Apparatus and methods for spraying a cosmetic composition
A hand-held apparatus for the application of a sunless tanning composition to the skin of a user. The apparatus includes: a housing, the housing enclosing: an air mover, a nozzle, and a reservoir. The reservoir and nozzle are in operable gaseous connection with the air mover such that in use, a composition in the reservoir is expelled through the nozzle to form a spray. The apparatus is useful in methods for spraying a tanning composition onto the skin of an individual.
System and method for applying a reflectance modifying agent to improve the visual attractiveness of human skin
A computer-controlled system determines attributes of a frexel, an area of human skin, and applies a modifying agent (RMA) at the pixel level, typically to make the skin appear more youthful and so more attractive. The system scans the frexel, identifies unattractive attributes, and applies the RMA, typically with an inkjet printer. The identified attributes relate to reflectance and may refer to features such as irregular-looking light and dark spots, age-spots, scars, and bruises. Identified attributes may also relate to the surface topology of the skin, for more precisely enhancing surface irregularities such as bumps and wrinkles. Feature mapping may be used, for example to make cheeks appear pinker and cheekbones more prominent. The RMA can be applied in agreement with identified patterns, such as adding red to a red frexel, or in opposition, such as adding green or blue to a red frexel, according to idealized models of attractiveness.
Systems, methods, and devices for delivering treatment to a skin surface
Systems, methods, and devices are described for delivering treatment to a skin surface of an individual based on a microbe profile, which include a skin-treatment delivery device including at least one treatment agent reservoir with at least one port with a controllable valve, at least one conduit, a location-capture component, a data storage component to store information associated with the microbe profile, and a computing component including a processor and circuitry to receive information associated with a measured feature of a location on the skin surface, correlate the received information associated with the measured feature of the location on the skin surface with the stored information associated with the microbe profile, select one or more treatment agents for application to the location on the skin surface from a database of treatment agents, and actuate the controllable valve of the at least one treatment agent reservoir to modulate release of the selected one or more treatment agents.
Booth for application of tanning fluids
A booth for application of tanning fluid according to one disclosed non-limiting embodiment of the present disclosure includes a semi-cylindrical enclosure which comprises a floor and a curved wall; a vent system in the curved wall; and a multiple of fans to collect tanning fluid overspray through the vent system, the multiple of fans arranged transverse to the vent system.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR APPLYING A PRODUCT TO SKIN
An apparatus for applying product to the skin of a person in a booth, comprising: an applicator configured to apply the product to the person; a first guide configured to guide movement of an applicator in a first dimension, in order to enable the applicator to apply the product to the person at a plurality of different heights; and a second guide configured to guide movement of the applicator in a second dimension, in order to enable the applicator to apply the product across the width of the person. The apparatus may comprise control circuitry for controlling the applicator in dependence upon the weight of the person.
Apparatus and method of applying sunscreen or similar liquid
A central body or device adapted to take payment in a variety of means and dispense sunscreen, insect repellant, hand sanitizers, or similar lotions, gels, or liquids. The sunscreen (or similar lotion, gel or liquid) may be dispensed in foil packets, plastic bladders, gel packs, or similar containers, or may be dispensed directly, such as through a spray attachment. The device may be unpowered, or powered by a battery, solar panel, or electrical power supply. The device may accept payment in a variety of forms: coins, bills, credit or debit cards, a hotel or resort access or room card, or the like. It may be mounted on a wall or vertical flat surface, or mounted on a pole or stand.
Method and device for generating a nanoaerosol
The invention relates to a method and a device for generating a nanoaerosol, wherein at least one fluid to be atomized is atomized in a nozzle via a nozzle opening of the nozzle along a discharge direction in the form of fluid particles, the atomized fluid particles are deflected from the discharge direction and larger fluid particles are at least partially separated from smaller fluid particles, the separated larger fluid particles are returned to the fluid to be atomized and the smaller fluid particles are dispensed onto the environment. A cartridge in which the nozzle and the fluid to be atomized are arranged is used. According to the invention, a stream of a carrier gas is generated in the nozzle and at least one fluid to be atomized is brought into contact with the carrier gas.
A FLUID APPLICATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD
A hand applicator system (100) for spraying a human or animal body (10), the system comprising: a hand applicator (110); and a travel speed indicator (120) which indicates the optimum travel speed of the hand applicator over a region of the body, wherein the travel speed indicator emits a signal to an operator of the hand applicator, the signal varying during a spraying procedure and being indicative of the appropriate instantaneous travel speed of the hand applicator over the region of the body adjacent the hand applicator at any time.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADAPTIVE CHARGED SPRAY DEPOSITION AND FEEDBACK
A system and method are provided to provide greater consistency and customization of results in charged spray implementations through improved feedback from and control of the electronic characteristics of the charging power supply. The system and method, in at least one form, use multiple levels of feedback and provide adjustments to react to the spray process.
