FOAMED HOLLOW CHAMBER PROFILES
A method for manufacturing a foamed profile including one or more longitudinal hollow chambers having a closed section, including (a) extruding a first polymer composition, in the presence of one or more first foaming agents, into a foamed base profile having a polygonal section, preferably a rectangular section, the first polymer composition including one or more (co)polyesters, (b) cooling the foamed base profile, (c) creating a trench along the length of the foamed base profile by removing material, preferably by means of milling, cutting, laser or thermofusion, the trench forming two parallel branches in the foamed base profile, each of the branches including an outer surface opposite the trench and an inner surface facing the trench, and (d) extruding, inside the trench, a second polymer composition which may or may not be identical to the first polymer composition, preferably in the presence of one or more second foaming agents, into a spacer at at least one location between the two inner surfaces of the two branches of the trench, so as to form at least one closed hollow chamber inside the trench. The disclosure also related to foamed profiles including one or more longitudinal hollow chambers having a closed section, in particular insulators for reducing the thermal bridge effect between two connected building elements.
Profiled safety strip and door comprising a profiled safety strip
The aim of the invention is to provide a rubber profiled safety strip or an elastic profiled safety strip which can carry out a signaling function. To this end a profiled safety strip (10) is provided for a door (15) of a transport means, wherein the profiled safety strip (10) contains an opaque elastic main part (11) in which at least one receiving region (17, 18) is formed, and in the at least one receiving region (17, 18) an insert strip (12, 31) is disposed, which contains at least one light source (13, 32) and is made of an elastic material that is at least partly transparent.
Top-hanging sliding door including wedge design top seal
Systems and methods for providing a door seal system for top-hanging sliding doors. In some implementations, two angled mating surfaces are used, one angled surface on a fixed frame and one reversed angled surface on the slideable door panel. The slideable door panel slides directly parallel to the fixed door frame. A mating seal surface is created that is only in frictional contact for a small portion of the linear slide distance of the door panel. In some implementations, rather than placing two opposing angled seal surfaces, the sealing system has one angled surface on the fixed door frame. In such implementations, the sliding door panel is adjusted to be in a reverse angled orientation relative to the angled surface of the fixed door frame. Seal designs for the rear vertical edge of the slideable door panel are also provided herein.
Reinforced flexible structure or seal
A reinforced flexible seal (101 and 201) for sealing a gap or space, such as a gap or space between an edge of a wall, fence, door, door leaf or wing, port or window and a surface adjacent to the wall, fence, door, door leaf or wing, port or window is provided. The flexible seal may be used to provide a barrier below a door leaf or door wing in order to avoid entrance of for example unwanted animals. The reinforced flexible seal has a width and a length and comprises a flexible outer material (102a, 102b, 202a, 202b), and a plurality of elongated metal wires (103, 203) embedded in the flexible outer material and running substantially in a longitudinal direction of the reinforced flexible seal with at least part of said elongated metal wires arranged at a distance to each other. For at least one of the embedded elongated metal wires, at least part of said metal wire holds several bent, bulging or wavelike deformations in the longitudinal direction of the wire.
INTERFACE GASKET FOR BUILDING ENVELOPE PENETRATIONS
A gasket assembly for attaching a window to a panel opening includes an inner frame, an outer frame, and an elastic material connecting the inner frame to the outer frame. The elastic material extends contiguously and circumferentially to couple the outer frame to the inner frame. The outer frame and inner frame can include gap flanges and the elastic material can include opposing lateral side portions. The gap flanges are embedded in the lateral side portions of the elastic material. The outer frame includes connecting structure for coupling of the outer frame to the panel opening. The inner frame includes connecting structure for coupling of the gasket assembly to the window. The gasket assembly is configured to support the window in the panel opening and form a seal between the panel opening and the window. A method of making a gasket assembly is also disclosed.
ADJUSTABLE CORNER PAD AND METHOD OF USE
The present invention is a sealing pad between the perimeter of a door and its surrounding structure, such as a doorjamb. In particular, the present invention provides a sealing pad that is adjustably mounted to a bottom corner of the doorjamb.
Modular shielded enclosures and related methods using glidable shielded walls
Lightweight, glidable shielded components (e.g. doors) may be used in conjunction with accredited enclosures to provide electromagnetic, acoustic and CBR protection.
Sliding door draft prevention device
The present disclosure relates to a draft stopper for a sliding door system. The draft stopper including a longitudinally extending body having a front end, a rear end, a top, and a bottom with a longitudinally extending flap portion hingedly attached to the top of the body. The longitudinally extending flap portion is configured to substantially fill a recess of the sliding door system in an engaged position and abut at least one door of the sliding door system preventing drafting air from entering a structure.
Access port seal
An apparatus for sealing an opening in a metal sheath surrounding an insulated pipe is provided, the apparatus including a base comprising an outer flange securable within the opening, and defining an inner passage therethrough, the base having an annular ridge extending into the inner passage; a flexible waterproof body positionable within the inner passage, the body having a periphery therearound and a groove located within the periphery adapted to engage around the annular ridge; and a flexible metal element within the base.
