Sound absorbing structure having one or more acoustic scatterers attached to a transparent panel
A sound absorbing structure includes a panel having a first side and a second side and at least one acoustic scatterer coupled to a first side of the panel. The panel may be at least partially transparent. The at least one acoustic scatterer has an opening and at least one channel. The at least one channel has a channel open end and a channel terminal end with the channel open end being in fluid communication with the opening. The panel may be utilized to separate an interior space from an exterior space.
SMART DYNAMIC ACOUSTIC CEILING PANEL
A dynamic acoustic system for use in connection with an indoor environment includes a plurality of elongated acoustic bars and a controller operably to each of the elongated acoustic bars. Each of the bars is operably coupled to a ceiling member of the indoor environment and includes an upper portion, a lower portion, a plurality of side surfaces extending between the upper and lower portions, an interior region at least partially defined by the upper portion, the lower portion, and the plurality of side surfaces, and at least one movable element movable between first and second positions. The controller selectively controls operation of the at least one movable element of a desired number of the plurality of elongated acoustic bars to alter an environmental characteristic of the indoor environment.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN ACOUSTIC ABSORPTION STRUCTURE USING AT LEAST ONE CAUL PLATE, ACOUSTIC ABSORPTION STRUCTURE OBTAINED FROM SAID METHOD AND AIRCRAFT COMPRISING SAID ACOUSTIC ABSORPTION STRUCTURE
A method for manufacturing an acoustic absorption structure including an acoustically resistive layer, a cellular structure, a reflective layer and a plurality of acoustic elements positioned in cavities produced in the cellular structure. This method comprises steps of depositing fiber plies on a contact surface of the cellular structure, fitting a flexible jacket which covers a stack composed of the acoustically resistive layer, the cellular structure and the fiber plies, which is tightly linked with the deposition surface all around the stack, consolidating the fiber plies to form the reflective layer and the fixing thereof on the cellular structure, with a caul plate being inserted between the fiber plies and the flexible jacket during the consolidation step.
Enhanced acoustic cell and enhanced acoustic panel, and methods of producing the same
An enhanced acoustic cell for use in acoustic panels is provided. The provided enhanced acoustic cell has a parabolic-shaped cell floor and a receiving object suspended at its focal point. Components of the enhanced acoustic cell may be easily replicated and installed into a face sheet comprising an array of a plurality of interconnected acoustic cells. The provided acoustic cell, and arrays thereof, may be produced using an additive manufacturing (AM) technology.
Acoustic luminaires
A luminaire can include a power source housing that houses at least one light fixture component. The luminaire can also include a light engine tray disposed proximate to the power source housing. The luminaire further can include a first acoustic feature coupled to the power source housing and the light engine tray, where the first acoustic feature comprises a first side wall having a first configuration, where the first configuration of the first side wall absorbs sound.

Acoustic shell for stage performances
A method of erecting an acoustic shell for stage performances, the shell have frame defining a concave volume that is curved in two orthogonal planes and has an inner surface facing forwardly of a stage for a performance. A plurality of polygonal acoustic panels are positioned in the frame and spaced in rows and column along the inner surface, each panel having an outer acoustically active surface. The frame is formed of plural curved trusses each with a base for support on the stage and a peak. An oculus ring is connected to the peak of each arch and the bases of the arches are space along a bottom curve of the concave volume. The panels comprise plural adjacent blocks in rows and columns, each with a base and inner closed end, the length of each block being different for adjacent blocks.
Ceiling system and method of installation
A ceiling system is provided for use in a building space. The ceiling system has an open cell grid structure and is attached to a support structure of the building via hanging hardware. The open cell grid structure is constructed of a plurality of first panels attached to the hanging hardware, a plurality of second panels attached to the plurality of first panels, and a plurality of third panels attached to the plurality of second panels. The first, second, and third panels are attached via a plurality of slots which allow secure engagement and utilize gravity to retain them in the assembled condition. Beneficially, the plurality of second panels and the plurality of third panels are free of hanging hardware.
Sound insulation plate and sound insulation structure using the same
A sound insulation plate includes a patterned frame and an elastic membrane, wherein the patterned frame includes a central pattern region and multiple peripheral pattern regions arranged around the central pattern region, the multiple peripheral pattern regions being separated from the central pattern region by a separation bar, and wherein the elastic membrane is mounted on the patterned frame to block passage of air and converts airborne sound waves into elastic waves.
