HANGER ORIENTATION SYSTEM
A system that includes a hanger orientation system that orients a tubing hanger within a wellhead. The hanger orientation system includes a conduit defining a first end and a second end opposite the first end. A sleeve couples to the conduit. The sleeve defines a spiral groove that engages a pin to rotate the tubing hanger.
Tubing hanger running tool systems and methods
A tubing hanger running tool includes an inner annular body, an outer annular body positioned circumferentially about the inner annular body, and an outer sleeve positioned circumferentially about the outer annular body and configured to move in an axial direction to actuate a hanger-to-wellhead lock ring to set the tubing hanger within the wellhead. The tubing hanger running tool also includes one or more control line adapters, wherein each of the one or more control line adapters are configured to fluidly couple a first passageway in the outer annular body to a second passageway in the inner annular body to provide a continuous control line path through the tubing hanger running tool as the tubing hanger running tool runs and sets the tubing hanger within the wellhead.
TUBING HANGER AND WELLHEAD ASSEMBLY WITH TUBING HANGER
A wellhead assembly and a tubing hanger comprising: an outer hanger body for supporting the tubing hanger in a tubing head, the outer hanger body including: an upper end and a lower end; an outer surface having a downwardly tapering shape; an inner bore extending from the upper end to the lower end; a lockdown shoulder; an annular extension between the lockdown shoulder and the upper end of the outer hanger body; and an annular seal extending around an outer diameter of the annular extension, the annular seal configured to seal against debris passing therepast down along the outer surface from the upper end toward the lockdown shoulder when the tubing hanger is supported in a tubing head.
Swivel device for rotating a bowl
The swivel device attaches to a bowl or is implemented as a component of the bowl. The swivel device enables adjustment of the bowl to align the outlet with the flowline. A flange of the swivel device includes multiple fastener apertures for securing the flange to the stack. The swivel device secures the bowl to the stack while allowing rotation of the bowl. Rotation of the bowl adjusts the positioning of the outlet to align the outlet with the flowline for connecting the outlet to the flowline.
Casing string torque transfer and suspension system and method for mandrel casing hangers
A casing string torque transfer and suspension system and method for mandrel casing hangers. A running tool for a mandrel casing hanger suspending a casing string includes a pair of rotary drive rings secured around the running tool, a torque transfer ring of the pair of drive rings including a series of sloping teeth that removably couple to the mandrel casing hanger, the drive rings transferring torque to the casing string to rotate the casing string in a right-handed direction during one of running of the casing string, cementing of the casing string or a combination thereof, and the pair of rotary drive rings transferring axial loads to the casing string when the running tool is threaded to the mandrel casing hanger. Rotation of the rotary drive rings in a left-handed direction retracts the rotary drive rings as the running tool separates from the mandrel casing hanger.
Wellhead assembly with integrated tubing rotator
Embodiments of a wellhead assembly have a tubular body with a removable bottom cap to house a tubing rotator comprising a multi-enveloping worm gear assembly which provides sufficient torque to rotate tubing strings in deep and/or deviated wellbores. The bottom cap is supported on a wellhead having a dognut for supporting a production string therefrom in a wellbore. The bottom cap rotatably supports a mandrel and multi-enveloping worm wheel thereon, the mandrel being connected to the dognut and tubing string for co-rotation therewith. The tubular body supports a multi-enveloping worm for engagement with the worm wheel when the tubular body is lowered axially onto the bottom cap. When the tubular body and worm are lifted axially from the bottom cap, the worm wheel and mandrel are exposed for repair or replacement without need to pull the production string from the wellbore. The tubular housing can further house a flow tee and opposing blowout preventer ports and rams therein, forming an integrated wellhead assembly.
Systems and methods for assembling a wellhead
A wellhead system includes a tubing or casing hanger to be installed in a wellhead, the tubing or casing hanger including an outer surface including a landing profile configured to engage a mating landing profile of the wellhead, a landing sensor configured to transmit a signal indicating contact between the landing profile of the tubing or casing hanger and the landing profile of the wellhead, and a processor configured to receive the signal transmitted by the landing sensor.
Rotator apparatus and method therefor
A rotator apparatus for rotating a plunger, traveling barrel, valve rod, or sucker rod of a pumping system. The apparatus is adapted to be coupled to various downhole pump components and positioned within the wellbore. In one embodiment, the rotator apparatus includes a north coupling component, a piston, a cage, and a south coupling component. In an embodiment, the piston may include a plurality of flutes, which are formed so as to impart cyclonic rotation on fluids passing into the interior of the piston. On each downstroke and upstroke, the piston rotates an increment, causing the south coupling component and plunger, traveling barrel, valve rod, or sucker rod to rotate an increment. The rotation imparted on the plunger, traveling barrel, valve rod, or sucker rod redistributes the solids present in the fluid, preventing accumulation of the solids and constant wear in one particular area of the plunger and/or barrel.
Quick Disconnect Stripper Packer Coupling Assembly
A stripper packer coupling assembly can include a packer operable to receive a tubular therethrough and form a seal about the tubular. The packer can comprise a plurality of coupling protrusions, each having a coupling head defining a first capture interface. Additionally, the stripper packer coupling assembly can include a capture mechanism. The capture mechanism can comprise a guide member having a plurality of guide openings, each operable to receive one of the plurality of coupling heads therein. The capture mechanism can also comprise a plurality of capture members, each defining a second capture interface. capture members can be operably coupled to one another such that they are simultaneously movable relative to the guide member and the coupling protrusions between a capture position and a release position. In the release position, the capture members can facilitate passage of the coupling heads through the guide openings. In the capture position, the first and second capture interface surfaces engage to mechanically interfere with passage of the coupling heads through the guide openings.
WELLHEAD ASSEMBLY
A wellhead is provided. The wellhead comprises a high pressure wellhead housing; a casing hanger assembly located within the high pressure wellhead housing; and a casing supported on the casing hanger assembly. The casing hanger assembly is arranged so that the casing is able to move relative to the high pressure wellhead housing. This may be to accommodate well growth experienced by the wellhead during use.
