System for alarm-monitoring patients on continuous free flow oxygen delivery via T-piece on closed tracheal suction system
An endotracheal tube alarm apparatus includes an inner cannula having an outer mating surface, the outer mating surface having a seated first electrical conductor, and a ventilator tube having an inner mating surface slidably coupled to the outer mating surface of the inner cannula, the inner mating surface having seated second and third electrical conductors extending circumferentially about the inner mating surface and each in complementary opposition to the first electrical conductor so that the third electrical conductor is in electrical communication with the second electrical conductor through the first electrical conductor.
Smart small-bore connector device
A connector device includes a connector. An electrical lead wire is positioned in the connector. The electrical lead wire is configured to provide communication between the connector device and an external device. In certain embodiments, the electrical lead wire includes a contact point on a surface of the connector for electrically coupling the connector device to the external device. In addition to or as an alternative to the electrical lead wire, the connector device may include an optical coupling or channel in the connector configured for optical light transmission between the connector device and the external device.
Random pinout catheter
A catheter is disclosed comprising: a connector including a plurality of first contacts and one or more second contacts; a shaft including a plurality of electrodes, each electrode being coupled to a different one of the plurality of first contacts; a memory coupled to at least one of the second contacts, wherein the memory is configured to: store a pinout map identifying an order in which the plurality of electrodes is coupled to the plurality of first contacts; and provide the pinout map to an external device via one or more of the second contacts after the connector is coupled to the external device.
System having a cable assembly and plug and receptacle connectors
Catheter assembly includes a cable assembly. The cable assembly includes first and second cable segments that are interconnected by a plug connector and a receptacle connector. The plug connector includes an elongated plug substrate and a mating array of electrical contacts supported by the plug substrate. The receptacle connector includes a system array of electrical contacts. The receptacle housing is sized and shaped to receive the plug substrate during a mating operation.
Heated respiratory hose wiring
Helically winding an extruded web to form a wall of a heated hose about a central axis, extruding a bead of plastics material around a heating wire such that the extruded bead comprises the heating wire at a first location within a cross-section of the extruded bead, helically winding the extruded bead onto the wall of the hose to provide a support helix, and exerting tension on the heating wire to draw down the heating wire toward the central axis such that the heating wire migrates radially inward from the first location to a second location within the cross-section of the extruded bead.
Integrated humidifier chamber and lid
A blower unit for use as part of an integrated blower/humidification system is described. The blower unit has an outer casing, which encloses and forms part of the blower unit, the casing including an air inlet vent. The blower unit further includes a humidifier compartment for receiving a humidifier unit with a separate gases inlet and outlet, the compartment having a heater base for heating the contents of the humidifier unit. The compartment also has a blower inlet port which aligns with the humidifier unit inlet in use, the blower providing a gases path through the casing between the inlet vent and the inlet port. The blower unit also includes a fan for providing a pressurised gases stream along the gases path, and a power supply unit for powering the fan. The gases path is routed over the power supply unit in order to provide a cooling air flow.
Method and apparatus for increasing therapy compliance
A breathing assistance unit for providing pressurized heated humidified air to a user increases user compliance. The breathing assistance unit generates positive emotional and cognitive states of a user about the therapy.
HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM CONNECTIONS
A circuit connector for a humidification system, the system comprising a base unit configured to be engaged by a humidification chamber. The circuit connector comprises an inlet to fluidly connect to an outlet of the humidification chamber to receive humidified gases therefrom, an outlet to sealably connect to or integral with a conduit for directing the humidified gases to a user, and an electrical terminal for electrically coupling the circuit connector to an electrical terminal associated with the base unit. The circuit connector may be releasably and lockably connectable to the outlet of the humidification chamber and/or orientation features may control orientation of component parts of the system as they are assembled.
Charger for pressure sensing catheter
A charger for charging a pressure sensing catheter is provided. The charger can include a plurality of charging ports for receiving a portion of the proximal section of the pressure sensing catheter. The charging port may include an engagement portion for engaging with the portion of the proximal section of the pressure sensing catheter such that when the engagement portion engages with the proximal section of the pressure sensing catheter, the engagement portion is fluidly coupled to the catheter lumen and the pressure transmission medium from the engagement portion is displaced from the engagement portion to charge the one or more balloons of the pressure sensing catheter. The charger can include a cover for covering the engagement portion. The charger can include flutes defined on a surface of each charging port to permit a predetermined volume of the pressure transmission medium to be displaced from each charging port.
MODULAR MEDICAL DEVICE CATHETER SYSTEM
A modular medical device catheter including a parent module and an adapter module. An attachment mechanism couples the adapter module to a surface of an inner lumen of the parent module. The attachment mechanism includes a coil in which a surface of the coil directly engages with the surface of the lumen of the parent module. The adapter module can include an elongated element having one or more electrical conductors.
