The expandable metal sleeve has a first end part, a second end part and an outer face, and at least one of the end parts includes at least one circumferential groove facing the outer part face, wherein the tubular metal part bulges radially outwards in relation to the axial extension, forming at least one circumferential projection engaging the groove, thus providing a connection of the expandable metal sleeve to the tubular metal part.

The present invention relates to a downhole packer assembly for expansion of a metal sleeve, such as a metal patch, in a well downhole in a well tubular metal structure, the well having a top comprising a body part having an axial extension, a first end facing downhole and a second end facing uphole towards the top of the well, an expandable tubular packer element surrounding the body part, and a first end and a second end of the expandable tubular packer element are fixedly connected with the body part, providing an expandable space therebetween, the expandable space being fillable with liquid during expansion, and a metal sleeve surrounding the expandable tubular packer element, wherein the downhole packer assembly further comprises a restriction unit comprising an axially movable part, the axially movable part having a first part end facing the first end of the expandable tubular packer element and a second part end facing away from the expandable tubular packer element, the axially movable part having a first axial position in which the axially movable part at least partly overlaps the expandable tubular packer element and a second axial position in which the axially movable part has been axially displaced in relation to the body part away from the expandable tubular packer element. The invention also relates to a downhole system comprising the downhole packer assembly and a driving unit, such as a downhole tractor, for propelling the downhole packer assembly in the well tubular metal structure.

The resin including a hardening resin adapted to harden inside of the inflatable bladder to form a hardened plug downhole in the well.

A multi-expansion packer is deployed in a borehole. The multi-expansion packer includes an outer part and an inner part disposed within the outer part. An outer part pump expands the outer part with a first fluid to engage the outer part with an inner surface of the borehole. A leakage sensor is configured to detect a leakage of the first fluid from the outer part which causes at least a portion of the outer part to disengage from the inner surface. An inner part pump expands the inner part with a second fluid. A controller responds to the detected leakage to control the inner part pump to pump the second fluid into the inner part until at least the disengaging portion of the outer part re-engages the inner surface of the borehole. A method comprises steps performed during operation of the system.

The first ring member has an opening with an inner diameter sized to encircle a basepipe of the wellbore. The second ring member has a tapered interior surface and an end with an opening having an inner diameter sized to encircle the basepipe and connect to the first ring member such that the end tabs of the first ring member are locatable in the end opening of the second ring member and pressable against the tapered interior surface such that flexed portions of the end tabs engage with the basepipe.
