Load space covering device

A device, kit, and method that utilize a cover for covering a load space of a vehicle. The cover is movable between a retracted position in which the load space is uncovered and a deployed position in which the load space is at least partially covered. A detector is used for detecting an object in the path of the cover, such that damage to the object or cover may be avoided during deployment of the cover.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a switching apparatus for a powered adjustment system of a window shading, wherein said switching apparatus includes: a magnetically actuated switch positioned externally to the powered adjustment system and having an on position and an off position, wherein said magnetically actuated switch actuates a drive mechanism of the powered adjustment system in the on position, the drive mechanism being configured to adjust a position of the window shading; and an alignment feature positioned on a housing for the window shading proximal to said magnetically actuated switch, said alignment feature being configured to position a magnet of a switching tool outside the housing to control the powered adjustment system by actuating said magnetically actuated switch between the on position and the off position.

RETRACTABLE PRIVACY SYSTEM AND METHOD

A retractable privacy system and method are disclosed. The system has two or more drums having one or more motors inside each of the respective drums. A flexible sheet is rotated around each of the respective drums by the respective motors to roll-up or roll-down the respective flexible sheets. Each of the respective flexible sheets has side edges which are parallel to each other and perpendicular to a top edge and a bottom edge. A flexible mating surface is attached to each side edge and is configured to connect with the flexible mating surface of the adjacent flexible sheet. A battery and a motor controller are located inside the respective drums. The system further includes a beacon comprising a communication tilt plate comprising a front side and a back side. The front side has an outer touch surface, while the back side has electronic components mounted thereon. The back side further also has a raised center pivot and a plurality of spring loaded switches mounted thereon disposed around the periphery of the back side of the tilt plate. In this way, tilting the communication tilt plate by pressing proximate the periphery of the outer touch surface one or more of the spring-loaded activates the switches to thereby communicate commands to the respective motor controllers. In particular, the respective motor controllers receive commands to roll-up or roll-down the respective adjacent flexible sheets thereby connecting and disconnecting the respective flexible mating surfaces of the respective flexible sheets.

The secondary radio circuit may generate a first control signal indicating that the radio-frequency signal is presently being transmitted by the external device. The control circuit may wake up the primary radio circuit from the sleep mode in response to the secondary radio circuit generating the first control signal indicating that the radio-frequency signal is presently being transmitted by the external device.

Door curtains with position sensor switches are disclosed. An example door for selectively blocking and unblocking a passageway includes a frame to be adjacent the passageway. The example door includes a curtain moveable selectively to a closed position and a first open position, where the curtain blocks the passageway in the closed position, and the curtain unblocks the passageway in the first open position. The example door also includes a bracket to be attached to the frame. The bracket is movable selectively to a normal position and a displaced position relative to the frame. The example door further includes a switch to be attached to the bracket and in sensing relationship with the curtain. The curtain supports at least some weight of the bracket when the bracket is in the displaced position. The curtain supports no weight of the bracket when the bracket is in the normal position.
