Systems With Closures

A system may have a closure with an electrically controlled actuator. Sensor circuitry may gather user input. The sensor circuitry may include a force sensor, touch sensor, proximity sensor, and/or other sensors. Based on input from the sensor circuitry, the closure may be slid relative to a system body or may otherwise be moved relative to the body. The sensor may receive user input from a user's fingers. This allows the movement of the closure to track user hand motions. To open and close the closure, a user may press against closure edge sensors mounted to edges of the closure. Closure motion may also be controlled by button press input, proximity sensor readings, touch sensor input and/or other user input provided to an input device in the system.

System, method, and apparatus for high speed operation

A motor control system comprises a motor control circuit, a non-transitory storage medium and a processing circuitry. The storage medium is configured to store a current threshold profile that is indicative of a current requirement of the motor control circuit for an operational cycle of a motor. The processing circuitry is configured to adjust the stored current threshold profile based on a change to the operational cycle of the motor (e.g., from standard to non-standard).

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR POWER TAILGATE SAFETY

A pick-up truck includes a pick-up bed, a tailgate connected to the pick-up bed, a motor configured to move the tailgate along a path, a camera, and processors. The processors stop the tailgate while the tailgate is automatically moving in response to detecting, via the camera, any object within the path,

Method and device for detecting potential pinches

A method for detecting potential pinches caused by at least one powered movable panel between a closed position and an open position, by: measuring a physical quantity at a plurality of panel positions when the panel is moved towards the open position so as to get a first profile, measuring said physical quantity in a reference position, when the panel is moved towards the closed position, and determining an offset value, determining a second profile by shifting the first profile of a shifting value, measuring said physical quantity in a repetitive manner when the panel is moved towards the closed position so as to get a third profile, and detecting a potential pinch if the third profile crosses the second profile.

A maintenance system for monitoring a gate device includes the gate device having a gate guide, a gate segment which is movably supported in the gate guide, and a sensor which monitors a gate guiding quality. A method for monitoring the gate device includes the gate device having a gate guide, a gate segment which is movably supported in the gate guide, a sensor which monitors a gate guiding quality arranged at the gate segment, and a maintenance unit. The method includes, when a movement of the gate segment occurs, detecting a vibration value and/or an acceleration value of the gate segment via the sensor, and transmitting the vibration value and/or the acceleration value as maintenance data to the maintenance unit.

Method And Device For Detecting Potential Pinches

An apparatus is provided an includes a measuring device that measures a physical quantity representative of a movement of a panel between a closed position and an open position. A processing device: measures the physical quantity when the panel is moved towards the open position; measures the physical quantity in a reference position when the panel is moved towards the closed position; determines, for the reference position, an offset value between the physical quantity measured when the panel is moved towards the closed position and another value of the physical quantity measured when the panel was moved towards the open position; determines a second profile by shifting the first profile based on the offset value; repeatedly measures the physical quantity when the panel is moved towards the closed position to obtain a third profile; and detects a potential pinch if the third profile crosses the second profile.

A retraction device includes an entrainment member to be releasably coupled to the movable furniture part, and a spring device for applying a force to the entrainment member in a direction opposite to an extension direction of the entrainment member. The spring device can be tensioned in the extension direction of the entrainment member by a spring holder separate from the entrainment member. A coupling device can couple a movement between the entrainment member and the spring holder, and can vary the distance of a fastening location of the spring device relative to the entrainment member as the entrainment member extends in the extension direction. The coupling device includes a control element having a longitudinal axis extending in the extension direction. To vary the distance between the fastening location and the entrainment member, the control element rotates about its longitudinal axis when the entrainment member is extended in the extension direction.
