In an embodiment, the AED system includes at least two cardiac pads in electrical connection with the shock generating electronics and including a medication delivery mechanism configured for delivering a predetermined dose of a medication to a patient when the cardiac pads are placed on the patient for shock delivery.
Sweat pad and methods of using same
The present disclosure provides devices for preventing or absorbing fluid (e.g., sweat) and/or odors from the intergluteal cleft of a subject. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides devices for treating or preventing hemorrhoids and methods of using same.
APPLICATOR FOR COLORING ANTISEPTIC
Applicators and a method of coloring antiseptics are provided. More specifically, in one embodiment, an applicator having a flexible hollow body containing antiseptic to be applied is provided. The applicator also has a porous element containing colorant positioned such that the antiseptic flows through the porous element containing colorant. Colorant is transferred to the antiseptic as it flows through the porous element. The resulting colored solution may be applied to the desired surface, wherein it may achieve improved visualization across various tones of surfaces.
Antiseptic delivery device and method of use
A fluid delivery device and method is provided, comprising a handle, a plate, a foam applicator coupled to a bottom surface of the plate and impregnated with an antiseptic solution. A lid member protects the foam applicator from an external environment and defines at least one aperture therein, wherein the lid member is coupled to the plate to form a breakable seal between the plate and the lid member. A tray member, having a bottom surface and at least one sidewall to define a volume therein, contains the foam applicator. The foam applicator is hermetically sealed from the external environment by the lid member, plate and tray member. The lid member is detachable from both the plate and the tray to release the foam applicator from the fluid delivery device and is in a ready-to-use condition without further activation.
Hand-held applicator
A hand-held applicator includes a first applicator layer adjacent a first reservoir and a finger-receiving space for holding the applicator. When the first applicator layer is external facing, the fill material is dispensed outside the applicator and when the first applicator layer faces into the finger receiving space the fill material is dispensed into the finger-receiving space and applied to the finger or fingers in the finger-receiving space. The applicator may further include a second applicator layer adjacent a second reservoir and opposite the first applicator layer and first reservoir to securely store and dispense a second amount of the fill material. Reservoir access layers separate applicator layers and reservoirs, transform between a first, closed position where the fill material is securely stored in a reservoir and a second, open position where fill material is dispensed from a reservoir through an applicator layer.
CONTAINER FEATURES FOR SURGICAL INSTRUMENT LUBRICANT
An apparatus includes an external body, a floor attached to the external body, an applicator pad, and a cover. The external body defines an internal cavity and extends between a bottom and top end. The applicator pad extends from the floor into the internal cavity defined by the external body. The applicator pad has an absorbent material that can absorb an electro-lubricant. The applicator pad is dimensioned to be grasped by a pair of jaws of a surgical instrument. The cover is associated with the top end of the external body and partially defines the internal cavity of the external body. The cover allows the pair of jaws to enter the internal cavity via the cover to grasp the applicator pad.
FLOW DISTRIBUTION PAD AND METHODS FOR USING THEM
Apparatus and methods are provided for delivering fluids into a patient's body that includes a tubular member including a proximal end, a distal end sized for introduction into a patient's body, and a fluid delivery lumen extending between the proximal and distal ends; and a flexible pad on the distal end including a tissue contacting surface, a passage communicating with the fluid delivery lumen, and plurality of capillary channels in the tissue contact surface communicating with the passage, the capillary channels configured to deliver fluid from the fluid delivery lumen and passage to tissue contacted by the tissue contact surface.
Devices and methods for treating the skin
According to some embodiments, a skin treatment assembly comprises a handpiece comprising a distal end, the handpiece comprising a recess or cavity configured to receive a cartridge or other fluid container, a tip configured to be positioned along the distal end of the handpiece, the tip being configured to contact a skin surface of a subject during use, and at least one rollerball configured to extend to or near the tip, wherein the rollerball is configured to be in fluid communication with an interior of a cartridge or other fluid container secured to the handpiece, wherein the at least one rollerball is configured to contact the skin surface of the subject during use and to facilitate the delivery of fluids to said skin surface as the rollerball is moved relative to said skin surface.
DISINFECTION DEVICE AND PROTECTIVE SLEEVE COMPRISING A DISINFECTION DEVICE
A disinfection device (la) for applying a disinfectant to at least one fingertip (F) of a user comprises a housing (6; 6a, 6b) with a recess (4) accessible from the outside through an opening (3), into which recess the fingertip can be inserted, a spray unit (8) inside the housing, and a container (7) for disinfectant fluidly connected to the spray unit. The spray unit comprises a spray head (2) which projects into the recess and a valve device (9a) which is fluid-connected to the spray head and is designed in such a way that, when the spray head is actuated by means of the fingertip, it releases disinfectant from the container as an aerosol into the recess so that the aerosol can wet the fingertip.
WOUND THERAPY SYSTEM WITH INTERNAL ALTERNATING ORIFICE
A wound therapy system includes a dressing sealable over a wound and defining a wound space between the dressing and the wound, tubing fluidly communicable with the wound space, and a canister fluidly communicable with the tubing. The canister, the tubing, and the dressing define a sealed space that includes the wound space. The wound therapy system also includes a therapy unit coupled to the canister. The therapy unit includes a sensor configured to measure a pressure in the sealed space, a valve positioned between the sealed space and a surrounding environment and controllable between an open position and a closed position, and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to control the valve to alternate between the open position and the closed position to allow airflow through the valve, receive measurements from the sensor, and determine a volume of the wound space based on the measurements.
