Male reflux valve
A male reflux valve comprising a distal body portion and a proximal body portion, the proximal body portion having a male connection for connection to a female connection of an access device, a valve element operatively positioned within the distal body portion, a core operatively positioned within the distal body portion to retain the valve element into sealing engagement with the distal body portion and an actuator reciprocably retained within a generally circular cylindrical longitudinal bore of the proximal body portion in engagement with the valve element to open the valve element when engaged by the female connection of the access device.
Tissue expander injection assemblies
An injection port assembly for a tissue expander and/or mammary prosthesis comprising a composite silicone matrix having embedded fiber layers. The composite matrix materials may cover or extend from the outside perimeter of the injection port assembly and provide self sealing polymeric materials if punctured by a needle. The tissue expander and injection port assemblies and structures may be formed of MR scannable materials. The injection port structures may have palpation lumps for locating the injection port structure subsequent implantation. The injection port structure may be remotely located from the tissue expander and connected thereto via tubing.
LINEAR INSERTION DEVICE WITH ROTATIONAL DRIVE
A system for delivering fluid to a user transcutaneously includes a torsion spring, a drive wheel, a linear slide having a stylet attached thereto, and a cannula. The torsion spring, when actuated, is configured to rotate the drive wheel to cause the linear slide to move axially to drive the stylet and cannula into a user-s skin.
INTRAVENOUS CATHETER DEVICE WITH INTEGRATED EXTENSION TUBE
The present invention relates to peripheral intravenous catheters, and in particular to an integrated peripheral intravenous catheter having a low profile securement platform, a needle hub having an interior compartment and further comprising a paddle grip, and an extension tube coupled to the catheter and stored within the interior compartment of the needle hub prior to catheterization.

Septum arrangement
Disclosed is septum arrangement having a pierceable septum. The pierceable septum has first and second surfaces positioned opposite to one another and a peripheral surface. A compression element has at least two compression members that partially or fully surround the peripheral surface and has at least two gripping members. Each compression member is connected to at least one gripping member, and the gripping members extend from the compression members towards a common axis (A) which intersects the first surface. A resilient element exerts a biasing force on the pierceable septum that is directed towards the common axis (A). The gripping members define an aperture between them such that introduction of a needle into the aperture exerts a force on the gripping members that counteracts the biasing force and moves the gripping members apart from each other.

INTRAVENOUS FLUID BAG WITH AN INTEGRATED VALVE HAVING A SEAL WITH A COMPRESSED STATE THAT PERMITS FLUID FLOW INTO THE BAG AND A RELAXED STATE PREVENTING FLUID FLOW
An intravenous fluid bag comprising: a primary chamber configured to retain a liquid; a valve in fluid communication with the primary chamber, the valve including a housing, a spike element, and a seal, with the housing surrounding the seal, which surrounds the spike element; the spike element having a first end culminating in a tip, a second end having an inner conduit, and one or more through holes between the tip and the second end in fluid communication with the inner conduit forming part of a continuous liquid passageway in fluid communication with the primary chamber; the seal having a relaxed state preventing fluid flow through the valve, and the seal having a compressed state through which the through holes of the spike element extend allowing fluid flow from a source external the intravenous fluid bag, through the through holes, through the inner conduit, and into the primary chamber.

Winged needle set securement
A connector to secure a winged needle set to a catheter assembly may include a male luer lock. The male luer lock may include a tapered male discharge nozzle and a locking ring surrounding the tapered male discharge nozzle. The locking ring may be internally threaded. The connector may include a septum configured to prevent flow through the tapered male discharge nozzle. The connector may include an arm, which may include a first end, a second end, and a hinge portion disposed between the first end and the second end. The first end may be coupled to the male luer lock. In response to the hinge portion moving from an open position to a closed position, the arm may be configured to secure the winged needle set to the connector.
