An apparatus and method for precision forming a precast concrete flight of stairs is disclosed and where precision cut form components provide plural tread supports, plural sideboards, plural tread/riser combinations and a center tread support that upon assembly, the form components, automatically square and align treads and risers with upper and lower landings for installation to provide access between vertically spaced apart floors of a structure.

A building system comprising a combination of precast or prefabricated structural elements to serve as skate parks, swimming pools, or community gathering places; and to provide refuge such as tornado shelters. Precast or pre-manufactured modular cells have an open bottom, a first and second side wall, a rear wall, and a functional top surface. The functional top surfaces of the modules include an inclined or curved surface. When combined, the top surfaces form useful areas such as a skate park, swimming pool, or amphitheater seating. Sleeves, keys, and other features facilitate the assembly of the modules. A cast slab may be poured after assembly; or the modules may be secured to a slab. Example modules include a Flat Ramp Block, a Circular Ramp Block, and a Circular Bowl Block, a stair block, and a ledge block.

The present invention provides a stair edging component or nosing assembly comprising a plurality of elongate inserts, each insert comprising a main body portion having a tread surface and a coupling interface to couple the insert to the stair, and an opening extending through the length thereof, a locating spacer located between each pair of inserts, and a tensioning means extending through the opening in each insert and along the length of the stair edging component.

A stair tread pan includes a plurality of stair risers, each of the plurality of stair risers comprising a uniform depth and width, whereby the stair tread pan consistently satisfies code requirements. The stair tread pan further comprising predetermined assembly tolerances are less than approximately inch for drainage of the stair tread pan in an exterior use. The stair tread pan comprises at least one tread nosing formed into the stair tread pan for yielding a uniform for reliable and durable tread nosing. The stair tread pan further comprising a poor stop at a top end of the stair tread pan for receiving poured concrete, thereby illuminating the need for tea-bars or other concrete containing structures for forming a top landing on the stair tread pan. The the stair tread maybe read a leap replaced without disturbing the structured integrity outside stair tread pan in a building environment.

A building connection includes a first building element and a second building element arranged at a distance from each other. The first building element is connected to the second building element by at least one connecting device. The connecting device includes a load transfer element arranged in the first building element, and a support box molded into the second building element. The support box includes an inner bottom wall surface and a support box opening facing the first building element. The connecting device further includes a first sound-absorbing element arranged on the inner bottom wall surface of the support box, and a support plate which is arranged on top of the first sound-absorbing element. The load transfer element protrudes from the first building element and into the support box through the support box opening. A filling area is molded with a filling material. The filling area includes the support box and an area between the first building element and the second building element.

A pre-cast concrete stair tread is provided where the stair tread has reinforced corrugated metal embedded within the core of the concrete stair tread. The corrugations are lined up along the elongated direction of the stair tread. Concrete is poured and cured over at least one side of the corrugated metal. Additionally, the pre-cast concrete stair tread may have one or more metal straps fixed on the reinforced corrugated metal in a direction perpendicular to the corrugations and the elongated direction.

Provided relates to a precast-concrete stairway room construction method for constructing a stairway room with one coupling operation by manufacturing the stairway room to have a structure formed by vertically dividing the stairway room into left and right sides, wherein the construction method comprises: a mold preparing step (S10); a rebar arranging step (S20); a concrete placing and curing step (S30); a divided structure manufacturing step (S40); a structure attaching step (S50); and a structure bonding step (S60).

An earthquake-resistant building connection includes first and second structural elements lying a distance from each other, where the first element includes an outer side face that faces the second element. The first element includes at least one projecting member that projects from the outer side face of the first element into a cavity in the second element. The cavity is wider, higher and deeper than the member. The first element also includes an elastic component for absorbing forces and motions of an earthquake. The component has an outer surface that extends around the member and faces the second element, forming a fill area between the outer surface of the component and the second element and further between the member and the cavity. The fill area is filled such that forces and motions transferred between the first and second elements in the event of an earthquake are absorbed in the component.

Concrete filler is disposed in the cavity to provide an upper walking surface. Reinforcement bars and foam blocks can be positioned within the cavity. Concrete treads including the pan can then be transported to a job site for attachment between a pair of stringers.
