Embodiments of the application are directed toward an enteral feeding connector, comprising a stem member of a male enteral feeding connector configured to fit inside a shroud skirt of a female enteral feeding connector, wherein an end of the stem member comprises a positive taper funnel-shaped opening. In some cases, an outer radial surface of the end of the stem member is shaped to match a profile of an inner radial surface of the shroud skirt, such that the outer radial surface of the end of the stem member is flush with the inner radial surface of the shroud skirt when the stem member is disposed within the shroud skirt.

Disinfection Cap

A disinfection cap is described for connection to a medical connector, the disinfection cap includes a housing having a top wall and sidewall forming a cavity, an open cell foam structure disposed within the cavity and a closed cell foam structure disposed against the open cell foam structure, the closed cell foam structure having an interference fit between the closed cell foam structure and the inner surface of the housing. The closed cell foam structure may have a polygonal or star shape, wherein fluid can flow through a gap formed between the closed cell foam structure and the inner surface of the cavity. The open cell foam structure may be impregnated with disinfectant, whereby compression of the open cell foam structure causes excretion of the disinfectant upon insertion of a luer connector.

Enteral syringe with vented collar

A syringe having an enteral collar with a vent is disclosed. The syringe may also include a plug which reversibly covers the vent. Other embodiments relate to the use of the syringe. The vent allows fluid within the region between the enteral collar and the tip to be removed.

Fluid warming tube and connector

A tube and connector assembly for warming an intravenous fluid comprises a tube, a temperature sensor, and a connector. The tube includes a single hollow generally cylindrical side wall with an inner surface along which the intravenous fluid flows. The tube further includes first and second electrically conductive wires, each within the side wall and electrically connected to one another to carry electrical current to warm the intravenous fluid. The temperature sensor is configured to measure a temperature of the fluid flowing through the tube. The connector includes first, second, and third side walls. The first side wall receives the tube. The second side wall is positioned opposite the first side wall and is configured to receive line tubing. The third side wall is spaced apart from the second side wall and includes threads on an inner surface thereof configured to receive a line connector for the intravenous line.

CONNECTORS FOR CONNECTING COMPONENTS OF A BREATHING APPARATUS

A gas delivery component of a CPAP system is configured to magnetically connect to a second gas delivery component of the CPAP system to deliver a pressurized flow of breathable gas to a patient's airways. The gas delivery component includes a lumen forming a first part of a gas flow path for the breathable gas. A connection end of the gas delivery component is configured to engage the second gas delivery component. In addition, a magnetic connection assembly is located at the connection end and includes a magnet positioned at least partially within the lumen. The magnetic connection assembly is configured to magnetically secure the gas delivery component to the second gas delivery component.

Catheter

A catheter includes a sheath configured to be inserted into a body lumen, a drive shaft configured to be inserted into the sheath and to transmit mechanical drive force, an operation unit configured to operate the drive shaft, and a connection section having a proximal side connected to the operation unit and a distal side connected to the sheath in such a way as to be attachable to and detachable from the sheath.

Disinfection cap for IV needleless connectors

Disinfection cap includes housing comprising closed top, essentially cylindrical sidewall, and open bottom formed by the sidewall with opening to inner cavity within the housing for receiving tip including mating feature of needleless connector. Disinfection sponge can be configured within inner cavity, removable cover sealing opening to inner cavity to seal sponge within inner cavity prior to cap use. Inner cavity includes at least one thread on inner surface of its sidewall that does not correspond to the mating feature of needleless connector, but is sufficient to interlock with mating feature of needleless connector. Plurality of disinfection caps are disposed on strip of IV pole hanging device such that each cap can be peeled off the strip unsealed for immediate use, or separated from the strip sealed for later use.
