Device and Method for Processing a Surface
The invention relates to a device for processing a hard surfacing, the device comprising a rotatable hammering unit configured to process the hard surfacing under the hammering unit with hammers, the hammering unit comprising a substantially flat first and second disc with a number of hammer wheels on the underside of the second disc, wherein the coupling between the first and second disc is formed by one or more vibration-damping coupling elements. The invention also relates to a method for processing a hard surfacing with a vehicle provided with the device described herein.
Grinder head
A grinder head for high pressure mobile cleaning of roadways. The grinder head combines a rotating spinner member having polycrystalline diamond cutting tips which work in combination with ultra-high pressurized fluid for removing roadway stripes and the like matters from a roadway with damaging the underlying surface. The cutting tips having a polycrystalline diamond cutting material and are positioned along an outer rim of the spinner member in either a single or staggered position.
WORK MACHINE
A work machine that smooths a road surface by rotating a blade contacting the road surface, the work machine comprises: a motor that rotates the blade; and a fan that cools the motor and is provided between the motor and the blade.
Surface Treatment Apparatus
A surface treatment apparatus in the form of an attachment for use with mobile hydraulic equipment which incorporates one or more grinding head. The apparatus incorporates components such as a gimbal and a linkage which further enhance the ability of the grinding head to achieve uniform surface treatment results on uneven surfaces. The linkage may also serve as a lever to prop up the weight of the apparatus on the surface and thereby allowing personnel safe and convenient access to service abrasive tooling bits on the underside of the grinding head. The purpose of such an apparatus is to achieve greater productivity without sacrificing quality of surface treatment finished results when treating a surface.
Boring and milling machine for paved slabs
A machine for boring holes into a slab includes a plurality of milling bits mounted on a distal end of a rotatable carrier and a coring bit slidably connected to the carrier such that the coring bit rotates with the rotating carrier and is slidable axially relative to the carrier. The coring bit cuts a relatively smooth bore into the solid medium whereas the milling bits create a bore with a relatively rough finish. An actuator engages the coring bit to adjust the depth of cut of the coring bit relative to the milling assembly depending on the desired finish of the hole to be bored. An undercut assembly is mounted on the carrier and selectively operable to form an undercut in the slab at the bottom of the hole so that a cured patch of material poured into the hole is restrained from working loose from the hole.
Methods, compositions and systems for enhancing the useful life of a transportation surface
Methods, compositions and systems for prolonging the lives of transportation surfaces, including pavement, runways, bridges and parking structures include physically altering the transportation surface and chemically protecting the transportation surfaces. Physical alteration of a transportation surface may include physically altering one or both of a microtexture and a macrotexture of the transportation surface. Chemical protection of a transportation surface may include hardening and/or densifying the transportation surface. The transportation surface may be chemically protected while physically altering the transportation surface or after the transportation surface has been physically altered.
Device and method for processing a surface
Device and corresponding method for processing a hard surfacing. The device comprises a frame to be mounted to a vehicle, a support coupled to the frame, for carrying at least a first rotary processing unit for processing the hard surfacing, and wherein each rotary processing unit comprises a drive motor with a drive shaft, for rotating the rotary processing unit relative to the support; a substantially flat first disc comprising a plurality of processing heads for processing the hard surfacing; a substantially flat second disc coupled via vibration-damping coupling elements to the first disc and extending parallel to the first disc; a substantially flat third disc coupled via one or more deformation-reducing coupling elements to the second disc and extending parallel to the second disc, wherein the first, second and third discs form a stack of discs that is rotatable relative to the support.
Work machine
A work machine that smooths a road surface by rotating a blade contacting the road surface, the work machine comprises: a motor that rotates the blade; and a fan that cools the motor and is provided between the motor and the blade.
