member that seals a gap at peripheral edges of the first glass plate and the second glass plate, and a plurality of spacers arranged between the first glass plate and the second glass plate. The internal space has been depressurized to a vacuum state, or a predetermined gas has been injected into the internal space. The first and second glass plates each have a thickness of 5 mm or less, the pitch of the spacers is 15 mm or more, and the difference between the height of the highest spacer and the height of the lowest spacer is 0.01 mm or less.
SPACER FOR INSULATED GLAZING
A spacer for multipane insulated glazings, includes a polymeric main body, including two pane contact surfaces running parallel to one another, a glazing interior surface, and a base surface, wherein the pane contact surfaces and the base surface are connected to one another directly or via connecting surfaces and an insulating film, which has at least one metallic or ceramic layer and is applied on the polymeric main body, wherein the insulating film covers the base surface and the two pane contact surfaces completely and the glazing interior surface at least partially.
