[Problem] A drive unit (10) for driving, via a first and second geared cable (8, 9), a first and second member to be driven (sun roof and shade) provided to an opening part formed on the secured roof of a vehicle, wherein while being able to switch between a state in which the power from a motor (18) is transferred to both the first and second members to be driven and a state in which the power is selectively transferred to the first or second member to be driven, the member to be driven, in which the transfer of the power from the motor (18) is blocked, is prevented from moving during an impact when the vehicle collides in the selective transfer state. [Solution] The output path of the motor (18) is divided into a first and second output shaft (22, 42). Moreover, a first and second electromagnetic clutch (24, 44) for switching between connecting/disconnecting a first and second pinion gear (23, 43) to/from the first and second output shafts (22, 42) is provided, and each pinion gear (23, 43) is secured to a frame (3) so as to not be able to rotate when disconnecting from the clutches (24, 44).

Slider window assembly with movable panel drive system

A vehicular slider window assembly includes a frame portion having an upper rail and a lower rail, a fixed window panel, and a movable window panel that is movable along the rails between an opened position and a closed position. A drive system is operable to move the movable window panel between the opened position and the closed position. The drive system includes a single flexible drive element that, when the drive system is actuated to move the window panel in one direction, the flexible drive element pulls the movable window panel along the rails, and when the drive system is actuated to move the window panel in the opposite direction, the flexible drive element pushes the movable window panel along the rails. The lower rail includes guide structure that limits flexing of the flexible drive element when the flexible drive element pushes the movable window panel along the rails.

FLEX-DRIVE HINGE ACTUATOR

A flex-drive actuator for a satellite boom hinge or other hinge applications. Using a motor-driven cog and a unique drive chain, the hinge can be reversibly driven between open and closed positions, thereby deploying or stowing the boom and attached payload. The chain includes links designed so that, when bent in one direction, the chain pre-buckles into a rigid circular arc form that matches the deployment path of the hinge. This pre-buckling essentially converts the chain into a rigid gear segment that can carry a moment to actuate the hinge. As the cog retracts the chain and the hinge closes, the circular shape of the chain de-buckles on the free side of the cog, where the chain can be stored as a straight section inside of a boom tube or folded into a magazine. The flex-drive actuator can accommodate any desired actuation angle by addition of links to the chain.

TENSION ARRANGEMENT FOR A DOOR OPERATOR SYSTE

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems AB has developed the present invention relates to a connection device (100) for a door operator system(S) for opening and closing an opening (O). Said door operator system(S) comprises a door (20) and a drive unit mounted on said door (20) and arranged to move the door (20) between an open and closed position. The door operator system comprises an elongated transmission member (40) extending along a side of the opening (O), wherein a driven transmission member (34) of said drive unit (30) is arranged to interplay with said first elongated transmission member (40) so as to move the door (20) between the closed and open position. Said tension arrangement (100) comprises a bracket member (110) for facilitating attachment of said tension arrangement (100); a tension device (T) comprising a connection member (120) for connecting said first elongated transmission member (40) and a spring arrangement (130) comprising a spring member (132). Said spring arrangement (130) is configured to be connected to said connection member (120) so as to facilitate adapting the spring load of said spring member (132). Said tension device (T) is configured to be arranged in connection to said bracket member (110) so that tension of said first elongated transmission member (40) is facilitated. The present invention also relates to a door operator system.

Overhead door operator system

The disclosure relates to an overhead door operator system and to a method for controlling such a system. The overhead door operator system opens and closes an opening. The system includes a first frame section (4) at a first side (7) of the opening (2) and a second frame section (6) at a second side (5) of the opening (2). A door (8) is movably connected to the door frame (3). A drive unit (10) is mounted on the door (8). An elongated transmission member (19) extends along the first side (7) of the opening (2) and the first frame section (4). The drive unit (10) includes a driven transmission member (18) in driving connection with the motor (11) and the elongated transmission member. The method comprises the steps of: detecting door movement; determining if detected door movement relates to unexpected door movement; and, if so, taking action so as to prevent more extensive damages.

Door operator system

A door operation system opens and closes an opening with a door. A drive unit mounted on the door and having at least one motor moves the door from the closed (C) position to the open (O) position and vice versa. An elongated transmission member extends along a side of the opening. The drive unit includes a driven transmission member in driving connection with the motor that is movably connected to the elongated transmission member and arranged to interplay with said elongated transmission member and to be driven along the elongated transmission member. The elongated transmission member at least partially wraps around the driven transmission member. At least one guide member with a sliding surface with a curvature is mounted to the door to interplay with the elongated transmission member to guide the elongated transmission member into contact with the driven transmission member. The elongated transmission member is configured to slide along the curvature to urge the elongated transmission member to flex and follow the curvature.

The invention relates to a device for automatically opening or closing a window or a door and system and method for controlling and managing indoor air quality via the Internet. The system monitors indoor air parameters through sensors, and when these parameters reach predefined user thresholds, provides room ventilation through natural air convection by automated opening/closing of doors and/or windows. The automatic opening/closing device (26) consists of a housing with means for fixed attachment to a window or a door. The housing hosts: a stepper motor (16) and a means for transforming the rotary motion into a linear motion (9, 13) which drives an extended flexible connection (10, 11). The flexible connection (10, 11) pushes or pulls a support element (1) which is mounted on a window/door, thereby opening the window or door.
