INTEGRATED GUIDE SYSTEM AND DOOR SEAL FOR A SOFT CLOSE SLIDING DOOR
20210010324 · 2021-01-14 ·

A door system includes a door having a top edge, a leading edge, a trailing edge and an inner face. A first gasket is deformed into engagement with the inner face adjacent the top edge, a second gasket is deformed into engagement with the inner face adjacent the top edge and spaced from the first gasket. An acoustic barrier is positioned to close a gap between the first gasket, the second gasket and the inner face. A third gasket is mounted to a structure adjacent the door and a fourth gasket is mounted to the trailing edge of the door. Sealing members on the first gasket engage sealing members on the second gasket when the door is in the closed position.

Systems and Methods for Sealing a Refrigerated Galley of an Aircraft

The present disclosure provides system for sealing a refrigerated galley of an aircraft. The system includes a door, and a seal assembly positioned at a bottom surface of the door. The seal assembly includes (i) a housing coupled to the bottom surface of the door, (ii) a seal positioned at least partially in the housing, wherein the seal is moveable relative to the housing and the door, (iii) a biasing mechanism coupled to the housing and the seal and configured to hold the seal in a relaxed state by applying a biasing force to the seal in a direction away from a floor surface of the refrigerated galley, and (iv) an activation mechanism coupled to the housing. The activation mechanism is configured to transition the seal from the relaxed state to a compressed state in response to a rotation of the door from an open position to a closed position.

A door arrangement has a door frame, a door leaf, door hinges and a magnetic closure device, wherein the door hinges are fastened on a hinge side of the door leaf and join the door leaf swivelably with the door frame. The door frame has a step for stopping the door leaf in the closed position, the step having a stop arm overlapping the door leaf in the closed position and a lateral arm. The closure device is formed from a magnet arrangement on the door frame as well as a magnetic material on a rim of the door leaf. The magnet arrangement is disposed on the lateral arm in such a way that a gap remains between the magnet arrangement and the magnetic material disposed on the rim of the door leaf.

A seal for a sill-free door for sealing a gap between a door leaf and a floor has a carrier rail (2) and a sealing profile (3) retained on the carrier rail (2). The sealing profile (3) has a substantially u-shaped cross section with two limbs (30) and a sealing crosspiece (32), which connects the two limbs (30) to one another and is intended for bearing with sealing action on the floor. There is a cavity (37) present, said cavity being defined by an underside (23) of the carrier rail (2), by the limbs (30) and by the sealing crosspiece (32), wherein the sealing profile (3), on each limb (30), has at least one strip (34) which is arranged on an inner side of the limb (30), projects into the cavity and is intended for improving the sound insulation. At least two strips (34) have a thickness which is greater than the thickness of the adjacent region of the limb (30). Said seal has optimized sound insulation.

DOOR WITH MAGNETIC SEAL
20240093547 · 2024-03-21 ·

A door includes a door frame with abutment element, a door leaf movable from open to closed positions, a seat, and a guillotine accommodated in the seat and passing from a retracted to an extended position along a sliding direction. A first magnet, integral with the guillotine, exerts a magnetic attraction of the guillotine into the seat. A second magnet, separated from the first magnet, is integral with the guillotine. A second magnet interaction element, separated from the first and second magnets, and interacting with the second magnet, is integral with the abutment element to attract the second magnet and exert an extraction on the guillotine, the second magnet extracting the guillotine from the seat only when the second magnet faces the second magnet interaction element or when the sliding direction intercepts the second magnet interaction element, the first magnet exerting a lower magnetic action than the second magnet.
