RESPIRATORY INTERFACE
Interfaces for positive pressure therapy having a mask assembly, a headgear assembly and a connection port assembly are disclosed herein. The connection port assembly has a ball joint connection with the mask assembly and includes a quick release button for easily disconnecting the gases source conduit from the mask assembly. The mask assembly may include a bias flow vent that is formed separately and attached to the mask assembly. The headgear assembly encircles the rear region of the user's head and may include at least some portions that are substantially non-stretchable.
UNIVERSAL CAP FOR MALE AND FEMALE CONNECTORS
A cap is described for connection to a medical connector, the cap includes a housing having a top wall and sidewall forming a cavity, and an integrally formed protrusion. The protrusion includes an inner thread on an inner surface, the inner thread being sufficient to interlock with a mating feature of a female needleless connector. The inner surface of the protrusion defines a second cavity. The outer surface of the sidewall of the protrusion is tapered and adapted to engage a male luer connector in a press-fit connection. The second cavity configured to define a chamber to contain an absorbent material and disinfectant or antimicrobial agent. The cap may also include a peel seal to prevent the disinfectant or the antimicrobial agent from exiting the second cavity. An exterior sidewall surface of the housing may include a plurality of grip members.
Lockable quick coupling
A simply lockable quick coupling for releasably connecting a hose to an implantable apparatus, comprises a first attachment piece that can be connected to the hose and a second attachment piece that can be connected to the apparatus, wherein the attachment pieces can be rotated relative to each other in the locked state.
Connector system with a female connector and a male connector, and a system including a plurality of the connector systems
A connector system (47, 48, 49, 50) for a medical application including a male single channel fluid connector (X) designed with an outer collar (M2) arranged concentric with an inner tube (3) and extending beyond a center collar (M1), and a female single channel fluid connector (Y) is designed with an outer collar (F1) arranged concentric with a tube (13), wherein the male single channel fluid connector (X) is interconnectable with the female single channel fluid connector (Y) to thereby form a fluid tight single channel connection for passage of fluid, and to a luer type female single channel fluid connector (YS), and wherein the female single channel fluid connector (Y) is interconnectable with a luer type male single channel fluid connector (XS). Also a system including a plurality of the connector systems is disclosed.
ANTIMICROBIAL INSERTS FOR STOPCOCK MEDICAL CONNECTORS
Various embodiments of an antimicrobial insert for a stopcock medical connector are provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to an antimicrobial insert that is seated within at least a portion of the annular bore of the connector's tap, wherein fluid within the annular bore contacts the antimicrobial insert, thereby preventing microbial proliferation within the stopcock medical connector.
MEDICAL DEVICE WITH ANTI-ROTATION PUSH TAB
A medical device, comprising a hub or housing having a push tab including a main portion extending radially from an upper surface of the hub or housing, and at least one anti-rotation feature for resisting rotation of the hub or housing. A cannula is directly or indirectly connected to the hub or housing. The medical device may be a catheter, the cannula may be a catheter tube, and the hub or housing may be a catheter hub or an introducer needle tip shield for the catheter.
DEVICE FOR DELIVERING AN ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITION INTO A MEDICAL DEVICE
The present disclosure is directed to a device for delivering an antimicrobial composition into a medical device. Some embodiments disclosed herein provide a method for preventing infection and microbial ingress in medical device connections. The device includes a male connector with a distal tip and a recess at the distal tip. The surface of the recess includes an antimicrobial composition. In certain implementations a male luer comprises a tapered sealing member further comprising a recess containing chlorhexidine acetate.
System for enhanced sealing of coupled connectors
A system for enhanced sealing of coupled medical lines includes a male fitting, a female fitting, and a flexible annular collar seal. The seal provides a sealing function to an open end of the connector. The male fitting is made of medical grade materials and includes a male connector fluidly coupled to a first line. The female fitting is made of medical grade materials and including a female connector fluidly coupled to a second line and configured to mate with the male connector. The seal is made of a medical grade polymer coupled to one or both the male fitting and the female fitting.
Universal medical gas delivery system
A first source of medical gas has a generally cylindrical male outlet with a cylindrical bore and a threaded outer cylindrical surface. A flexible cylindrical elastomeric medical gas tubing has an input end with a bushing making a flush abutment with the male outlet at the output orifice. An output end attaches to any of a plurality of medical gas utilizing devices, but preferably with a dampening disperser held in position in the space in the vicinity of a patient's nose and mouth. An annular flange of the input end bushing resides within a central cylindrical bored out region extending through the first end and nearly to the second end of a rotatable connector forming an interior surface of a connector with threads coupling with the threads of the male outlet. The second end is an annular abutment against the annular flange holding the input end tubing bushing against the outlet source and providing an airtight coupling. A gripping means is on the exterior surface of the connector.
A HANDLE FOR AN ENDOSCOPE
A handle (4) for an endoscope (1) includes a first shell-shaped (6) housing part and a second shell shaped housing part (7) adapted for mutual engagement so as to form a housing. The shell-shaped housing parts (6, 7) include a first recess (10) and a second recess (11) so arranged and configured that when the first and second shell-shaped housing parts (6, 7) are mutually engaged, a circumferential recess is provided in the exterior surface of the housing. The handle (4) further includes a hoop (28) adapted to be received in the circumferential recess and hold the first and second shell-shaped housing parts together.
