RUG MOUNTING SYSTEMS AND METHOD
A rug mounting system and method includes an elongate fastening driven into a flooring surface. The elongate fastener is coupled with a fastening area and a complementary fastener. The underside of the rug is fitted with a complementary fastening area and fastener. A flat item that includes the fastening area is affixed to the flooring surface, and the elongate fastener is applied to the flooring surface therethrough, thus exposing the lower end fasteners. The rug is then placed over both fastening types and mounted on the ground. One, or more, mounting systems may be used to secure a rug to the ground.
UNIVERSAL WRAPAROUND STEP COVER
A universal wraparound cover for a step includes opposed ends with equivalent number of multiple tabs and fasteners engaging the tabs through holes in the opposed ends to secure the cover to the step. Rear tabs include multiple reinforced attachment points, and the forward tabs include a single attachment point each. The wraparound cover can therefore be fitted over numerous side supported step types.
KIT OF PARTS FOR TRIMMING STEP EDGES
An apparatus for trimming step edges includes a nose piece for locating at an edge of a horizontal existing surface, a covering board for covering the horizontal existing surface, and a riser board for locating a top of the riser board at or adjacent the edge with the board in an upright orientation. The nose piece includes at its rear a recess for receiving a projecting tongue of the covering board, which cooperate to retain the covering board positioned against the existing surface. The apparatus additionally features a fastener projecting forwardly at a bottom of the tongue for mechanically coupling with a distinct locking recess in the nose piece. The apparatus also features a receptacle for placing at a rear of the covering board to receive another riser board, which conceals a gap between the rear edge of the covering board and an upright surface upstanding from the existing surface.
COVER FOR A STEP
A cover for a step may include a pad placed upon the underside of the cover. The cover may affix to the beck end of the step via one or more fasteners directed along damps rotatably mounted to a back end of the cover. A catch may be employed which is permanently mounted to the back end of the step to catch an end of the cover. The catch may include a hinged cover to allow for temporary emplacement of the cover and may include a recess to capture a rod and a hinged cover to securing the rod. Temporary hook-and-loop fastener strip may be used to affix the front end of the cover over the step.
The nose piece includes at its rear a recess spaced from a top of the nose piece that receives a projecting tongue of the covering board. These cooperate to retain the covering board positioned against the existing surface. The apparatus also features a receptacle receiving another riser board in a position upstanding from the existing surface. The receptacle is locatable at a rear of the covering board in spaced relation to the nose piece so as to conceal a gap between the rear edge of the covering board and an upright surface upstanding from the existing surface.
Stair tread overlay and method of manufacturing the same
A stair tread overlay for a staircase includes a generally planar stair tread having an upper surface, a bottom surface, and a rounded nosing extending from an end surface thereof; and a scotia element joined to the stair tread, the scotia element including a front contoured surface and a planar back side surface, wherein the bottom surface of the stair tread includes one of a tongue or groove and an upper surface of the scotia element includes the other of a tongue or groove and the tongue and groove of the tread and the scotia element are secured together to form a joint to thereby connect the scotia element to the tread.
Method for manufacturing a folded panel, and a folded panel
A method for manufacturing a folded panel including the following steps: providing a longitudinal recess at the rear side, such that at the front side between remaining panel sections on both sides of the recess a flexible transition section remains, bending the panel sections relative to each other and applying an adhesive in the recess. Before the panel sections are bent relative to each other, a template is inserted into the recess.
Kit of parts for trimming step edges
An apparatus for trimming step edges includes an elongate member forming a nose piece for mounting at an edge of a horizontal existing surface. The member comprises a rear surface, a front face, a top surface extending therebetween, and a groove in the front face of the member. The groove has first and second side walls extending from first and second side edges at the front face and leading to a base recessed therefrom. The member is supported by screws received in the groove in a mounted position wherein the top surface of the member is spaced above the existing surface so that a thickness of a covering material, which disposed on the existing surface for covering same, is located between the top surface and the existing surface. Also, a lighting element is inserted in the groove for illuminating an area adjacent the edge of the existing surface.
Deck preservation system
A deck preservation system includes an elongated one-piece deck board cap top cover for a deck board, adapted for a secure coupling to a top surface of the deck board to cover the top surface; a first cap side, with at least one first fin, integrally formed with the top cover and extended downwardly and adapted for a secure coupling to a board side of the deck board; a second cap side, with at least one second fin, integrally formed with the top cover and extended downwardly and adapted for a secure coupling to a board side of the deck board; wherein the first cap side and the second cap side are opposed to one another; and an inverted channel profile integrally formed and defined by the deck board top cover and first and second cap sides to cover and protect the deck board.
