REINFORCED BALLOON CATHETER
A balloon catheter is described having a reinforced, co-axial, duel lumen design. In some embodiments, the balloon catheter includes a purging mechanism designed to purge air from the balloon.
Intravascular devices, systems, and methods to address eye disorders
A method may include accessing an artery in communication with an ophthalmic artery of a subject, and advancing a microcatheter along the accessed artery so as to align a distal end of the microcatheter with an ostium of the ophthalmic artery, wherein the microcatheter includes a lumen having a guidewire positioned therein. In addition, the method includes proximally withdrawing the guidewire relative to the microcatheter so as to enable a distal portion of the microcatheter to assume a curved relaxed configuration, and cannulating the ostium with the distal portion of the microcatheter when the distal portion is in the curved relaxed configuration.
BALLOON CATHETER
A balloon catheter is provided with a balloon; an outer shaft that is coupled to a proximal end of the balloon with a first coupling part; an inner shaft that is inserted into the outer shaft and that is coupled to a distal end of the balloon with a second coupling part; and a proximal end-side marker disposed on the inner shaft. The ends of the proximal end-side marker are disposed astride at least one of a distal end coupling position and a proximal end coupling position of the first coupling part.
Balloon catheter assisted by pulling a puller-wire
A medical instrument includes a shaft, a distal-end assembly and a puller-wire. The shaft is configured for insertion into a body of a patient. The distal-end assembly, which is coupled to the shaft, includes a telescopic assembly, configured to elongate so as to collapse the distal-end assembly, and to compress so as to expand the distal-end assembly. The distal-end assembly further includes an elastic element, coupled to self-elongate and thus elongate the telescopic assembly. The distal-end assembly also includes an inflatable balloon, which is coupled to the telescopic assembly and is configured to collapse by the telescopic assembly elongating, and to expand by the telescopic assembly compressing. The puller-wire runs through the shaft and is connected to a distal end of the telescopic assembly, and is configured, when pulled, to compress the telescopic assembly.
Balloon catheter
A balloon catheter for treating elongate diseased vessels with a variable diameter, comprising a pre-stretched balloon and a catheter shaft, which forms a wire lumen embodied to guide a guide wire and forms a liquid lumen by which a liquid can be fed to the balloon. The balloon is fastened to a first catheter shaft element at a first, proximal fastening site and fastened to a second catheter shaft element at a second, distal fastening site, wherein the second fastening site is movable along a longitudinal axis of the catheter shaft in relation to the first fastening site. The balloon surrounds a section of the catheter shaft which extends between the first and second fastening sites. Here, the section of the catheter shaft surrounded by the balloon encloses different regions of the catheter shaft with a changing longitudinal extent of the balloon.

ANGIOPLASTY OF CALCIFIED ARTERIES
A medical device (1) for assisting the break-up, disruption or disintegration of calcified or other hardened material within vessels of the human or animal body which material otherwise prevents or inhibits stenting procedures or passage of guidewires, catheters and other devices through the vessels. The device comprises a catheter (2) having a lumen (9) extending between a distal end (5) and a proximal end (6) of the catheter and a displaceable element (4) at the distal end of the catheter configured for axial and/or radial displacement relative to the catheter when driven by pressure fluctuations within the lumen. A pressure pump (11) is coupled to a proximal end of the catheter and is configured for application of a baseline pressure to the catheter lumen. A pressure modulation source (12) is also coupled to the proximal end of the catheter, configured to modulate the baseline pressure in the catheter lumen with one or more pressure impulses, and preferably with a series of pressure pulses.
Single Lumen Reduced Profile Occlusion Balloon Catheter
Balloon catheter devoid of guidewire or guidewire lumen and having a proximal shaft with only a single continuous lumen. A coil assembly is mounted at its proximal end to the distal end of the proximal shaft defining an interface therebetween. Disposed about a distal section of the proximal shaft and a proximal section of the coil assembly is a sleeve. A balloon, having a vent hole, forms a proximal leg seal about an outer surface of a distal end of the sleeve and an opposite distal leg seal. The sleeve covers the interface and extends axially in a distal direction terminating underneath the proximal leg seal of the balloon. A distal section of the coil assembly at least partially coincides with the distal leg seal of the balloon. A wire member secured at a plurality of connection points along the coil assembly extends axially within the balloon.
Occlusion balloon catheter and methods of fabrication and use
A balloon catheter assembly is provided with an outer catheter, an inner catheter, an outer adapter and a balloon, and is configured such that the balloon resides entirely within a predetermined volume having an outer diameter substantially equal to or less than the outside diameter of the distal end of the outer catheter when the balloon is in a deflated configuration. Methods of using and steering the catheter assemblies are also provided.
