ACCESS CONTROL DEVICE FOR PERSONS OR VEHICLES
An access control device (1) for blocking or opening a passage (2) for persons or vehicles. The access control device comprises one or two blocking bodies (3, 3), each arranged on a carrier (4, 4). Each blocking body (3, 3) comprises a mechanically reversibly deformable element (5, 5) which, in a first position, is substantially planar and opens the passage (2) and, in a second position, assumes a curved shape which blocks the passage (2). One or both ends of the deformable element (5, 5) are connected to an actuator (7). A controller controls the deformable element for transferring them first between the first and second positions. When transferring the deformable element from the first to the second position, either the distance between the ends of the respective blocking body is reduced or, when the ends have a constant distance, the length of the blocking body is increased.
ANIMAL CRATE
A door assembly for an animal enclosure includes a door frame and a door each having a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires. The door frame defines an opening for an animal to pass therethrough, and the door is slidably coupled to the door frame such that it moves between an open position and a closed position relative to the door frame to allow egress and ingress through the opening. A catch member is coupled to the door frame. A latch includes a base member, a bolt, and a lever portion. A first vertical wire and a second vertical wire of the door are spaced from one another such that the first vertical wire is at a first end of the door and the second vertical wire is at a second end of the door. In the closed position, the bolt is coupled to the first vertical wire.
SELF-CONTAINED GATE
A modular self-contained gate for selectively blocking an entryway comprising an ISO standard shipping container modified such that an existing closed end wall of the shipping container comprises an elongate slot-like opening arranged vertically and adjacent an edge of the closed end wall, a substantially flat and rectangular gate comprising a long edge having a length substantially the same as a length of the shipping container and a height less than a height of the opening, the gate aligned with and linearly displaceable through the opening between a first position wherein the gate is stored inside the shipping container and the entryway is open and a second position wherein the gate is extended outside of the shipping container and passage via the entryway is barred, and a support mechanism inside the shipping container suspending the gate such that the gate remains suspended above the ground.
Retractable gate system
A gate system includes a first fixed support structure having a plurality of fixed rails defining respective passageways and a gate that moves relative to the fixed support structure between an open position and a closed position. The gate includes a plurality of gate rails that slide within the respective passageways as the gate moves between the open position and the closed position. Furthermore, the gate includes one or more compressible sheets coupled to the plurality of gate rails, and the one or more compressible sheets are configured to move from a compressed position to an expanded position as the gate moves from the open position to the closed position.
Push and slide gate handle
The present gate handle includes a push button that is pushed before the gate handle is slid from a closed position to an open position on top of a support member. The support member includes a resilient button that extends into the gate handle and is pushable out of the gate handle by the push button. The support member further includes side slots that are engaged by side slides extending from the handle.
Crash gate panel and components
A barrier for use with a gate assembly includes a quadrilateral frame comprising top and bottom horizontal members and first and second vertical members, a horizontal gate beam extending longitudinally from a buttress end to a latch end, the gate beam constructed of a W-beam having a web oriented horizontally and extending laterally between first and second flanges, a first stop connected to the buttress end and extending perpendicular to the first and second flanges, a first latch connected to the latch end, the first latch forming a hook comprising a shank extending longitudinally from the latch end, a point located opposite the shank, a gap between the point and the shank, and an opening between the point and the latch end, and the gate beam connected to the frame between the top and bottom horizontal members.
Internally Supported Bridging Apparatus for Connecting Tubular Frame Members
A connecting device connects between the open ends of tubes of two adjacent frames within a cantilevered structure. The device is a bridging apparatus having opposing first and second portions received within the open ends of the tubes. First and second sets of circumferentially spaced fasteners bores in respective first and second portions of the bridging apparatus align with bores in the tubes so that fasteners threaded into the fastener bores clamp the first and second portions against corresponding inner surfaces of the tubes at each fastener location. In this manner, the fasteners in both tubes are oriented in different radial directions such that the bridging apparatus is better suited to bracing adjacent frame sections in a cantilevered structure such as a gate panel against a variety of different loads from different directions, including wind loads and the like.
Cantilevered gate assembly
The frame of a cantilevered gate is formed from upper and lower tracks, each of which is formed from a series of track sections. Adjacent track sections are spliced together. At the lower track, two mirror-image lower splicing elements fit over opposite sides of the joined track sections. At the upper track, a single upper splicing element forms an external connection between the track sections, while a splicing block forms an internal connection. Paired upper and lower track sections are joined by upright members. The upright members are seated at opposite ends within a tubular member of a track section. Each tubular member includes an elongate external fin to which pickets are attached.
ANTI-RAM CRASH GATE
An exemplary method associated with a crash gate configured to guard against motor vehicles crossing in a direction from an attack side to a protected side includes securing a buttress post assembly and a latch post assembly on opposite sides of a roadway, the buttress post assembly having two vertical buttress posts forming a barrier passage, the latch post assembly having two vertical latch posts forming a latch gap, and a vertical pin positioned in the latch gap; and mounting a moveable barrier in the barrier passage, the barrier including a rectangular frame with a horizontal gate beam extending from a buttress end to a latch end, the latch end including a hook open toward the protected side, wherein in a closed position the latch end is located in the latch gap.
