The second ink storage cavity is in fluid communication with a needle receiving passage of the tube portion and at least a portion of the sidewall is flexible so that upon application of a compressive force on the flexible portion of the grip portion, a volume of ink is transferable from the second ink storage cavity, into the needle receiving passage, and into the first ink storage cavity.

A cylindrical body retains a felt tip movable between a retracted position within the body and an extended position outside the body for marking the tissue. A gas source has a manual valve to selectably dispensing a drying gas onto the tissue. In a preferred embodiment, an interlock prevents dispensing of drying gas when the tip is in the extended position and prevents the tip moving to the extended position when the manual valve is dispensing the drying gas.

The needle bundle comprise one or more needles longitudinally reciprocally movable in the channel and being biased against the guide surface, or towards the inner surface, across the grooves such that, during longitudinal reciprocal movement of the needle bundle, the needle bundle maintains contact with the guide surface and the liquid stored in the grooves, or maintains a capillary gap between the needle bundle and the inner surface, for drawing the liquid out of the grooves by capillary action.

Disclosed herein are transdermal microneedling devices that generate and emit low RF energy. The drive shaft may comprise a linkage member configured to engage the drive linkage of the drive motor, and be configured to be driven by the drive motor and thereby drive movement of the needle unit such that the at least one needle extends beyond and retracts within the distal end of the needle cartridge. The microneedling device may also include RF energy circuitry powered by the power source and configured to generate RF energy, as well as transfer circuitry configured to transfer the generated RF energy from the RF energy circuitry to the at least one needle.
