A high torque vascular catheter system includes an inner catheter, a proximal outer catheter section, a distal outer catheter section, at least one discrete connection point connecting the inner catheter to the proximal outer catheter section, and at least one discrete connection point connecting the inner catheter to the distal outer catheter section. The distal outer catheter section is more flexible than the proximal outer catheter section. Methods of construction and use of the catheter system are also disclosed.

Balloon catheter

A balloon catheter includes an inner cylinder shaft having a small-diameter inner cylinder section in a tip side and a large-diameter inner cylinder section in a base-end side; an outer cylinder shaft with the inner cylinder shaft in its lumen; a balloon whose tip is fixed at a tip of the inner cylinder shaft, and whose base end is fixed at the tip of the outer cylinder shaft, wherein the outer cylinder shaft and the inner cylinder shaft slide over each other and cause a shape change between a normal balloon shape and an extended balloon shape; and a housing communicating with the lumen of the outer cylinder shaft, and having a small-diameter lumen in the tip side and a large-diameter lumen in the base-end side; wherein the housing has an insertion inlet for insertion of the inner cylinder shaft, and a liquid inlet/outlet.

BALLOON CATHETER SYSTEMS AND METHODS

The embodiments disclosed herein relate to balloon catheter assemblies. The balloon catheter assemblies can include a hub, an elongated member, and an inflation balloon. The balloon catheter assemblies can also include a support wire having a proximal end that is longitudinally displaceable within a sleeve that is disposed in the catheter hub. A distal end of the support wire may be coupled to the inflation balloon at one or more positions.

Weeping balloon catheter with ultrasound element

Systems and methods for treating a blood clot positioned within a blood vessel are disclosed. In one embodiment, a balloon member is positioned on a distal end region of a catheter and an ultrasound emitting element is positioned within the balloon member and arranged for actively emitting ultrasound. In some exemplary embodiments, the disclosure provides a multi-wall balloon member and a multi-lumen catheter with at least one and/or all cavities of the balloon member arranged for heat transfer with the ultrasound emitting element. The disclosure also provides catheter arrangements with an ultrasound emitting element arranged to heat tissue adjacent to the balloon member. Additionally, in some embodiments, at least one and/or all walls of the balloon member have apertures arranged to release a therapeutic agent such as a thrombolytic drug.

Cuff-resistant anchoring balloon for medical device

A medical device having an elongate support structure and an inflatable balloon including a first-end portion secured to the support structure at a first location, a second-end portion secured to the support structure at a second location distal to the first location, and a middle-body portion. The first-end portion has a wall thickness greater than a wall thickness of the middle-body portion; the balloon defines a sealed interior through which the support structure extends. The balloon being stretch-mounted to the support structure in tension relative to the support structure; the balloon is formed in a diamond-like configuration that transitions to a substantially spherical configuration when the balloon is inflated to a inflation pressure that is at least about ten percent greater than atmospheric pressure, such that when inflated to the inflation pressure and anchored in an anatomical body region, resists movement of the support structure relative to the balloon.

A balloon catheter includes a balloon and an inner shaft. The inner shaft includes a marker member arranged on an outer periphery of a coil body having a sparsely wound portion in which gaps are formed between adjacent windings of the wire of the coil body. A distal end part and a proximal end part of the marker member are arranged at a position facing a void formed within one of the gaps between the adjacent windings of the wire of the coil body. The inner shaft of the balloon catheter therefore will not buckle, preventing damage to the balloon by contact with the marker member when the balloon catheter is passed through the inside of a curved blood vessel.

BALLOON CATHETER

A balloon catheter includes a catheter shaft, a balloon, and a protruding portion. The balloon is connected to the catheter shaft. The balloon includes an inflatable portion and a distal end connecting portion. The protruding portion protrudes radially outward with respect to a center axis of the catheter shaft. The protruding portion has at least one of a first protruding portion provided on the distal end connecting portion of the balloon, or a second protruding portion provided on a distal end extending portion. The distal end connecting portion includes at least a region where a protrusion amount is smaller than a protrusion amount of the protruding portion.

A catheter includes: a catheter tube that includes a base-end portion; and a connector that includes an insertion hole in which the base-end portion is inserted, and a surrounding portion that has a tubular or annular shape and surrounds a part of a non-inserted tube portion of the catheter tube. The connector is joined to the base-end portion in the insertion hole, the surrounding portion is located closer to a tip-end side of the catheter than is the insertion hole and apart from the non-inserted tube portion, and the non-inserted tube portion is out of the insertion hole toward a tip-end side of the catheter.

Balloon catheter

One embodiment provides a balloon catheter which has an inner tube having a main lumen and an outer tube which forms an expansion lumen. A part of the inner tube is connected to the outer tube at a position closer to the proximal end than a balloon, a side hole is open at the connection section, and a weak section is provided to the inner tube a position closer to the distal end than the side hole. The weak section has lower rigidity than the remaining portion of the inner tube. When the balloon is expanded by fluid supplied to the expansion lumen, the weak section is pressed by the fluid pressure to thereby close the main lumen of the inner tube.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR DELIVERING SUBSTANCES INTO A FALLOPIAN TUBE

A system for delivering one or more substances into a Fallopian tube of a patient may include a balloon catheter including a tube having a distal end, a balloon having a first end coupled to the distal end of the tube, and a push wire having a distal end coupled to a second end of the balloon, which may be hollow. The balloon may be movable between an inverted position and an everted position. The balloon catheter may be configured to receive the one or more substances such that the one or more substances may be retained by the balloon, or delivered through the push wire, or both. During eversion, or in the everted position, or both, the one or more substances may be delivered into the Fallopian tube.
