SEAL WITH RAT RESISTANT BARRIER
A flexible and oblong blade seal for sealing a gap between a door leaf and an adjacent surface includes a flexible outer material and B) a section with the sealing function (the sealing section), in which a barrier of a plurality of substantially parallel metal wires and/or narrow metal strips is embedded in the flexible outer material in such a way, that the wires and/or strips are arranged in parallel to the longitudinal direction of the seal. A method for mounting such seals and a method for producing them.
ROLLER ASSEMBLY AND SCREEN END RETENTION FEATURES FOR A HIDDEN SCREEN ASSEMBLY AND A FENESTRATION ASSEMBLY
A fenestration assembly includes a sash, a frame surrounding the sash, and at least one screen assembly. The sash includes at least one magnet. The sash is slideably engaged with the frame. The at least one screen assembly includes a roller assembly, a control bar, and screen material attached to the roller assembly and the control bar. The roller assembly is substantially hidden from view. The control bar includes a ferromagnetic material. The screen assembly is configured to apply tension to the screen material to wind the screen material around the roller assembly and to permit the screen material to unwind from the roller assembly under a tension applied to move the control bar away from the roller assembly. The control bar automatically engages the at least one magnet of the sash when the sash is in the closed configuration to attach the control bar to the sash.
FOAM RUBBER MOLDED PRODUCT
A foam rubber molded produce obtained by molding a rubber composition containing 100 parts by mass of ethylene--olefin-nonconjugated diene copolymer, 4 to 30 parts by mass of amorphous 4-methyl-1-pentene copolymer, 2 to 8 parts by mass of blowing agent, and a sulfur-based vulcanizing agent, and having a Mooney viscosity after kneading (ML1+4, 100 C.) of 54 or less. A specific gravity is 0.3 to 0.8, a compression set is less than 27%, and a foam state is an interconnected cell.
SCREEN EDGE RETENTION AND SCREEN RETHREADING FEATURES FOR A HIDDEN SCREEN ASSEMBLY AND A FENESTRATION ASSEMBLY
A fenestration assembly includes a sash, a frame surrounding the sash, and at least one screen assembly mounted in at least one of: the top portion and the bottom portion. The frame includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two jambs forming first slots extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the jamb. The first slots each include a screen edge retention feature. The screen assembly includes a roller assembly substantially hidden from view, a screen material attached to the roller assembly, and a plurality of raised features. Edges of the screen material extend into the first slots. The raised features are attached to each of the edges of the screen material. The raised features are configured to engage the screen edge retention features and retain each of the edges of the screen material at least partially within the first slot of each of the two jambs.
Stackable weatherstrip
A weatherstrip with improved stackability has a rigid base portion including a planar surface and a flexible strip portion adhered over a corner of the base portion and extending outwardly at an angle to the planar surface of the base portion.
Low compression-force TPE weatherseals
A weatherseal has a stiffener and a foam profile. A first portion of the foam profile is connected to the stiffener. A second portion of the foam profile is joined to the first portion at a hinge. The first and second foam profile portions have inner surfaces facing substantially towards each other and outer surfaces facing substantially away from each other. The foam profile defines at least one continuous elongate lumen. A portion of the foam profile has a resin coating.
SEALING SYSTEM FOR OVERHEAD DOOR
A sealing system for a storage enclosure is disclosed. The sealing system includes a sealing member having a first sealing portion, and a second sealing portion that extends from the first sealing portion. The second sealing portion including a first leg and a second leg. The first leg extends from the first sealing portion at a first angle, and the second leg extends from the first sealing portion at a second angle. The second angle is larger than the first angle.
A SEAL COMBINATION WITH A LOWER SEAL PART HOLDING A BRUSH OR FIBRE MATERIAL RELEASABLY SECURED TO AN UPPER SEAL PART AND A SEAL WITH A LOWER FLEXIBLE SEAL PART
A seal combination including an upper seal part formed at least partly by a flexible material and a lower seal part holding a brush or fibre material is provided. The lower seal part has a top part releasably secured to a bottom part of the upper seal part and extends in the longitudinal direction of the upper seal part along said bottom part. A top part of the lower seal part is provided with a strip of hook or loop fasteners, and the bottom part of the upper seal part is provided with loop or hook fasteners mating with the strip of hook or loop fasteners provided at the lower seal part to thereby releasably secure the lower seal part to the upper seal part. There is also provided a seal having an upper seal part and a lower flexible seal part with a thickness being smaller than the thickness of the upper seal part.
Systems and methods for manufacturing reinforced weatherstrip
Methods for manufacturing fabric-reinforced weatherstrip include incorporating a fabric application step into a process for making coated substrates. In one embodiment, a strip of the fabric from a roll of material may be applied directly onto a coating after it has been applied in a coat die to a foam profile, while the coating is still in the molten state. Alternatively, a fabric application plate may be attached to an upstream side of coating die with a fabric feed channel cut into the plate. The fabric follows the channel to contact and mate with the foam profile. The fabric applicator plate may be configured so as to exert pressure on only the part of the product where the fabric is being applied. Ultrasonic welding techniques may also be employed.
Refrigerated Railcar Door Sealing Gasket
A railcar door sealing gasket includes a bulb body secured along one of a door jamb stop surface or a door perimeter stop surface. The bulb body is integrally formed by a tubular sleeve internally separated with a wall into interior and exterior elongate channels. The separating wall is formed with pair of planar walls extending at an angle with respect to each other from the sleeve to a crest towards the interior channel. When the gasket is compressed between the door and jamb stop surfaces, the sleeve portion adjacent the exterior channel is forced against and forms a seal along one of the jamb stop surface or door stop surface, and the separating wall folds along the crest forcing the sleeve portion adjacent the interior channel against and forms a seal along a door perimeter surface extending at an angle from the door stop surface.
