VEHICULAR STORAGE BOX
A vehicular storage box that includes a compartment for holding articles, the compartment comprising four sides, a bottom and a top lid. The compartment is fabricated from an engineered plastic or a polymer matrix composite. The box further includes a locking assembly situated within the lid. The locking assembly comprises a central locking wheel connected to a linkage, a plurality of pawls for each of at least three of the sides of the compartment, and a solenoid switch. The locking wheel is movably connected to the plurality of pawls. Further, the solenoid switch is connected to the linkage to move the wheel to drive the plurality of pawls into and out of the at least three of the sides of the compartment into a respective locked position of the lid and an unlocked position of the lid.
Kinematic control system for an automatic sliding panel
Embodiments for a kinematic control system for controlling the operation and movement of sliding panel for are disclosed.
System hinge assembly
A system can include a housing; a hinge assembly operatively coupled to the housing for rotation of the housing about a hinge axis, where the hinge assembly includes permanent magnets that generate a first magnetic field and a second magnetic field orientable with respect to each other via rotation of the housing, where the first magnetic field and the second magnetic field include an aligned orientation, generate a clockwise restoring torque responsive to rotation of the housing in a first rotational direction from the aligned orientation, and generate a counterclockwise restoring torque responsive to rotation of the housing in a second, opposite rotational direction from the aligned orientation; and an electromagnetic mover operatively coupled to the housing for rotation of the housing about the hinge axis.
System and method for managing opening and closing of a vehicle window
A system, method and computer program product for detecting, by at least a first sensor, a position and/or movement of an object at or on at least first window, determining, if the position and/or movement of the object detected by the at least first sensor represents an intention by a vehicle occupant to move the at least first window, and responsive to a determination that the position and/or movement of the of the object represents an intention by the vehicle occupant to move the at least first window, cause the at least first window controller to initiate a movement of the at least first window accordingly.
CAPACITIVE TOUCH VEHICLE ACCESSORY
A system for a vehicle having an accessory positioned along the vehicle. The system may also include a sensor located along the vehicle in wireless communication with the accessory, wherein the sensor triggers activation of the accessory based on input from an external source.
Electronic lock
An electronic lock includes a housing, and a locking system within the housing. The locking system includes electronics and a lock. More particularly, the housing contains therein, a controller and at least one electronic input device electrically coupled to the controller, where the controller causes the lock to transition between a locked position to an unlocked position responsive to input from the electronic input device.
ASSEMBLY OF A VEHICLE WITH A CONTROL ELEMENT ARRANGED ON A VEHICLE DOOR
An assembly of a vehicle comprises a vehicle door, a control element arranged on a door portion of the vehicle door, and a control device for controlling a closing function for closing the vehicle door and an opening function for opening the vehicle door. The control element comprises at least one first operating device for generating an operating signal on user operation at an outer portion and at least one second operating device for generating an operating signal on user operation at an inner portion. The control device is configured to trigger a closing function for closing the vehicle door with reference to an operating signal of the at least one first operating device and to trigger an opening function for opening the vehicle door with reference to an operating signal of the at least one second operating device.
LAVATORY DOOR SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A lavatory door system for a vehicle, in particular an aircraft, with a lavatory door; a pneumatic actuator configured to open and close the lavatory door based on a differential pressure, wherein the pneumatic actuator is coupled to a vacuum toilet system of the vehicle to generate the differential pressure; and an operating interface configured to receive a user control operation and to selectively release the differential pressure from the vacuum toilet system for operation of the pneumatic actuator based on the received user control operation.
Adapted Power Window Switch Assembly and Retrofit Kit
A mechanical adaptation to a vehicle power window controls is provided that require less hand/finger coordination and less force to actuate, therefore becoming useful for persons with limited control of their hands (e.g., arthritis, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injury, among others). A power window control includes four levers, one on each control switch. Two of the levers are long and the other two are shorter. The long levers are provided on the two switches further away from the user (which control the front and rear left side windows). The short levers are attached to the two switches closer to the user (which control the front and rear right side windows). The base of each lever can be attached to the corresponding switch through a heavy-duty double-sided tape, where for flat switches, the lever is attached directly to the switch surface and for contoured switches, an adapter can be provided between the base of the lever and the surface of the power window switch.
ALTERNATIVE METHODS FOR OPENING DOORS AND HATCHES
A vehicle system for a vehicle is provided. The vehicle system includes an electronic control unit configured to receive a signal from a key fob, and determine whether the key fob is within a predetermined distance from the vehicle based on the received signal. Upon determination that the key fob is within the predetermined distance from the vehicle, the electronic control unit determines whether a predetermined action has been performed by a user based on an output from one or more vehicle sensors. Upon determination that the predetermined action has been performed, the electronic control unit causes a component of the vehicle to at least one of unlock and open.
