WIRELESS DOWNHOLE FEEDTHROUGH SYSTEM
An apparatus for communicating signals across a wellbore barrier defined by a first flow completion system component positioned at an upper end of the wellbore and a second flow completion system component mounted within the first flow completion system component includes a first wireless node which is mounted on the first flow completion system component on a first side of the wellbore barrier, the first wireless node being configured to be connected to an external device, and a second wireless node which is mounted on the second flow completion system component on a second side of the wellbore barrier, the second wireless node being located generally opposite the first wireless node and being configured to be connected to a downhole device. The first and second wireless nodes are configured to communicate wirelessly through the wellbore barrier using near field magnetic induction (NFMI) communications.

Apparatus and method for recovering fluids from a well and/or injecting fluids into a well
Methods and apparatus for diverting fluids either into or from a well are described. Some embodiments include a diverter conduit that is located in a bore of a tree. The invention relates especially but not exclusively to a diverter assembly connected to a wing branch of a tree. Some embodiments allow diversion of fluids out of a tree to a subsea processing apparatus followed by the return of at least some of these fluids to the tree for recovery. Alternative embodiments provide only one flowpath and do not include the return of any fluids to the tree. Some embodiments can be retro-fitted to existing trees, which can allow the performance of a new function without having to replacing the tree. Multiple diverter assembly embodiments are also described.
Downhole mechanical actuator
Disclosed herein are various embodiments of well control system for drilling an oil or gas well safely and efficiently by providing a mechanical actuator capable of transmitting a rotational force downhole, and converting the rotational force to an axial force for the purpose of operating downhole equipment, including subsurface safety valves, compressible bladder valves, and sliding sleeve valves. Because the actuator is mechanical and not hydraulic as in conventional equipment, the force applied is independent of the depth at which it is applied, overcoming a major deficiency seen in comparable hydraulic systems.

Polymers for Wellbore Plugs and Wellbore Stability
Apparatus, compositions, and methods for creating polymer plugs in wellbores and/or for enhancing wellbore stability, comprising: a flow control device such as a blowout preventer on a wellbore; a control fluid aperture fluidly connected with the wellbore for introducing a control fluid and/or a plug-forming agent such as a polymer, monomer, resinous, and/or crosslinkable material, through a control fluid aperture and into the primary throughbore while wellbore blowout fluid flows through the wellbore; and optionally, a weighted fluid aperture positioned in the wellbore conduit below the control fluid aperture for introducing a weighted fluid or another fluid or plug-forming agent into the wellbore. Exemplary plug-forming agents include dicyclopentadiene and norborene, and exemplary catalysts include Grubbs catalysts. The polymer plugs also may be utilized to hydraulic sealing within wellbores, such as during P&A and drilling operations for providing wellbore stability.
