CONNECTOR SYSTEM WITH RELEASABLE CONTOUR SEAL FOR A FLUID SYSTEM
A connector system providing a releasable, liquid-tight seal for a fluid system is provided. The system includes a female connector, having a cylindrical opening, and a male connector, having a tubular end section, which is to be inserted in an insertion direction into the cylindrical opening. Inside the tubular end section, a fluid passage is formed. On an outer circumferential surface of the tubular end section, annular protrusions are integrally formed. When the tubular end section with the annular protrusions is inserted into the cylindrical opening, the intermediate protrusion and the rear protrusion each form a press-fit with the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical opening, whereby a liquid-tight seal between the male connector and the female connector is generated.
Hub for coupling a cannula with a transfer device
A cannula hub includes a shaft mount segment and a cannula coupling segment. A set of coupling nubbins radially extend from the outer surface of the cannula coupling segment. The coupling nubbins are aligned with one another along a helical cannula coupling pathway on the outer surface and are adapted to be received within a cooperative helical groove on a transfer vessel. The coupling nubbins have a protrusion projection distance that is greater than the depth of the groove. When a sufficient rotational force is applied to the cannula hub, the coupling nubbins score the inside face of the groove which increases the groove depth and enables the coupling nubbins to advance along the groove while forming a tight compression fit of the coupling nubbins within the groove.
Isolating drainage catheter
Aspects of this disclosure relate to catheter assemblies, that include an inner tube component, an outer tube component that fits over the inner tube component, and a disposable layer of film that isolates the otherwise fluid-exposed portions of the catheter from the fluid it drains. This disposable film can be removed at regular intervals and obviates the need for catheter exchanges as the isolating disposable film, rather than the catheter itself, is removed. The principal characteristic of the disposable film is that it is relatively impermeable to fluid, for example, bodily fluids.
CONNECTOR AND MEDICAL DEVICE SET
A connector includes: a male connector portion; a first female connector portion; and a second female connector portion. The connector defines a flow path therein. The male connector portion is shaped to be connectable to a medical device female connector portion that is equal in shape to the first female connector portion. The male connector portion is shaped to not be connectable to a medical device female connector portion that is equal in shape to the second female connector portion.
MEDICAL LIQUID COLLECTION TIP, LIQUID COLLECTION NOZZLE, AND INJECTOR SET
The medical liquid collection tip (1) includes a male member (11) that is to be inserted into a tube end (154) of an injector (150) at one end, and includes a liquid collection needle (20) at the other end. A flow path (8) penetrates through the tip (1) in a lengthwise direction thereof and causes the male member (11) and the liquid collection needle (20) to be in communication. The outer circumferential surface (12) of the male member (11) is a male tapered surface with an outer diameter that becomes smaller as the leading end is approached, and is configured to be fluid-tightly connected to the female tapered surface of the tube end (154).
Device and method for resizing adipose tissue for implantation
A deagglomerator for use in resizing masses of cells. The deagglomerator may include a plurality of apertures defined by a plurality of front and back edges. The masses of cells may be passed through the plurality of apertures from the front to the back, and from the back to the front, repeatedly. The deagglomerator may also include a plurality of blades that may aid in the deagglomeration of the cell masses. The deagglomerator may be configured between two syringes so that the tissue may be passed back and forth from the first syringe through the device to the second syringe, and then back again from the second syringe through the device and to the first syringe. In this way, the masses of cells may be properly deagglomerated.
Medical connector for use with the fluid delivery system and fluid path
A medical connector includes a body defining a lumen for fluid flow through the medical connector. The medical connector includes a luer member and an annular member disposed about the luer member. The annular member includes internal and/or external engagement structures. The medical connector may be provided on the outlet of a syringe or on a catheter. A fluid path is disclosed including a first section and a second section. The first and second sections may each include a medical connector to provide a removable connection with a syringe and a catheter, respectively. The medical connector may provide a removable connection between the first and second sections. A fluid delivery system is disclosed including an injector, a syringe operatively associated with the injector, and a fluid path connecting the syringe and a source of injection. The medical connector may provide a removable connection between the syringe and fluid path.
OCULAR SURGICAL WORK TIP ADAPTER
An adapter for a surgical hand piece with a single lumen work tip converts the handpiece to infusion/aspiration (I/A) cleanup of lens epithelial cells in the capsular bag of the eye a patient after phacoemulsification. The adapter is in the form of a sleeve whose proximal end is to be joined to the distal end of work tip. The sleeve also has at least one aspiration hole located toward the distal end of the sleeve.
Blood Collection Device and Related Systems and Methods
A blood collection device to reduce hemolysis in a peripheral intravenous catheter system may include a distal end. The distal end of the blood collection device may include a male luer adapter, which may include a distal opening. The blood collection device may include a cannula in fluid communication with the male luer adapter. The cannula may include a distal end and a sharp proximal tip. The blood collection device may include an elongated neck disposed between the male luer adapter and the sharp proximal tip. The blood collection device may include a fluid pathway extending from the distal opening through the sharp proximal tip. A diameter of the fluid pathway may be constant. An entire length of the fluid pathway is represented by L, and the diameter of the fluid pathway is represented by D. D.sup.4/L may be equal to or less than a predetermined value.
Medical connector
Some embodiments comprise a connector including a rigid housing having a first end and a second end. A second member can be positioned at a second end portion of the housing and be engageable with a second device. The second member can have a body portion having a first body portion, a second body portion, and a flow lumen extending axially through the body portion, an annular covering portion extending in a radial direction away from the body portion, a receiving portion extending away from the covering portion in an axial direction, and at least one protrusion extending radially away from an outside surface of the body portion. In some embodiments, the second member can be supported by the housing such that, in an assembled state, the first body portion is positioned within the housing and such that the annular covering portion and the second body portion are positioned outside the housing.
