NP-EIFS non-permissive exterior insulation and finish systems concept technology and details
A new concept wall system is provided, wherein the Exterior Insulation and Finish System cladding is created using components with no water absorption, a very low vapor permeability and sealing properties, accommodated with an installation technology which extend the materials properties to the assembly, together with bonding and sealing the intersections and terminations, creating a Non-Permissive to water and vapor diffusion, Exterior Insulation and Finish System (NP-EIFS). The present invention relates to an EIFS cladding having two air and vapor barriers, one applied to the substrate, a continuous liquid membrane with sheathing joints sealed to be moisture barrier for inside vapors, and an exterior weather and vapor barrier which is created using closed cell extruded polystyrene insulation boards, special assembled with joints sealed, to create a non-permissive insulation envelope of the enclosure. Another object of the invention is to provide waterproof and air/vapor-proof details, a new concept of flashing and sealant application around windows/doors and other constructive elements to avoid thermal bridges and air leakage inside thermal envelope and wall assembly. Methods of installation are included.
Window frame insulation method for constructing warm house
A window frame insulation method for constructing a warm house of the present invention, provided in order to achieve the above objective, comprises: a placement preparation step (S10) for opening a portion of a wall body so as to insert a window frame before the wall body is formed, and forming a mold so as to form a stepped portion on the outer side of the wall body; a placement step (S20) for placing concrete so as to form the wall body within the mold; a preservation step (S30) for conservation of the concrete formed within the mold in order to prevent harmful effects; a window frame installment step (S40) for installing a window frame on the inner side of the opened wall body; an insulation material installment step (S50) for installing insulation material in the wall body except for the window frame; and a finishing material installment step (S60) for installing finishing material on the outer side of an outer insulation material.
EXTERIOR INSULATING PANEL AND SYSTEM
An exterior insulating system for a building includes at least one insulating panel having a wall-facing side and an outward-facing side, a top and a bottom, the at least one insulating panel having a slope at the top that angles downwardly from the wall-facing side to the outward-facing side; at least one elongated clip member fastenable along a soffit that is extending outwards from a wall of the building; and at least one auxiliary panel having a first edge that is dimensioned to be received by the at least one elongated clip member opposite a main body of the at least one auxiliary panel from a second edge of the at least one auxiliary panel that is connectable to the at least one insulating panel, the main body incorporating structure for permitting airflow through the main body.
Systems and panels for customized retrofit of a building exterior
Methods, systems, and panels for retrofitting an existing exterior of a building. In one example, the method may include: (a) obtaining data about an exterior geometry of the existing exterior; (b) using the obtained data, defining a custom retrofit panel system for the exterior geometry; and (c) constructing the custom retrofit panel system including a plurality of panels, in which constructing a panel includes: (i) forming a panel frame by additive manufacturing, the panel frame defining interstitial spaces; (ii) at least partially filling the interstitial spaces with at least one filler; and (iii) in which the constructed panel includes a building facing surface configured to mate with the exterior geometry of the existing exterior.
Insulation member
A roof window comprising an insulation member for sealing a gap between at least part of a roof window frame and at least part of a frame of an aperture in a support structure for receiving the roof window frame. The insulation member having a first out of use configuration and a second in use insulating configuration and an arrangement for activating the insulation member between the out of use configuration and the in use insulating configuration.
Insulating Panel for Stucco Exterior
An exterior wall cladding system for application to an exterior wall surface comprises a sealed and laminated waterproof wrap applied to the exterior wall surface, a fully-sealed insulating panel without a drainage plane disposed over the sealed and laminated waterproof wrap. The cladding system and method provide a waterproof wall structure for a multi-layer stucco coating applied over the insulating panel. Sealing materials are applied to all openings through and edges of the wall structure.
Exterior wall cladding system for buildings
An exterior wall cladding system for application to an exterior wall surface comprises a sealed and laminated waterproof wrap applied to the exterior wall surface, a fully-sealed insulating panel without a drainage plane disposed over the sealed and laminated waterproof wrap, and a multi-layer stucco coating applied over the insulating panel. Sealing materials are applied to all openings through and edges of the wall structure.
Thermal break for use in construction
The present disclosure relates to a thermal break for use in tilt-up construction. The thermal break generally comprises an elongate body comprising a thermal insulating material. The thermal break may further comprise one or more protrusions extending away from the elongate body. The present disclosure further relates to a method of constructing an exterior wall comprising the thermal break positioned between a fascia wythe and a structural wythe of the exterior wall. The exterior wall may be tilted up to a vertical position during construction of a building, and the thermal break provides a fixture-mounting surface onto which a fixture, for example a door frame, window frame, air venting grill, or other building component can be mounted.
Support and insulation element for supporting and insulating a window frame
The support and insulation element for supporting and insulating a window frame has a support part and an insulating part. The support part has a first leg comprising a first side surface, a second leg, which projects from the first leg, and a third leg, which projects from the first leg a certain distance away from the second leg. The support part is made of load-bearing material. The insulating part is arranged at least on the side of the first leg of the support part opposite the first side surface and is made of compacted mineral wool or a rigid foam. The insulating part comprises two slots, into which the second leg and the third leg of the support part are inserted. The insulating part surrounds three sides of both the second leg and the third leg of the support part.
THERMAL BREAK FOR USE IN CONSTRUCTION
