Rotating hanger assemblies and methods
A wellhead hanger assembly is provided. In one embodiment, a system includes a wellhead hanger, an inner sleeve coupled to the wellhead hanger, a running tool coupled to the inner sleeve, and an outer sleeve coupled to the running tool. The outer sleeve may be positioned to transmit torque from the running tool to the wellhead hanger, and the wellhead hanger may be in castellated engagement with the outer sleeve via a set of castellations and mating slots. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.
ROTATABLE WELLHEAD AND CENTRALISER
A side tipper system for a vehicle includes a container for carrying material and selectively discharging carried material. The container includes a container body defining an upper portion of a first side wall, a second side wall opposing the first side wall, and a pair of opposing end walls; a floor pivotally coupled to the second side wall; and a side door pivotally coupled to the floor and defining a lower portion of the first side wall in a closed position and forming a discharge opening in an open position. The system further includes end assemblies configured to be mounted to a vehicle chassis at respective ends of the container, each end assembly operatively coupled to the container for supporting the container and for controlling discharge of material by: moving the side door from the closed position to the open position; and lifting the container body relative to the chassis.
Downhole Mechanical Actuator
Disclosed herein are various embodiments of well control system for drilling an oil or gas well safely and efficiently by providing a mechanical actuator capable of transmitting a rotational force downhole, and converting the rotational force to an axial force for the purpose of operating downhole equipment, including subsurface safety valves, compressible bladder valves, and sliding sleeve valves. Because the actuator is mechanical and not hydraulic as in conventional equipment, the force applied is independent of the depth at which it is applied, overcoming a major deficiency seen in comparable hydraulic systems.
Modular Head for Well Tubulars
A head for a well tubular. The well tubular head includes features that may be applied to a casing head or a tubing head. The well tubular head includes a bowl tubular reversibly connected with a casing connector. The bowl tubular is adapted for connecting with an uphole component of an equipment stack or other system. The bowl tubular includes a hanger profile for receiving a casing hanger or tubing hanger. The casing connector is adapted for connecting with the casing. The bowl tubular and the casing connector may be replaced independently of each oth-er. Removable connection points for flow lines may be includ-ed on the well tubular head to facilitate changing flow lines or flow line connection points. The bowl tubular may include a dri-ve system for rotating tubing.
DRIVE ASSEMBLY FOR A WELL SITE
A drive assembly for a tubing rotator comprising: a linear force to motive force convertor including an input for receiving a linear motion drive force and an output for outputting a rotary motion drive force, an arm for receiving a linear drive force and inputting it to the linear force to motive force convertor and an actuator couplable to a polish rod and configured for transmitting a linear drive from the polish rod to the arm.
Tubing Hanger Assembly with Adjustable Load Nut
A tubing hanger assembly includes a tubing hanger body, a downward facing load shoulder axially displaceable relative to the body, an annular load member rotatably supported on the body, and a torque member operatively engaged between the load member. The load shoulder and load member are arranged such that rotation of the load member relative to the body results in axial displacement of the load shoulder relative to the body. In use, the torque member rotates the load member to thereby displace the load shoulder axially relative to the body.
Tubing head spool with adapter bushing
Apparatus and methods provide for a tubing head spool that may be disposed in a wellhead during drilling or other wellbore operations, after which a tubing hanger adapter may be disposed within the tubing head spool for hanging tubing. Methods include installing a tubing head spool onto a wellhead, installing a blow out preventer onto the tubing head spool, drilling a well by running downhole tools and at least one casing string through the tubing head spool, running a tubing hanger adapter bushing through the blow out preventer and into the tubing head spool, running a tubing string into the well, and landing out the tubing string using a tubing hanger configured to hang within the tubing hanger adapter bushing.
Wellbore sealing with hybrid wicker system
A wellbore system includes a sealing assembly for creating an annular seal between wellbore members. The sealing assembly includes a wicker profile defined a first sealing surface for engaging and embedding into a radially adjacent, second sealing surface. The wicker profile includes a first section having a first hardness and a second section adjacent to the first section and having a second hardness greater than the first hardness. Both the first and second sections of wickers are embedded into the second sealing surface, and can thus provide a high degree of both sealing and lockdown performance.
Tubing Hanger Assembly with Adjustable Load Nut
A tubing hanger assembly is provided which includes an annular tubing hanger body, a lockdown feature, an annular load member positioned on the body below the lockdown feature and rotatable relative to the body, and an annular load shoulder axially displaceable relative to the body. The load shoulder is associated with the load member such that in a first rotational position of the load member the load shoulder is spaced a first axial distance from the lockdown feature, and in a second rotational position of the load member the load shoulder is spaced a second axial distance from the lockdown feature, the second distance being greater than the first distance.
Coiled Piston Assembly
A tubing hanger assembly includes a body having an annular outer surface, a lockdown feature which is located on the body, a load nut which is threadedly connected to the body and has a downward facing load shoulder, and a piston assembly for adjusting a vertical distance between the load shoulder and the lockdown feature. The piston assembly includes an elongated cylinder which is positioned circumferentially around the body axially adjacent the load nut. The cylinder has a first cylinder end which is connected to the body and an open second cylinder end. An elongated piston is slidably received in the cylinder. The piston has a first piston end which is oriented toward the first cylinder end and a second piston end which is configured to extend through the second cylinder end and engage the load nut such that extension of the piston causes the load nut to rotate relative to the body. A seal is positioned between the piston and the cylinder to thereby define a piston chamber between the first cylinder end and the first piston end which is connectable to a source of fluid pressure. In operation of the piston assembly, the piston rotates the load nut to thereby move the load nut axially relative to the body so that the axial distance between the load shoulder and the lockdown feature can be adjusted.
