INTRAVENOUS TUBE UNTANGLING DEVICE
Intravenous (IV) tube untangling devices are provided. The IV tube untangling device includes a single-piece integral housing having a top portion with a first inner surface, a bottom portion with a second inner surface and a flexible interface disposed on a first end of the housing and joining the top portion and the bottom portion. Tubing grooves are disposed on the first and second inner surfaces and are configured to receive multiple IV tubes. The flexible interface provides a biasing force configured to either keep the housing in a closed position or to keep the housing in an open position. The housing may include a securing tab. The IV tube untangling device is configured to slidably move along the multiple IV tubes to untangle and/or straighten the IV tubes. Methods of operating IV tube untangling devices are also provided.
MULTI-LUMEN MANIFOLD AND METHOD OF OPERATING A MULTI-LUMEN MANIFOLD
Manifolds and methods of operating manifolds are provided. An example manifold for controlling multi-lumen devices is provided that includes a substance supply mechanism. The substance supply mechanism independently provides a substance to, or remove a substance from, each of a plurality of lumens. The example manifold also includes a lumen selection mechanism. The lumen selection mechanism selectively opens and closes a connection between the substance supply mechanism and at least one of the plurality of lumens. A corresponding method of operation is also provided. An example embodiment also includes a manifold for use with a vessel seclusion device.
PLASTIC TUBING KINK REMOVAL DEVICE AND METHOD
This application provides methods, compositions, and kits for use in removing kinks in tubing.
TELESCOPING SMOKE EVACUATION DEVICE FOR USE WITH HANDHELD SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
A smoke evacuation device is disclosed for use with a handheld surgical instrument, which includes an elongated tubular body having opposed proximal and distal end portions, wherein the proximal end portion of the tubular body is adapted and configured for communicating with a source of suction and the distal end portion of the tubular body is adapted and configured to intake smoke generated at a surgical site, and attachment means for attaching the tubular body to the handheld surgical instrument.
PORTABLE RETRACTING DEVICE FOR MEDICAL TUBING MANAGEMENT
A portable retracting device for medical tubing management includes a housing. The housing includes a retractable cord disposed within the housing, wherein the retractable cord is configured to extend from a side of the housing. The device includes a first spring clamp configured to attach to clothing of an individual, a second spring clamp configured to clamp to the medical tube having a first diameter at a first location of the first medical tube, and a third spring clamp coupled to an end of the retractable cord configured to clamp the medical tube at a second location of the first medical tube to form a first loop in the first medical tube from the first location of the first medical tube to the second location of the first medical tube.
Sterile port connection
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to connection assemblies providing a connection between a tubing a port. The port can be disposed within and particularly extending through a bore of the port. The port and tube are coupled to provide an aseptic connection.
Medical coiled tubing
Disclosed herein are sterilized medical coiled tubing and process for producing the same. One process comprises: helically winding a length of the medical tubing along a mandrel such that adjacent turns of the medical tubing are in contact with each other; applying solvent where the turns of the medical tubing contact each other to produce coiled medical tubing; allowing the solvent to dry; removing the medical tubing from the mandrel after the solvent has dried; and subjecting the medical tubing to a sterilization process using ethylene oxide with in-chamber aeration.
INTRAVENOUS IN FUSION SET AND ACCESSORY THEREFOR
This invention relates to an intravenous infusion set and accessory for an intravenous infusion. There is provided an accessory for securing an intravenous infusion set to at least part of a user’s forearm arm including primary engagement means (2) for engaging the accessory to a portion of a main intravenous line (3) and secondary engagement means 5 for simultaneously engaging the intravenous line (3) to another portion along the line (3). The primary engagement means (2) is displaceable along the line 3 such the position of the accessory (1) may be adjusted along the length of the line (3) and encloses the periphery of the line (3). The primary (2) and secondary (5) engagement means are proximate such that, operatively, when the secondary engagement means (5) engages the line (3), the line (3) forms a loop (6) which may be positioned to engage at least part of the user’s forearm.
Fluid conduit system
In some examples, a conduit system includes a conduit defining a conduit lumen configured to provide a flow path for a fluid between a container and a medical machine. A flexible member secured to the conduit is configured to substantially occlude (e.g., close) the conduit lumen when deformed by a force acting on the flexible member toward the lumen. The conduit system includes a clamp head configured to pass through an opening defined by the conduit and exert the force on the flexible member, such that the flexible member occludes the conduit lumen. In examples, the conduit is substantially rigid conduit configured to provide a relatively constant geometry and/or flow path for the discharge of a nozzle.
Breaker device for acting onto a closure element of a medical tubing
A breaker device (1) for acting onto a closure element (40) of a medical tubing (4) comprises a drive arrangement (2) having an electric drive device (20) and a drive element (23) driven by the drive device (20), and a breaker module (3) which is arrangeable on the drive arrangement (2). The breaker module (3) comprises a housing (30), a movable part (31) movably arranged on the housing (30) and a breaking element (315) for acting onto the closure element (40) of the tubing (4), wherein the breaker module (3) in an attached state is placed on the drive arrangement (2), the drive element (23) being in operative connection with the movable part (31) in the attached state such that a movement of the drive element (23) causes the movable part (31) to move for actuating the breaking element (315). A control device (5) serves for controlling the electric drive device (20) for driving the drive element (23). Herein, the control device (5) is constituted to control, during a detection routine, the electric drive device (20) to drive the drive element (23) in order to move the movable part (31), wherein the control device (5) is further constituted to analyse at least one feedback signal received during the detection routine for determining a type of the breaker module (3), the feedback signal being indicative of a movement of the movable part (31) during the detection routine.
