WELLBORE INJECTION SYSTEM
20180030820 · 2018-02-01 ·

A wellbore injection system comprises a tubing hanger mountable within a wellbore tubular, an injection conduit supported by the tubing hanger to extend into the wellbore tubular, and an injection valve mountable within the wellbore tubular and arranged in fluid communication with the injection conduit. The injection valve is removable from the wellbore tubular independently of the tubing hanger and injection conduit.

Valve system

A valve system for use in a wellbore includes a side pocket mandrel and one or more well tools, where the side pocket mandrel includes an elongated body section provided with a connector at its ends, the elongated body section being provided with a substantially fully open main bore for alignment with the well tubing and an offset side pocket bore. At least one through opening is provided in the side pocket mandrel, leading into the side pocket bore, and at least one through opening is provided in the internal wall, leading into the main bore, where the at least two openings are in fluid communication through the side pocket bore, in which side pocket bore at least two valves are arranged in series to form a double fluid barrier between the main bore and an outside of the pocket mandrel, the at least two valves being independently retrievable through at least one installation opening arranged in the internal wall of the side pocket mandrel.

Deep-Set Insert Valve Using Magnetic Coupling

A downhole system may include an insert frame securable within a central bore of a tubing retrievable safety valve that has driver magnet configured to project a magnetic field and move axially along a control line in the tubing retrievable safety valve. The downhole system may include an insert flapper connected to the insert frame and configured to actuate between an open position and a closed position to control fluid flow through the central bore. The downhole system may include an insert flow tube configured to move along the central bore to drive the insert flapper between the closed position and the open position. Further, the downhole system may include a follower magnet secured to the insert flow tube and magnetically engaged with the driver magnet. The follower magnet is configured to move in response to movement of the driver magnet to drive movement of the insert flow tube.

CONTINGENCY SEALING OPTION FOR SURFACE CONTROLLED FLOW CONTROL DEVICE

A contingency valve provides redundancy to a surface controlled flow control valve for blocking flow into production tubing from a surrounding annulus when the surface controlled flow control valve is not operational. The surface controlled flow control valve and the contingency valve are disposed in an eccentric portion of the production tubing, and include valve members that are selectively disposed in a path of the flow within a sidewall of the production tubing. Valve members in the contingency valve are urged into the flow path by pressurizing hydraulic fluid downhole or by using a shifting tool. The types of surface controlled flow control valves include an inflow control device, an inflow control valve, and a gas lift valve.
