METHOD FOR ATTACHING MOUNTED PARTS TO CONCRETE OR MASONRY
20230358063 · 2023-11-09 ·

A method is defined for attaching mounted parts on a mounting substrate, formed of concrete or masonry, having a group of anchors, wherein the following is true for the ratio VSd/NSd of the rated value for the transverse load VSd and of the rated value of the tensile load NSd of at least one anchor in the anchor group: VSd/NSd≥0.3, preferably VSd/NSd≥0.6 and particularly preferably VSd/NSd≥1.0, and wherein the characteristic resistances of these anchors to transverse loading VRk or to tensile loading NRk satisfy the following relationship: VRk/NRk≤1.1. The at least one anchor of the anchor group is inclined at an angle αAnker to the perpendicular to the surface of the mounting substrate in such a manner that the following is true: αAnker=k*¾*arctan (VSd/NSd) for NSd>0, and αAnker=k*67.5° for NSd=0, where: 0.8≤k≤1.34, providing that αAnker≤75°.

ANCHOR BOLT PLACEMENT TOOL AND METHOD OF USING SAME
20230349179 · 2023-11-02 ·

An anchor bolt alignment tool provides for accurate placement and alignment of an anchor bolt in a substrate in multiple axes and dimensions simultaneously. The anchor bolt alignment tool has a base that may be formed as a flat plate having a top surface and a bottom surface, with the bottom surface arranged for placement and alignment with a surface of a substrate. A lateral alignment guide is oriented orthogonal to the bottom surface in each of a vertical and a longitudinal axis of the base. A vertical alignment guide is oriented orthogonal to the top surface of the base in each of a vertical and a lateral axis of the base. An inboard edge of the vertical alignment guide and a notch in the base provide for alignment of an axial centerline of the anchor bolt at the desired lateral offset from the edge of the substrate.

FINISHING TAPE

A finishing tape is disclosed for use in positioning fasteners for securing building elements. The finishing tape further provides masking for immediate coating of the fastener or plug after installation. The finishing tape is formed from a flexible substrate having pressure-sensitive adhesive attached to a back side for adhesion to building construction materials and indicia imprinted on a top side. Apertures are equidistantly spaced along the length of the substrate with gun tip markings on each side of the apertures to provide a visual indication where to position the gun tip for inserting a screw or nail fastener. The indicia serve as visual templates for establishing proper location for fastener placement for attachment of a construction member, wherein said finishing tape provides proper and symmetrical fastener placement.
