Configurable ladder system and method
A configurable ladder system that can be configured into any of a plurality of different ladder configuration modes and methods for manufacturing and using same. The configurable ladder system includes at least one side rail and at least one support member and can be configured into any of a plurality of different ladder configuration modes. Each support member is disposed on a relevant side rail or on an optional adjustable rail. Depending upon a selected ladder configuration mode of the configurable ladder system, two or more of the support members can be configured to engage respective support regions within an intended work environment of the configurable ladder system. Thereby, the configurable ladder system advantageously can be readily adapted for use within a wide range of different purposes within a large number of a different work environments while enhancing user safety.
Ladder with a guardrail
A ladder with a first guardrail locking system having a first pair of side rails with a first set of steps and a second pair of side rails with a second set of steps. The two sets of side rails are rotatably joined together by a pair of hinges at a first pair joining sections and a second pair joining sections. The first pair joining sections and the second pair joining sections have joint points such as indentations which engage the locking key of a first guardrail so that the first guardrail may be fixedly attached to the joining sections. The ladder may also have a second guardrail, wherein the second guardrail is attached to the first guardrail so that two guardrails form a ring around a user standing on a foldable stand of the ladder.

Ladder, Overmolded Foot and Method
A ladder having a first rail having a bottom and a web, a first flange attached to a first end of the web and a second flange attached to a second end of the web. The ladder having a second rail. The ladder having rungs attached to the first rail and second rail upon which a user steps to climb the ladder. The ladder having a foot having a plastic body with a recess which receives the end of the first rail and is positioned about and conforms to the web and the first and second flanges of the first rail. The foot has a plastic base having a top side from which the body extends. The base has an edge positioned about the body with perforations, and a rubber tread disposed along an underside of the base and extending through the perforations and along the edge on the top side of the base to form an overmolded portion of the tread that attaches the tread to the base without any mechanical or other types of fasteners. The rubber tread forms a bond with the underside of the base and the edge on the top side of the base. The foot for a bottom of a rail of a ladder. A method for placing a ladder. A method for producing a foot for a bottom of a rail of a ladder.

Step ladder
A ladder including a first frame, a second frame and a platform assembly. The first frame includes one or more fixed steps. The platform assembly includes a first platform pivotably coupled to the first frame, a second platform pivotably coupled to the first frame, a first linkage coupled between the second frame and one of the first platform and the second platform, and a second linkage coupled to the first platform and the second platform. The ladder is movable between a closed position and an open position.

Ceiling ladder, deep step and method
A ceiling ladder having a plurality of sections that can be climbed by a user when in an unfolded position into an attic and that can be folded together into a retracted position to be stored above the ceiling. The ladder has a deep step, which has a width greater than the width of other steps of the ladder, in which is located between about 2-5 feet from the floor when the ladder is in the unfolded position so user can stand on the deep step in place objects into the attic without having to climb into the attic. A deep step for a ceiling ladder.
