TRANSFORMER-INTEGRATED GUARDRAIL APPARATUS AND KIT
20190390461 · 2019-12-26 ·

An apparatus and related kit for forming the apparatus that includes a modular perimeter guardrail assembly useful on top of electrical transformers found in industrial settings. The apparatus and kit combines anchors, posts, braces, and midrail clamps that are able to be assembled by a worker quickly, safely and intuitively. The apparatus may be assembled, disassembled, and reassembled any given configuration of the guardrail apparatus on the same or different transformer and serves to prevent workers from falling off the top of the given transformer.

System for anchoring a post to a concrete slab or other structure
10487522 · 2019-11-26 ·

A post for anchoring to a structure. The post comprising an elongate member, a lower jaw secured to the lower end of the elongate member, and an upper jaw releasably securable to the elongate member to permit an adjustment of the distance between the jaws. The post includes a compression clamp secured to the upper jaw and releasably engagable with a surface of the structure when the post is positioned about thereabout with said upper jaw adjacent to one surface of the structure and said lower jaw adjacent to the opposite surface. The compression clamp includes a visual indicator to provide visual notice of the application of sufficient compressive force to secure the jaws on opposite sides of the structure in order to accommodate a predetermined lateral load upon the elongate member and to resist the disengagement of the post from the structure.

Fall protection system for electrical transformers

A fall protection system for a substation transformer is provided where the substation transformer has a top surface with a lip extending about at least a portion of its periphery. The fall protection system includes a corner mounting assembly configured to couple at or adjacent to a corner of the substation transformer, the corner mounting assembly including a corner mounting element sized to receive a corner post from a rail assembly. A side mounting assembly having a u-shaped bracket is sized to engage the lip, the side mounting assembly having a first clamp positioned to engage the lip, the side mounting assembly further having a side mounting element sized to receive a side post from the rail assembly. The rail assembly includes a plurality of horizontal posts configured to couple with at least one on the corner post or the side post.

Modular ledgers of an integrated construction system

Various implementations described herein are directed to a modular ledger of an integrated construction system. In one implementation, the modular ledger includes a rail, having a first end and a second end. Each end of the rail is configured to receive a coupling component. The rail has a plurality of holes configured to couple to bracing components of the integrated construction system.

LOCKING DEVICE
20190257111 · 2019-08-22 ·

A barrier locking mechanism having a collared upright stem mounted to a base and a tubular sheath having an open lumen configured to receive the upright stem therein is disclosed. The tubular sheath has an opening through a lateral side of the tubular sheath axially positioned such that, when the upright stem is received within the lumen of the tubular sheath, the opening is positionable between the base and the collar of the upright stem. A threaded lock housing is externally mounted on the lateral side of the tubular sheath at a position coinciding with the opening in the tubular sheath so that a fastener can extend into the lumen of the tubular sheath at least as far as an outer perimeter of the collar.

Outrigger debris netting system
10294682 · 2019-05-21 · ·

An outrigger netting system configured for installation on a building slab such as a balcony to protect against falling projectiles. The system includes one or more spaced apart brackets attached to a target slab, each bracket having an outrigger to support a net suspended across. The outriggers each extend outward from the edge of the slab and are each optionally angled slightly upward from the surface of the slab. A spring-dampened cable assembly is attached between the bracket and outrigger in order to dampen the impact of and resiliently catch and retain falling debris. Each bracket includes hardware to secure and level the bracket to the slab to enhance rigidity and security and prevent displacement or dislodgment of the brackets during use.

Systems and methods for supporting an operator from a building
10238899 · 2019-03-26 ·

A suspension system for supporting an operator from a parapet of a building has first and second support assemblies adapted to engage the parapet, a first support line extending from the first support assembly to the first operator, and a second support line extending from the second support assembly to the first operator. At least one of the first and second support assemblies engages the parapet to support the operator relative to building. To allow the operator to move relative to the building, the weight of the operator is supported by one of the first and second support assemblies while the other of the first and second support assemblies is moved.

FALL RESTRAINT SYSTEM

The present system for fall restraint includes a mounting frame connected to a trigger mechanism and firing blocks, with a trigger cable extending through apertures in the mounting frame and trigger mechanism. Sudden movement by a user, such as a fall, actuates the trigger mechanism to trigger the firing blocks. The firing blocks are loaded with anchors and firing cartridges. Triggering the firing blocks causes the cartridges to fire, propelling the anchors into an anchoring surface, such as a roof. Because the user is connected to the trigger cable, once the anchors deploy the user is anchored to the roof and their fall arrested.
