METHOD FOR SLIM HOLE SINGLE TRIP REMEDIAL OR PLUG AND ABANDONMENT CEMENT BARRIER
Provided in one aspect is a new tool and methodology to work, in a single-trip system, and create conduits through the casing or tubing to access the annuli, circulate out the annuli contents, accurately deliver the cement required to create the subsequent barrier. The tool and system provided by this aspect provide a cost effective way of plugging an oil and gas well in a single trip without the need to remove in-place production casing.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ZONAL CEMENTING AND CENTRALIZATION USING WINGED CASING
Systems and methods for cementing an annular space radially outward of a casing of a subterranean well include a float shoe located at a downhole end of the casing. A float valve is located within the float shoe and within a fluid flow path extending through the float shoe from an internal bore of the casing to an exterior surface of the float shoe. At least two wing members are located on an outer diameter surface of the casing, each of the wing members extending from the float shoe to an uphole end of the casing. The wing members are sized to define two or more separate sections of the annular space. A downhole splitter is located on a downhole surface of the float shoe. The downhole splitter is sized to seal between the downhole surface of the float shoe and an end surface of the subterranean well.
SYSTEM FOR SUCCESSIVELY UNCOVERING PORTS ALONG A WELLBORE TO PERMIT INJECTION OF A FLUID ALONG SAID WELLBORE
A system for successively uncovering a plurality of contiguous ports in a tubing liner within a wellbore, or for successively uncovering individual groups of ports arranged at different but adjacent locations along the liner, to allow successive fracking of the wellbore at such locations. Sliding sleeves in the tubing liner are provided, having a circumferential groove therein, which are successively moved from a closed position covering a respective port to an open position uncovering such port by an actuation member placed in the bore of the tubing liner. Each actuation member comprises a dissolvable plug which in one embodiment is retained by shear pins at an uphole end of a collet sleeve, the latter having radially-outwardly biased protuberances (fingers) which matingly engage sliding sleeves having cylindrical grooves therein, based on the width of the protuberance. In one embodiment, when actuating the most downhole sleeve, the shear pin shears allowing the plug to move in the collet sleeve and prevent the protuberance (fingers) from disengaging.
Thru-tubing retrievable intelligent completion system
Systems and methods for thru-tubing completion including a sub-surface completion unit (SCU) system including a SCU wireless transceiver for communicating with a surface control system of a well by way of wireless communication with a down-hole wireless transceiver disposed in a wellbore of the well, one or more SCU anchoring seals having an un-deployed position (enabling the SCU to pass through production tubing disposed in the wellbore of the well) and a deployed position (to seal against a wall of the target zone of the open-hole portion of the wellbore to provide zonal isolation between adjacent regions in the wellbore) and one or more SCU centralizers having an un-deployed position (enabling the SCU to pass through the production tubing disposed in the wellbore of the well) and a deployed position (to position the SCU in the target zone of the open-hole portion of the wellbore).
Flow control device
A flow control apparatus includes a housing having a bore extending and a port formed through a wall of the housing; and a port sleeve disposed in the housing and having a port in communication with the port of the housing. The apparatus also includes a first sleeve releasably attached to the housing, wherein the first sleeve is movable from a first position preventing axial movement of the port sleeve relative to the housing to a second position allowing axial movement of the port sleeve relative to the housing. The apparatus further includes a second sleeve releasably attached to the port sleeve, wherein the second sleeve is movable from a first position blocking fluid communication through the port of housing and the port of the port sleeve to a second position allowing fluid communication through the ports.
Stage cementing tool
A stage cementing tool for a wellbore comprises a tool body defining a flow port in a wall thereof. The tool body and wellbore define an annulus therebetween. A setting sleeve compresses a packer element as it moves from the first to the second position. The packer element expands radially outwardly to engage the wellbore as a result of the compression applied by the setting sleeve. A pump-out plug in the tool body is expellable into the annulus upon the application of pressure in the tool body after the packer element engages the wellbore.
GEOPOLYMER WELL BORE PLACEMENT AND SEALING
A method of producing a material. The material is produced by the steps of: providing a geopolymer mixture or solution comprising an aluminosilicate and an alkali material; allowing the geopolymer mixture or solution to partially set to form an at least partially set geopolymer including pore spaces; and exposing the at least partially set geopolymer to a metal silicate solution or mixture containing a metal silicate to allow the metal silicate to enter the pore spaces and react to form additional material within the pore spaces. The material may be used in well-cementing and as an abandonment plug.
Thru-tubing retrievable subsurface completion system
Hydraulic port collar
A hydraulic port collar includes a housing having one or more housing ports. The hydraulic port collar includes a port collar bore disposed within the housing forming an inner surface of the housing. The hydraulic port collar includes a sliding sleeve disposed within the port collar bore. The sliding sleeve has a sliding sleeve inner surface and a sliding sleeve outer surface. The hydraulic port collar includes a dissolvable or fragmentable landing seat radially aligned with and abutting the sliding sleeve inner surface.
Thru-Tubing Subsurface Completion Unit Employing Detachable Anchoring Seals
Provided are thru-tubing completion systems and methods that employ a detachable sub-surface completion unit (SCU) anchoring seal that provides a seal between a SCU body and a wall of a wellbore of a well. The detachable SCU anchoring seal can be positioned in an un-deployed position that enables the detachable SCU anchoring seal to pass through production tubing disposed in the wellbore and in a deployed position that provides the seal. The detachable SCU anchoring seal is releasably coupled to the SCU body and has an internal passage having an internal diameter that is equal to or greater than an external diameter of the SCU body such that the detachable SCU anchoring seal can be deployed in the wellbore and decoupled from the SCU body to enable the SCU body to be moved through the internal passage of the SCU anchoring seal while deployed in the wellbore.
