A POWER CLOSURE MEMBER ACTUATION SYSTEM
A power closure member actuation system for moving a vehicle closure member between an open position and a closed position includes an actuator and a user movement sensor configured to sense a motion input from a user on the closure member to move the closure member. A user interface is configured to detect a user interface input to modify at least one stored motion control parameter associated with the movement of the closure member. A controller is configured to modify the at least one stored motion control parameter in response to detecting the user interface input. The controller detects the motion input and in response generates a force command using the at least one stored motion control parameter. The controller then commands movement of the closure member receiving the force command to vary an actuator output force acting on the closure member to move the closure member.

Safety System for Automatic Door
A safety system configured to prevent a finger from getting jammed in a gap between an automatic door and a door frame and stop an operation of the automatic door when the automatic door is caught by an obstacle. The safety system prevents a safety accident when a door D1, which is disposed at a gap d from a doorframe 10, configured to slide, and made of a transparent or semi-transparent plate shaped material, is opened or closed while sliding relative to a column 20 on which a push switch for opening the door D1 is installed The safety system for an automatic door includes a first switch means S1 installed along a front edge of the door D1, and a second switch means S2 installed at a front end of the doorframe 10 to cover the gap d between a surface of the door D1 and the front end of the doorframe 10.
FINGER PINCH PROTECTION FOR AN ENTRANCE SYSTEM
Disclosed is a method (50) of providing finger pinch protection at a hinge area of a swing door-based entrance system (1) having a motorized automatic door operator (30) for opening (2) of the swing door (10) in an automatic mode of the entrance system (1), wherein the entrance system (1) also has a manual mode in which a human user may cause opening and closing of the swing door (10) by manual force. The method involves monitoring (52), by a first sensor function (S1), for presence of a person or object in a first zone (PD) at the first door leaf surface (12-1) and non-proximate to a vertical door edge (14). The method also involves monitoring, by a second sensor function (S2), for presence of a person or object in a second zone (PDHA) at the first door leaf surface (12-1) and proximate to said vertical door edge (14). When any of the first sensor function (S1) or second sensor function (S2) detects presence in the first zone (PD) or second zone (PDHA) in the automatic mode during an ongoing opening of the swing door (10), the automatic door operator (30) is controlled so as to stop opening of the swing door (10). When the second sensor function (S2) detects presence in the second zone (PDHA) in the manual mode, the automatic door operator (30) is controlled so as to counteract an attempt by a human user to manually open the swing door (10). A corresponding entrance system (1) is also disclosed.
Power door closing algorithm
A system for operating an automatically movable panel that forms a portion of an exterior of a vehicle, and provides access to an interior of the vehicle; a motivator connected to the panel and moving the panel through a range of motion; a proximity sensor; and a control module disposed within the motor vehicle, the control module having a processor configured to execute control logic, the motivator and the proximity sensor in electronic communication with the control module. The control logic including: determining a position of the panel; receiving a plurality of passive inputs; selectively utilizing the motivator to move the panel through the range of motion based on the passive inputs; utilizing the proximity sensor to selectively determine when to initiate movement of the movable panel through the range of motion with the motivator; and informing a motor vehicle occupant of movement of the panel via a human-machine interface.
Radar sensor, radar sensor system, and method for determining the position of an object using horizontal and vertical digital beam formation for measuring point-reflective and surface-reflective objects
A radar sensor for a vehicle includes a control unit and an antenna array. The radar sensor is configured to perform a three-dimensional scan to determine a vertical and a horizontal position of an object in order to assist with distinguishing the geometrical nature of the object.
VEHICLE OPENING AND CLOSING BODY CONTROL DEVICE
A vehicle opening and closing body control device includes: a control unit configured to control an opening and closing body drive device that drives an opening and closing body of a vehicle, and to cause the opening and closing body to open and close based on an operation request; a detection unit configured to detect an obstacle present around the opening and closing body based on a detection result of an obstacle sensor; and a setting unit configured to set a target stop position that is a position where the opening and closing body is near the obstacle based on a distance from the opening and closing body to the obstacle before operation of the opening and closing body is started. The control unit causes the opening and closing body to stop at the target stop position when the target stop position is set.
OPENING AND CLOSING BODY CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
An opening and closing body control device for a vehicle includes: a control unit configured to control an opening and closing body drive device driving an opening and closing body of a vehicle to open and close the opening and closing body based on an operation request; and a detection unit configured to detect an obstacle present around the opening and closing body based on a detection result of an obstacle sensor. The control unit sets an operation speed of the opening and closing body to a first speed when the obstacle is not detected during an operation of the opening and closing body, and sets the operation speed to a second speed or less and causes the opening and closing body to stop at a position where the opening and closing body is close to the obstacle, when the obstacle is detected during the operation.
