Medical Container, an Adaptor for Mounting Onto Said Medical Container, and a Drug Delivery Device Comprising Said Medical Container
This medical container forms a reservoir for containing a medical product and has a longitudinal distal tip extending along a longitudinal axis. The distal tip defines a passageway in fluid communication with said reservoir. The distal tip includes a fitting portion configured to fit with a connector, and a mounting portion proximally located relative to said fitting portion and configured to slidably connect an adaptor to said distal tip. The mounting portion is configured to allow a free longitudinal movement of the adaptor relative to the distal tip when the adaptor is connected to the distal tip.
DISINFECTION CAP FOR IV NEEDLELESS CONNECTORS
Disinfection cap includes housing comprising closed top, essentially cylindrical sidewall, and open bottom formed by the sidewall with opening to inner cavity within the housing for receiving mating feature of needleless connector. Disinfection sponge can be configured within inner cavity, with removable cover sealing opening to inner cavity to seal sponge within inner cavity prior to cap use. Inner cavity includes threads on inner surface of its sidewall that do not correspond to the mating feature of needleless connector. One thread engages with mating feature of needleless connector. Plurality of disinfection caps can be disposed on strip of IV pole hanging device such that each cap can be peeled off the strip unsealed for immediate use, or separated from the strip sealed for later use.
COUPLING APPARATUS FOR INFUSION DEVICE
An infusion device for the passage of fluids to or from a patient via a syringe. The infusion device includes a valve assembly and a coupling apparatus. The coupling apparatus comprises a coupler, a first gland, a cannula, a second gland, and an inlet. The coupling apparatus defines a central lumen for the passage of fluids in an open configuration. The inlet may be coupled to a syringe.
SECURING CONNECTIONS TO DIALYZERS
The present teachings include techniques for securing a connection to a dialyzer or the like—e.g., securing the junction between a dialyzer port and a connector (e.g., a DIN connector) that couples the port to tubing of an extracorporeal circuit of a hemodialysis system. To this end, a locking device may engage both a DIN connector and a portion of the dialyzer, such as the cap or an adapter engaged therewith. The locking device may include an interior void sized and shaped to accommodate winged portions (or other portions) of the DIN connector to mitigate rotation thereof relative to the port to which it is engaged. Further, the locking device may be used to ensure that coupling between the DIN connector and the port is proper and secure. In this manner, a locking device can mitigate leaks, which can be catastrophic during a hemodialysis treatment or the like.
DUAL ENDED DISINFECTING CAP FOR STOPCOCK VALVES
A universal cap for both male and female connections includes configuration of structural elements allowing the cap to be opened at either end. Optionally, an inner wall feature allows each end of a cap structure to function as its own cap, or perform a separate capping function. For example, should one end of the cap structure be in use, and the other end of the cap structure be open to air, the end of the cap structure in use, or performing the capping function, is not compromised. Optionally, dual ended cap structure includes features designed to maintain the pressure in a closed system, for both the male and female luer lock ends.
DISINFECTION CAP FOR IV NEEDLELESS CONNECTORS
Disinfection cap includes housing comprising closed top, essentially cylindrical sidewall, and open bottom formed by the sidewall with opening to inner cavity within the housing for receiving tip including mating feature of needleless connector. Disinfection sponge can be configured within inner cavity, removable cover sealing opening to inner cavity to seal sponge within inner cavity prior to cap use. Inner cavity includes at least one thread on inner surface of its sidewall that does not correspond to the mating feature of needleless connector, but is sufficient to interlock with mating feature of needleless connector. Plurality of disinfection caps are disposed on strip of IV pole hanging device such that each cap can be peeled off the strip unsealed for immediate use, or separated from the strip sealed for later use.

Infusion systems, connectors for use with catheter devices, and related methods
Infusion systems and related methods involving a catheter hub and an extension or IV administration set having a male Luer connector for fluid communication with the catheter hub. A support adaptor is provided with the extension or IV administration set and has a body with a length between first and second ends, and a body wall having a continuous wall surface in a radial direction relative to the length and which defines an exterior of the body. An internal wall of the support adaptor defines a bore with the body wall, wherein the bore has first and second openings. A tubing length is located in the bore and extends out of the second opening. The bore includes first and second bore sections. Optionally, the second bore section is angled relative to the first bore section. A support surface is located beneath the bore, elevation wise.
Medical connector
A luer connector including a rigid housing having a first end and a second end. The housing further including a rigid tubular male portion at the first end, a rigid tubular female portion at the second end, and a longitudinal opening therethrough. The male portion is configured to be engageable with a female connector. The female portion is configured to be engageable with a male connector and to prevent the disengagement of the male connector from the female portion. In some embodiments, the female portion is configured to maintain a fixed rotational position when the male connector is being threaded therewith, but to rotate with the male connector once the male connector has become fully engaged with the female portion so as to prevent the male connector from becoming unthreaded from the female portion.
Disinfecting luer cap and method of use
Medical devices including a cap for a medical connector are disclosed. In some embodiments, the cap comprises a disinfectant, such as an antiseptic fluid and an insert configured to seal or partially seal the medical connector as it is engaged with the cap. In some embodiments the cap insert has a segment which is deformable under axially applied pressure as an end-user attaches the cap to the medical connector. In some embodiments this insert is configured to improve the exposure of antiseptic to the outer surface of the medical connector while minimizing exposure of the antiseptic inside the medical connector open lumen.
