The multilayer thermal insulation board includes a high density polyurethane layer having a first density from 100 kg/m.sup.3 to 2000 kg/mm.sup.3 according to ASTM D 1622 and a rigid polyurethane foam having a second density of less than 100 kg/m.sup.3 according to ASTM D 1622.
PROCESS FOR ASSEMBLING A UNITIZED PANEL FOR USE WITHIN AN EXTERIOR DYNAMIC CURTAIN WALL ASSEMBLY
Described is an approved dynamic construction for effectively thermally insulating and sealing of a safing slot between a floor of a building and an exterior wall construction wherein the exterior wall construction comprises a curtain wall configuration defined by an interior wall glass surface including one or more aluminum framing members. In particular, a process for assembling a unitized panel for use within an exterior dynamic curtain wall assembly, which includes glass, especially vision glass extending to the finished floor level below, is described as well as a unitized panel assembled according to said process and its installation to improve fire stopping at the safing slot.
Insulated Panel Unit for Building Enveloppe
An insulated panel unit for connecting with structural elements of a building to at least partially form an envelope of said building is provided. The insulated panel unit includes a front panel adapted to cooperate with the structural elements of the building for positioning and connecting the panel unit in relation therewith, and at least one member having insulating properties secured to the front panel. A building envelope comprising panel units mounted on structural elements of a corresponding building is also provided.
ADHESIVE TAPE FOR HOME INSULATION AND SELF-ADHESIVE THERMAL INSULATION PRODUCT
A self-adhesive thermal insulation product is provided. The self-adhesive thermal insulation product includes a fibrous polymeric backing, an adhesive layer, an insulation batt attached to the central adhesive portion, and a release layer. An adhesive tape for home insulation is also provided. The adhesive tape for home insulation includes a fibrous polymeric backing, an adhesive layer on a front surface of the fibrous polymeric backing, and a release layer. An adhesive seal is also provided.
Process for assembling a unitized panel for use within an exterior dynamic curtain wall assembly
An approved dynamic construction is used for effectively thermally insulating and sealing of a safing slot between a floor of a building and an exterior wall construction, wherein the exterior wall construction includes a curtain wall configuration defined by an interior wall glass surface, including one or more aluminum framing members. In particular, a process for assembling a unitized panel for use within an exterior dynamic curtain wall assembly, which includes glass, especially vision glass extending to the finished floor level below, is described as well as a unitized panel assembled according to said process and its installation to improve fire stopping at the safing slot.
Dynamic, fire-resistance-rated thermally insulating and sealing system having a F-rating of 120 min for use with curtain wall structures
Described is an approved dynamic construction for effectively thermally insulating and sealing of a safing slot between a floor of a building and an exterior wall construction wherein the exterior wall construction comprises a curtain wall configuration defined by an interior wall glass surface including one or more aluminum framing members, wherein the vision glass extends to the finished floor level below. The dynamic, thermally insulating and sealing system comprises a first element for receiving the insulating elements and positioned in the zero spandrel area of a glass curtain wall construction including only vision glass to maintain thermally insulating and sealing of the safing slot during exposure to fire and heat as well as movement in order to maintain a complete seal extending across the safing slot.
MINERAL WOOL INSULATION BOARD SYSTEM WITH MECHANICAL FASTENERS AND REINFORCING MESH
A method of constructing an exterior insulated wall is provided. The method includes: erecting a wall structure of vertical studs and sheathing mounted to the studs; applying a moisture barrier layer and an adhesive layer; mounting a rear surface of a mineral wool insulation board to the adhesive layer, the rear surface having vertically extending drainage grooves, a front surface of the insulation board having a reinforcing mesh adhered thereto; securing the mineral wool insulation board to the studs with corrosion resistant screws and washers; and applying a weather resistant coating on the reinforcing mesh and washers. The mineral wool insulation board includes mechanically entangled non-woven hydrophobic fibers spaced apart by air voids to define a compressible fibrous mass. The washers and screws exert pressure on a compressed zone of the compressible fibrous mass which reduces moisture permeability, increases volume percentage of fibers, and lowers volume percentage of air voids.
