Embodiments described herein may be directed to the functional application and method of use of a heel bead gasket and glass stop for sealing a window frame. In accordance with the present disclosure, the heel bead gasket may comprise a head portion and a heel portion, each held in place by a glass stop. The head portion and the heel portion of the heel bead gasket may each include soft rubber portions for engaging a surface of the window and an inner portion of a window sill, respectively. The glass stop may exert a forces on both the head and heel portions of the heel bead gasket so as to press the rubber portions against surfaces, thereby creating seals. Together, the heel bead gasket and glass stop may create a seal that prevents water from leaking through the sill of the window frame.

JACKING SCREW FOR ADJUSTING A WINDOW FRAME

Embodiments described herein may be directed to the functional application and method of use of a jacking screw for adjusting a window frame. In accordance with the present disclosure, adjusting the jacking screw may cause a first portion of the window frame to be lifted or lowered with respect to a second portion of the window frame. In doing so, a desired alignment of a window installed in the window frame may be achieved. This process may eliminate the use of shimming the underlying surface, thereby making it easier to install the window frame on surfaces that are not perfectly level.

A door seal for attaching to a door includes an elongated body that has a first arm for attaching to the door and a second arm pivotably coupled to the first arm. The first arm has a first connection feature, and the second arm has a second connection feature that is configured to connect to the first connection feature of the first arm. The first arm is movable relative to the second arm to a folded configuration that allows the door seal to be rolled to a coiled configuration. The second arm is movable relative to the first arm to allow the second connection feature to connect to the first connection feature such that the door seal is in an installed configuration.

DOOR ASSEMBLY AND COMPONENTS FOR PROVIDING ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC) SHIELDING
20240044202 · 2024-02-08 · ·

A door assembly provides EMC shielding to provide EMI/RFI protection. The door assembly has an EMC door frame, an EMC door, and EMC seals for maintaining a circuit between the door frame, the floor (e.g., threshold, flooring, etc.), and/or the door. The door assembly may also utilize one or more EMC elements (e.g., EMC tape, paint, adhesive, coatings, caulk, etc.) that may be used to create the circuits between the components of the door assembly and/or with other components of the building (e.g., between the door frame and the wall). The EMC shielding is used to reduce (e.g., limit, block, etc.) the levels of electrogenic interference (EMI)/radio frequency interference (RFI) radiation that is able to pass by the shielding. Moreover, the door assembly also provides improve additional door assembly performance (e.g., sound, weather, air flow, heat, cold, or the like abatement, energy harvesting, or other performance benefits).
