METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING GLASS PANEL UNIT, AND GLASS PANEL UNIT ASSEMBLY
A method for manufacturing a glass panel unit includes an assembling step, a gas exhausting step, and a sealing step. At least one of a first glass pane or a second glass pane includes a low-emissivity film. In a situation where the low-emissivity film is heated at a temperature increase rate of 4° C./min before a peripheral wall is melted, a ratio of an emission quantity of a rare gas emitted from the low-emissivity film at a deformation temperature of the partition to an emission quantity of the rare gas emitted from the low-emissivity film at 100° C. is equal to or less than 2.0.
Apparatus for application of foam spacer
A foam spacer applicator may include: a conveyer unit configured to automatically transfer a glass panel; a foam head unit disposed at a predetermined distance from the front side of the conveyer unit, and configured to automatically supply and bond a spacer to the glass panel transferred from the conveyer unit through a combination of an X-axis horizontal operation and a Y-axis elevation operation through an elevation guide plate disposed with a vertical structure; and a magazine unit disposed at a predetermined distance from the rear side of the foam head unit, and configured to inject and apply a sealant to both surfaces of the spacer while adjusting tension of the spacer, and automatically supply the spacer to the foam head unit.
VACUUM GLAZING AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A vacuum glazing includes a vacuum layer formed between a first glazing and a second glazing, a spacer provided in the vacuum layer, a frame provided at edge portions of the first and second glazings, and a sealant interposed between the frame and surfaces of the first and second glazings to perform sealing of the vacuum layer. The insulating performance of the vacuum glazing is improved.
FIRE PROTECTION GLAZING INCLUDING A SECONDARY SEAL HAVING INTUMESCENT FIRE PROTECTION PROPERTY
Fire protection glazing made of two or more glass panes spaced apart from each other by a spacer. A fire protection material and the spacer are arranged in an intermediate space between the two glass panes. A secondary seal encloses the fire protection material and the spacer in the intermediate space. The secondary seal has a intumescent fire protection property. Exclusively the fire protection material, the spacer, optionally having an optional spacer attachment for attaching the spacer to the glass pane, and the secondary seal can be arranged in the intermediate space between the two glass panes.
GLASS PANEL UNIT
Provided is a glass panel unit that reduces the chances of an electric wire extended being disconnected. A glass panel unit includes a first panel, a second panel, a seal, a connecting void, and an electric wire. The first panel includes a first glass pane. The second panel includes a second glass pane and is arranged to face the second glass pane. The seal has a frame shape and hermetically bonds respective peripheral edge portions of the first panel and the second panel to create an internal space between the first panel and the second panel. The connecting void is provided for a portion, other than a portion facing the internal space, of at least one of the first panel or the second panel. The electric wire is extended from the internal space to the connecting void by passing through the seal.
AUTOMATED SPACER PROCESSING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The invention provides automated spacer processing systems and methods. The systems and methods involve at least one robot arm that is configured to process spacers for multiple-pane insulating glazing units. In some embodiments, the systems also include an insulating glazing unit assembly line and a spacer conveyor system. Additionally or alternatively, the systems may include a sealant applicator.
Asymmetrical vacuum-insulated gazing unit
A vacuum insulating glazing unit includes a first glass pane having a thickness Z1, and a second glass pane made of prestressed glass having a thickness, Z2, where Z1 is greater than Z2 (Z1>Z2) The glazing unit also includes a set of discrete spacers positioned between the first and second glass panes and a hermetically bonding seal sealing the distance between the first and second glass panes over a perimeter. A vacuum of pressure less than 0.1 mbar is created in an internal volume V. A thickness ratio, Z1/Z2, of the thickness of the first glass pane, Z1, to the thickness of the second glass pane, Z2, is equal to or greater than 1.30 (Z1/Z2≥1.30).
SHEETS OF POLYMERIZED SILOXANE AND RELATED METHODS FOR PROVIDING INSULATION BETWEEN AN INTERIOR OF AN ENCLOSURE AND OUTSIDE OF A WINDOW
Sheets of polymerized siloxane and related methods for providing insulation between an interior of an enclosure and outside of a window are disclosed. According to an aspect, a method includes providing a sheet of polymerized siloxane. The method also includes placing the sheet to at least substantially cover a pane of a window of an enclosure. Further, the method includes attaching the placed sheet to the window for providing insulation between an interior of the enclosure and outside of the window.
MULTI-PANE INSULATED GLASS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The invention relates to a multi-pane insulated glass (10), including at least two panes (15, 16), between which an edge seal (13) is inserted. The edge seal (13) has a peripheral spacer (14). The edge seal (13) separates a pane intermediate space (11) from a pane exterior space (12). A primary sealant (17) is provided between the peripheral spacer (14) and the panes (15, 16). The primary sealant seals the pane intermediate space (11) from the pane exterior space (12). An elastic seal (19) is provided which, seen from the pane intermediate space (11), is located in front of the primary sealant (17). The elastic seal provides sealing between the spacer (14) and a pane (15, 16).
