Connector for wellbore tubulars
A connector for connecting a first wellbore tubular to a second wellbore tubular includes a tubular housing connectable to the second tubular and an internal surface facing an internal bore, and a ramp assembly arranged around the surface having a plurality of elongate ramp arrays and a plurality of elongate channels arranged to separate adjacent ramp arrays. The connector includes a slip body which is insertable into the internal bore having an internal surface with at least one slip tooth for engaging the first tubular, an external surface and a ramp assembly arranged around the external surface having a plurality of elongate ramp arrays which grip the first tubular and a plurality of elongate channels arranged to separate adjacent ramp arrays. The ramp arrays of the slip body are each alignable with a respective channel of the tubular housing. The slip body is rotatable within the tubular housing.
Variable extension tube assembly with adjustable interlock device
Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to securing downhole conduits. A system comprises a first conduit comprising teeth extending along a circumference of the first conduit; a second conduit comprising apertures, the first conduit movably disposed within the second conduit; and a retaining clip disposed within the apertures, portions of the retaining clip operable to engage or disengage the teeth while the retaining clip is disposed within the apertures.
A DRIVE SUB FOR A DRILLING ASSEMBLY
A drive sub for a drilling assembly includes a tubular body configured to receive and releasably engage a drilling tool. The body has inner and outer faces and further has a castellated edge provided on its operative downhole end, which edge defines a plurality of lugs separated from each other by intervening slots. In one aspect the drive sub has a contour profile provided at least in partially along a circumference of the castellated edge, wherein the contour profile traverses the castellated edge substantially from the inner face to the outer face. In another aspect the drive sub has a channel provided in each of the lugs, wherein the channel at least partially traverses the lugs and leads from an inlet opening on the castellated edge to an outlet opening on the outer face. The contour profile and/or channel facilitate flow of drilling fluid and cuttings past the lugs during use.

Rod section of a ground drilling rod, drive element, rod section system, and ground drilling device
The invention relates to a rod section of a ground drilling rod, wherein the rod section is configured at the end side to form at least one plug connection and has at one end (a) a male connector with an outer contour or (b) a female connector with an inner contour, wherein, in cross section, the outer contour or the inner contour has a shape deviating from a circle.
Wired swivel in wellbore drilling
A swivel includes a male segment, a female segment, and a lock pin. The male segment can mate with the female segment, and the lock pin can pass through the female segment and engage with the male segment to prevent relative axial movement of the male segment and the female segment while allowing relative rotational movement of the male segment and the female segment. The male segment includes a first conductive ring configured to couple to a first wire. The female segment includes a second conductive ring configured to couple to a second wire. Contact between the first and second conductive rings establishes an electrical connection between the first and second wires.
INTERLOCKING TUBULAR WITH SECTIONED PARTS AND RELATED METHOD
An interlocking independent tubular with multiple circumferential sections allows a borehole to advance by encasing with a single pass, the structurally independent tubular. The independent tubular is single layered, having a major arc and a minor arc forming circumferential sections. The minor arc may be defined by less than 180 degrees, and the major arc may be a circumferential section defined by greater than 180 degrees. The major arc and minor arc align longitudinally to form the independent tubular. Installation may involve partially radially collapsing the major arc, inserting the major arc and minor arc through a previously installed tubular, reexpanding the major arc and connecting the major arc and minor arc to form the independent tubular downhole from the previously installed tubular, and joining the independent tubular to the previously installed tubular. The tubes may be joined by interlocking female and male ends of the tubes.
Downhole device delivery and associated drive transfer system and method of delivering a device down a hole
A downhole device delivery and drive transfer system includes a sub which is arranged to attach to a drill string and a tool which is configured to enable it to travel through the drill string and releasably couple to the sub. The sub and the tool are arranged so that when they are releasably coupled to each other torque imparted to the drill string is transferred by the sub to the tool. The tool is arranged to carry one or more devices for performing one or more downhole functions such as core drilling, hole reaming or wedge placement for directional drilling. The system also has a guide mechanism that operates between the sub and the tool to guide the tool to a known rotational orientation relative to the sub as the tool travels into the sub. A fluid control system controls the flow of fluid through the tool through a downhole outlet and a plurality of ports intermediate opposite ends of the tool.
Combined multi-coupler with rotating locking method for top drive
A tool coupler includes a first component having a tubular body and a locking member and a second component. The second component includes a housing having an opening for receiving the tubular body; a locking ring having a latch; and an axial channel; a recess for receiving the locking member, wherein the latch is positioned in the channel to retain the locking member in the recess.
