When the second sensor function (S2) detects presence in the second zone (PDHA) in the manual mode, the automatic door operator (30) is controlled so as to counteract an attempt by a human user to manually open the swing door (10). A corresponding entrance system (1) is also disclosed.
MOVEABLE INFRARED CURTAIN
An infrared (IR) sensor for use in a door sensor. The IR sensor may include one or more rows of emitters configured to generate an emission beam. The emission beam may have a width that is at least a width of an opening below the door sensor. The IR sensor may also include one or more rows of receptors configured to receive an evaluation beam. The receptor beam may have a maximum width that is at least the width of the opening. At least a portion of the receptors may be further configured to be one or more of deactivated and ignored, such that the width of the evaluation beam is reduced to correspond with a reduced width of the opening during a closing of a door.
INFRARED CURTAIN SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An infrared (IR) sensor for use in a door sensor. The IR sensor may include a plurality of emitters arranged in multiple rows. Each emitter of the plurality of emitters may be configured to emit an emission beam comprising IR light. A plurality of receptors may be arranged in multiple rows. Each receptor of the plurality of receptors may be configured to receive a reception beam comprising the IR light reflected off of a surface. One or more lenses comprising refractive elements may be configured to duplicate and direct one or more of the emission beams and one or more of the reception beams onto the surface to form an IR pattern. The IR pattern may include multiple IR curtains. One or more of the receptors and/or emitters may be deactivated to change a width of the IR pattern and/or number of IR curtains.
Enhanced door detection
A door control system is provided. Aspects includes a sensor having a field of view in proximity to a door threshold of an entrance to an occupancy area, wherein the sensor is adapted to detect objects in the door threshold and a landing area proximate to the door threshold, wherein the sensor is operated based on a movement of a door in the door threshold. And based at least upon detecting an object within a portion of the door threshold or the landing area, the sensor operable to signal a door operation controller to perform an action.
FINGER PINCH PROTECTION FOR AN ENTRANCE SYSTEM
Disclosed is a method (50) of providing finger pinch protection at a hinge area of a swing door-based entrance system (1) having a motorized automatic door operator (30) for opening (2) of the swing door (10) in an automatic mode of the entrance system (1), wherein the entrance system (1) also has a manual mode in which a human user may cause opening and closing of the swing door (10) by manual force. The method involves monitoring (52), by a first sensor function (S1), for presence of a person or object in a first zone (PD) at the first door leaf surface (12-1) and non-proximate to a vertical door edge (14). The method also involves monitoring, by a second sensor function (S2), for presence of a person or object in a second zone (PDHA) at the first door leaf surface (12-1) and proximate to said vertical door edge (14). When any of the first sensor function (S1) or second sensor function (S2) detects presence in the first zone (PD) or second zone (PDHA) in the automatic mode during an ongoing opening of the swing door (10), the automatic door operator (30) is controlled so as to stop opening of the swing door (10). When the second sensor function (S2) detects presence in the second zone (PDHA) in the manual mode, the automatic door operator (30) is controlled so as to counteract an attempt by a human user to manually open the swing door (10). A corresponding entrance system (1) is also disclosed.
AUTOMATIC DOOR
The invention relates to an automatic door and method for controlling an automatic door (10), comprising a door controller unit (70) for controlling a door, acting on a door drive; further comprising a monitoring system (11) comprising at least two door sensors (12, 32) mounted on two opposite sides of the door, as seen in passage direction, where each of said sensors (12, 32) comprises a scanning unit (16, 36) that monitors a sensor safety area, where a safety signal is applied to the door controller unit upon detection of an object within the sensor safety areas of said sensors. According to the invention after a predefined timespan (TL) of no detection within said sensor safety areas of said sensors, the monitoring system (11) is set to a restricted mode in which at least one sensor safety area is set to a restricted area, where the safety signal is then provided upon detection of an object within the restricted area, where further, once a detection in the restricted area occurs, the monitoring system is set back to an unrestricted normal mode.
