Safety barrier for automated vehicle parking facility
10407934 · 2019-09-10 · ·

A safety barrier assembly for a parking garage is positioned in proximity to an opening in a floor of the parking garage that accommodates vertical movement of a VRC between floors of the parking garage. The safety barrier assembly has left and right vertical guide columns. A handrail and a knee rail have opposite ends guided for vertical movement in the columns. A bottom rail is connected pivotally to the knee rail and hangs to a position below the knee rail when the knee rail is in the lower position. An actuator causes the bottom rail to pivot up as the knee rail is elevated.

Sliding window mechanism I
10344521 · 2019-07-09 ·

This invention pertains to mechanisms for opening and closing sliding windows especially in homes and buildings. A sliding window comprises a pane which is installed in a sliding frame. The frame is sliding vertically or horizontally within a static outer frame which has two parallel guides that guide the sliding frame. There are three similar approaches for such a mechanism: a two cables mechanism, a single roller chain mechanism and a two roller chains mechanism. The two cable approach uses four pulleys and two flexible cables. The single roller chain approach employs two sprockets. The two roller chains approach uses four sprockets. The window can be operated manually or by using an electric motor. The window assembly includes two safety systems which protect persons from being caught by a closing window. The window assembly also includes a burglar alarm and does not require a latch for window locking.

Door operator (10) for an overhead door system (400), said door operator (10) being configured to move a door (401) of said door system (400), comprising: a first electric motor (100), a second electric motor (200), a planetary gearing (300), a control unit (11) configured to control the first (100) and second electric motor (200), and wherein the first electric motor (100) is connected to a first planetary gearing input shaft (301) and the second electric motor (200) is connected to a second planetary gearing input shaft (302), and wherein a planetary gearing output shaft (303) is associated with a shaft (402) for movement of the door (401).

Overhead truck door opening and closing mechanism
10280672 · 2019-05-07 ·

An opening and closing mechanism for a roll-up cargo door for a truck is intended to decrease injuries to the people who load and unload items from box trucks and semi-trailers. The mechanism allows the user to open and close the overhead roll-up door of these trucks while standing firmly and safely on the ground at the rear corner of the truck. The door opening and closing mechanism is in the form of a loop of material that is attached to a lower portion of the roll-up door and a guide disposed near the top of the door frame. The loop is disposed along one of the vertical frame members of the door so that it is out of the way of the cargo hold when the door is open.

A system and method for remotely controlling and determining a status of a barrier that include determining that a vehicle is parked at a predetermined vicinity of the barrier. The system and method also include sending at least one barrier control signal to remotely control movement of the barrier based on the initial state of the barrier. The system and method additionally include determining a current state of the barrier. The system and method further include presenting the current state of the barrier, wherein the current state of the barrier is presented to display if the current state of the barrier is a closed state based on the at least one barrier control signal sent to remotely control movement of the barrier.
