Process for producing a recess in the base region of a wall construction, corresponding wall construction and system and construction element therefor
A process for producing a recess (“negative base”) in the base region of a wall construction in the drywall technique, preferably a wall construction with fire protection and/or sound insulation, wherein for the wall construction on a stud frame, using board-shaped construction elements, preferably construction elements containing gypsum and/or cement, a paneling is attached on both sides of the stud frame, and wherein at least one side of the stud frame is provided with a double-layer paneling, the outer paneling layer of which is recessed in order to produce the recess in the base region, a compensating insulant is introduced into the intermediate space between the panelings of the stud frame at least over the vertical height of the recess in the base region in order to compensate the weakening of the base region resulting from the recessed paneling.
PARTITION SUPPORT STRUCTURE MOUNTING TRACK
The track is elongate such that it extends along a longitudinal axis. The track comprises an alignment feature located at a predetermined alignment position along the longitudinal axis of the track. The alignment feature is configured to secure a partition support member at the alignment position when the partition support member is received by the track. The alignment feature comprises one of a projection or recess configured to engage with the other of a projection or recess of the partition support member.
Structural beam
The invention relates to a structural beam for use in a building, the structural beam comprising a first end, a second end and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween; at least two spaced apart wall members each wall member extending parallel with the longitudinal axis, abase member spanning between the at least two spaced apart wall members, wherein the base member and each wall member cooperate to form a trough for receiving cement, wherein each wall member includes: a first ledge extending outwardly away from the trough and; a second ledge extending outwardly away from the trough; wherein the first ledge and second ledge cooperate to form a channel dimensioned for receiving a part of an insulation member.
Cross-struts for beam assemblies
The present technology relates to beams having a cross section defining a plurality of channels and assemblies comprising the beams. The beams can be used to form a beam assembly that is installed inside the truck bed of a pick-up truck. A ladder loader and a solar panel assembly can be pivotably secured to the beam assembly along either the driver side wall or the passenger side wall of the truck bed.
Floor Panel System
The present invention provides a prefabricated floor panel system used in stay in place formwork for pouring concrete floors. The prefabricated floor panel system includes a top and has walls depending downwardly at an upper lateral edge of the wall from each outermost lateral edge of the top, a lower lateral edge of each wall having a ledge extending outwardly away from the top. A first ledge of one prefabricated floor panel system is capable of overlying another ledge of an adjacent prefabricated floor panel system to allow for the one prefabricated floor panel system to be joined to the adjacent prefabricated floor panel system to form a channel. The first ledge of the prefabricated floor panel system is provided with a reinforcing bar spaced away from the wall and the first ledge of the prefabricated floor panel system, the reinforcing bar being supported by a plurality of a reinforcing bar chairs spaced along the length of the prefabricated panel system, the reinforcing bar chairs being attached to the first ledge or wall such that there are no significant interfering structures projecting from a lower surface of the first ledge. The other ledge of the prefabricated floor panel system is free of interfering structures above the ledge to allow the first ledge of one prefabricated floor panel system to overlie the other ledge of an adjacent prefabricated floor panel system to allow for the one prefabricated floor panel system to be joined to the adjacent prefabricated floor panel system to form a channel.
Profiles
An elongate profile having a first portion and a second portion, the first and second portions being joined together at a first joining portion, the first and second portions being non collinear, the joining portion comprising an array of raised or rebated formations, each formation extending across the joining portion in a direction which is non-parallel to the principal axis of the profile and flat lands being provided between successive formations in an array and the pitch between successive formations in an array being from 2 to 20 times, for example from 5 to 15 times, the thickness of the flatlands.
SUPPORT WALL FRAME SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED USE THEREOF
A support wall frame system includes at least one end track, and a frame member received within the at least one end track. Such a frame member has a centrally registered longitudinal axis and includes at least one rib extended parallel to the centrally registered longitudinal axis. Advantageously, the at least one rib is statically affixed to the at least one end track. The at least one track includes at least one detent spaced from each shoulder of the track to allow bending the at least one track from a single and unitary sheet of metal. The at least one rib is interfitted within the at least one track.
TUB GIRDERS AND RELATED MANUFACTURING METHODS
Improved tub girders and related manufacturing methods are provided, such as for example for use in road construction in connection with concrete bridges. Disclosed improved tub girders may include upper flanges that extending inwardly or outwardly. Disclosed improved tub girders may be provided with camber along the length of the girders. Ends of the disclosed improved tub girders may be provided with diaphragms. Disclosed improved tub girders may include a base section including one more access ports for enabling inspection of the interior of the girders after installation. Disclosed improved tub girders may include a plurality of stud members extending upwardly from upper flanges for engaging with a concrete bridge deck. Disclosed tub girders may be providing with a coating, such as galvanized, aluminized or metalized, to fight corrosion and extend life and limit need for inspection.
ADJUSTABLE HEADER
An adjustable header assembly includes a first piece of material and a second piece of material and at least one bracket. The first piece of material has a fixed length and the second piece of material has an adjustable length. In operation, the length of the second piece of material is adjusted until the second piece of material is proximate wall studs. The second piece of material is then coupled to the studs and the at least one bracket is coupled to the first and second pieces of material.
TWO-PIECE TRACK SYSTEM
A fire-rated receiver channel includes at least one intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The receiver channel can nest with a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. In other arrangements, a track assembly includes two nested tracks, an inner track and outer track. The assembly is designed so that the outside width of the outer track is equal to or less than the outside width of the inner track to present a substantially flush external surface for attachment of exterior sheathing elements when the assembly is used in an external wall.
